Chapter 1: The change in the world

Earth - 2050

MC POV:

(George): "What the hell is going on?"

I remember watching a youtube livestream showing the very first warp drive spaceship being developed is going to start exploring our universe. That is until unexpectedly somehow a meteor just appeared out of nowhere and smashed the spaceship and brought it down to the Earth with its huge body. At that moment, the livestream is somehow still showing how the meteorite falls down to the earth as the screen slowly disappears in static noise. The camera for the livestream is probably destroyed from the pressure of falling down to the earth or the meteor itself.

At that moment, the world was brought to confusion in more ways than one. Just a few minutes after the livestream ended, a huge earthquake shook the earth. The Earthquake is around lower medium strength I measuring maybe 3 to 5 richter scale as there is no destroyed building nor windows and only objects and stuff is shaken out of its place.

However, the confusion is not the earthquake itself, but the way no one found where the meteor has landed. Although the spaceship was found easily as it unfortunately landed somewhere in shenzhen, a megacity in China, no sign of impact from the meteor was found anywhere near nor far from the site. Adding more to the confusion, the earthquake is actually found to be of the same scale everywhere. It is a confusion of the highest order as an earthquake caused by the fall of meteorite will be stronger in the area closer to the impact site than those which are farther than the impact site.

While many people of the world are still waiting for the discovery of the meteorite, an unexpected surprise befall the whole world. It was the next day, around 24 hours after the unexplainable phenomena, another huge change has befall the earth. An earthquake of the same scale as yesterday struck again to the whole world, but it was not the earthquake that changed the world.

(George) "Is this another meteor or just a normal earthquake?"

Dimensional energy(D-Energy){currently also classified as dark energy} concentration on the Earth has increased tremendously. D-Energy concentration will increase with time as Earth continues to evolve.

D-energy can now branch to different sub-energy which is much more compatible to the current inhabitant. Inhabitants can only manipulate the D-Energy once they are strong enough to withstand and control them.

All inhabitant evolution restraint is removed.

All inhabitants are able to evolve much faster than normal due to an increase in atmospheric D-Energy concentration and removal of evolutions restraint.

[NEW feature]

Entity Digital Status: allow inhabitants to look at their features and condition in digital format. Think/speak "Status" to view their own digital status.

Class feature: employ each inhabitant with class of their own for them to develop. Class is selected based on each inhabitant's previous experience and feats.

Level feature: inhabitant is classified with a numerical system to determine their experience and capability as an inhabitant alive or non alive.

Enemy spawn: due to increase in atmospheric D-Energy concentration, dimensional being or monsters may spawn anywhere on top of a solid surface as long as there is enough space and enough D-Energy concentration in that place. Enemy will not spawn in the level x 10^(Tier)m radius of any living being(able to be adjusted when the entity is able to manipulate D-Energy). Spawned enemies will take the form which resemble closest to the nearest entity with consciousness

Notice:

A huge spawning will occur at the start of this tier as the remaining D-Energy concentration after the evolution will be used for this massive initial spawning.

Dimensional beings can only be damaged by weapons of tier 1 and above. Weapons with 2 Tier lower than the tier of the Dimensional being are unable to injure them. Entities can only make weapons of the same tier as themself at the highest.

(George) "What the heck is this?"

After falling down from the unexpected earthquake, a black screen with a white font text appeared in front of me just like the terminal of a computer or the usual programming code font style. As I try to touch it, I discover that it seems to be unconnected to this world as my hand just passed through the screen.

(George) "Is this an announcement from an Alien? Well, I should just read it first before closing it as I might regret it later."

I read the announcement as I gape in amazement at the information it provided me.

(George) "The Hell? Is this an apocalypse? But that tier 7 somehow bugs me….is there a previous apocalypse before this one in the world?"

Wait a minute.... I remember reading in some wikia that there had been 5 mass extinctions in the Earth in the past and the 6 extinction period is ongoing from the start of 1900 AD until now. However, the reason why I remember this is because there is an opinion that the third mass extinction period actually has 2 separate periods. This means that now is the 7 extinction period or tier 7 upgrade of the Earth.

If that is true, this is nuts! Anyway, if I read the announcement carefully, I can see that the world will be in chaos after this from the mass spawning of monsters if I understand correctly just like an event from an RPG game. I should hurry and check my status before deciding my course of action.

(George) "Status"

As I utter this word, another screen of the same style and color as the announcement before shows up inside my head without blocking my vision. However, as soon as I look upon my status, especially the class that I obtained according to the announcement, I can only be surprised.

(George) "What the hell!"
