Gardener in the Apocalypse (A Plant Vs Zombie system Fanfic)

In this world, your class matter to your life. NO!, this is not a fantasy game-like novel introduction of how the weak class will amount to nothing in their world and somehow the MC with a weak ass class or classless will become OP. This is a zombie Apocalyptic world where those who have a strong class survive and weaker class died from the bizarre variation of zombie and monster in this world. What would happen when someone has a class of gardeners? They die! That's it. I mean, how do you think you are going to fight zombies with flowers and your plant? oh, wait! that is what our MC has done, taking inspiration from the Plant Vs Zombie game, he uses his gardener class to its maximum potential, killing zombies left and right. Author note: Well I honestly don't know how I am going to do this, I am just trying to create something that I really want to know as there is only 1 Plant vs Zombie related fanfic with the apocalypse that I know(but it is a fucking BL). Since no one really created one, I'm gonna created it myself. The ability will be modified to be similar(but not the same) to the garden warfare version of PVZ(plants are able to walk)(not in the beginning though). Of course, there is also limitation such as ......well it will be a spoiler right... just enjoy! Disclaimer: I don't own the "Plant Vs Zombie" game and its variation as they are all owned by POPCAP. I also don't own the cover pic as I just take the cover of the PVZ GW achievement background and add my title.

[Plant vs Zombie]

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

As I looked upon my status, I noticed the new skill in my skill list, the new plant I obtained, and some change in more detail.

(George) "Hmm… it is really the almanac where I can see the information on zombies and plants. However, my version is also able to store not only zombies but possibly monsters that I killed."

(George) "It seems that sunflower cost is the same as in the game which is half the cost of a peashooter. Other than that, it seems that the notification does not provide me with some changes I got after a level up."

As I identify the change, I see that my attribute went up by a total of 10 which is automatically distributed to Mana +5, Stamina+2, Health+1, Strength+1, and Constitution+1. I'm not sure if my stats will go up by 10 every level up or it is just because I level up from level 0 to 1.

Besides the automatically placed attribute, I also got 5 AP which I presume to be an Attribute point and I can distribute it however I want. I think I'm gonna wait until I check whether there is another method of obtaining stats before deciding which Attribute to choose.

As for the skills, Plant Command doubles its range while Quick Growth doubles its speed. Oh right! I just realised that I already have used my mana before. Seeing that my mana and stamina bar is still full with all that running and skill activation means that level up will recover your state huh…

Looks like the notification also didn't mention this mechanism. This level up recovery state might prove to be a good way to get out of a tricky situation. However, seeing that there is no experience indicator in my status, I am not really sure if I can use this trick often.

(George) "Well, before I continue, I should close the door first before more zombies enter my apartment."

I close the door of my apartment and then lock it. I also block it with a table and some heavy stuff before leaving for my room. As I sit on my bed, I try the new skill I got.

(George) "Ok, since I am safe now, <Almanac>"

This time, instead of the usual black and white screen, a blue screen with white engraving at the side appeared before my eye. The text of the screen is now black instead of white and shows 2 tabs for now.

~Ding~

>(Zombie)

(Tier 0)

[Walker Zombies]

A regular zombie who can only walk and bite.

Damage: 5

Range: 1m

>(Appease-mint)

[Peashooter]

Peashooters are your first line of defense. They shoot peas at attacking zombies.

Cost: 1Mp, 100Np

Damage: 2

Fire rate: 1/second

Range: 50m straight

Health: 30

Peashooter uses the solar mana it gets from the byproduct of its photosynthesis to create a normal-sized pea covered with solar mana to damage anything that stands in its way. Immune to zombification.

(Plant Food Ability)

Rapid fire: Instantly shoot 25 peas in quick succession.

(Warfare mode only)

Speed: 1 m/s

>(Enlighten-mint)

[Sunflower]

Sunflowers are essential for you to produce extra mana. Try planting as many as you can!

Cost: 0.5Mp, 50Np

Mp Production: 0.25/min

Health: 15

Sunflowers use the photosynthesis process to convert the energy from the sun into solar mana. The solar mana is then converted into raw mana which is then transferred to the gardener directly without distance limitation. Immune to zombification.

(Plant Food Ability)

Solar Charging: Give an instant 25 Mp to the Gardener

(Warfare mode only)

Speed: 0.5m/s

(George) "Whoa! looks like I almost became a zombie! Looks like I was too careless due to the similarity it had with the plant vs zombie game that I think the zombie will only eat my brain."

(George) "Looks like I also need protection against zombies bite and maybe scratch if there is more zombie variant in the future.

After carefully reading the whole Almanac, I was surprised at how the plants are immune to zombification. It might be possible that they might die from an attack or when they are being eaten though.

Another surprise would be plant food. I still didn't know how to get those as in the game it drops from glowing green zombies, from the power lily plant, destroying green graveyards, or planting a plant on taiji tiles.

On the other hand, what confuses me is {warfare mode} which I think should be somehow connected to the garden warfare version of the game? I am not really sure as I don't play that version and only play the original and the second version. I just know about the garden warfare version from clips on the internet where the plant is able to walk.

(George) 'As it has a speed attribute maybe I can make my plant walk later? Remembering that the peashooter I planted before is still staying in his pot at the garden.'

(George) 'Well, I should now prepare to go out and bring some food and things that can be categorised as a weapon. Staying here is not an option as usually this type of apocalypse where there is a level system will cause the enemy or zombies to become strong as it evolves continuously.'

I prepare my belongings in my camping bag and start to pack up all necessities such as food and daily stuff. I also bring my phone in case I am able to use it again later as I might be able to charge it with an electric type plant…. Probably.

As I walked back to the garden, I found a big issue…

(George) "This is bad… I am not sure if I can find soil outside to plant. While at the road there is still soil at the side, there is none in this building as this is the 7th floor."

In the end, I decided to plant 4 sunflowers in my garden for my battery and decided to bring 1 pot with a peashooter on top as protection. As I finished my preparation, I opened the door of my apartment after removing the obstruction which I placed before and start my journey in this apocalyptic world.

Hello, author here. This is mostly MC fumbling around with status and discovering the inside and out of the status, almanac and how the current world that he knows works. It might boring for this chapter the next chapter, but i promise the chpater after these 2 will be action and battle
