CHAPTER 110

　　Elissa's POV

　　As I closed the spell book, a surge of desire welled up within me. I needed to find Eden, to be in his presence and feel his touch on my body. Just as that thought took hold of me, the door to the small space I hid myself swung open, and there he stood, as if conjured by my longing.

　　But the moment our eyes met, all the pain of our separation came rushing back. It was a bittersweet flood, the ache of being apart intensified by the sight of him standing there, his expression mirrored the yearning in my own heart.

　　Eden's confused gaze met mine, and it was as if he was trying to read my thoughts. Could he do that? I couldn't care less at this moment. My mind was blank. Void of any thoughts other than him filling my insides.

　　He matched my desire with his own, but I saw him suppress it, holding it at bay as he stepped closer. We had spent the entire day apart, a separation that should have been agonizing, but somehow, we had survived it, endured it without pain.
