Anastasia, like the rest of those present, became startled by Niyasa's agonising cry. When she leaned to the side, her gaze fell upon the sight of the young princess's hand trapped beneath one of the chair's legs, with blood slowly trickling from her right hand. 

"What is your hand doing under my chair, Niyasa?" Dante questioned her in a nonchalant tone, and he rose to his feet so Niyasa could extract her hand from its position. 

"Niyasa!" Lady Maya quickly got up from her seat and hurried over to where her daughter was. She tried to help her stand before shifting her gaze towards Dante.

Dante stared back at Lady Maya with an undeterred expression. Meanwhile, Niyasa continued to cry out in pain, as each slight shift of her hand caused a sensation akin to that of a hole being drilled from the back to the front of her trembling palm.
