Anastasia wondered whether, if she died, she would end up in hell, given her prevailing thoughts of wanting this person in front of her dead. No matter how painful the woman's history was or the hardships she endured, she found it impossible to come to terms with her sister being mercilessly murdered. 

She contemplated whether Magnus had used Noor's emotions to gain her cooperation, but that could only be a portion of the truth. She said,
