10 Chapter 10
After looking around the building, I was able to find the ladders leading to the roof, after pushing a trashcan under the ladder, I jumped over it and went to the window of my target, which led to the bathroom of the house.
Using my new hacking capabilities I opened the window easily, the building is quite old, and there was no defence against hackers, as a boon I also gained a level up on Hacking.
I made it so the window slowly opened to prevent making noise, after it opened up, I went inside and waited for a few seconds to make sure no one was about to bust the bathroom door open.
After hearing nothing, I pressed my head against the door, the sound of a turned-on TV, and a few snores came from the other side, letting me know that a few were surely sleeping and some might be awake, I slowly opened the door and scanned the house.
'Three are watching the TV, and the other 4 are sleeping either in a room or straight up on the ground, very wasted.'
Ignoring the awake ones for now, I headed for the ones sleeping in other rooms, quickly dealing with them by pressing a pillow on their face and slitting their throats with my machete.

While dealing with the ones in the rooms I also made sure to steal their money by making their chip containing their eddies come out of their neck, in 3 deaths I had already made 500 Eddies, and none of them had any noteworthy cyberware that I felt the need to remove, so I went on with my mission.
Activating the quick hack mode I started to buzz, making it cover the sound of my machete killing two of their friends while they tried to understand what was wrong.

One of them was about to turn around so I activated Sprint and quickly hid behind the island of the kitchen area, waiting for something to happen.
Fortunately, they didn't notice their dead friends bleeding on the ground, I give the fault to the amount of alcohol in their bodies, and after the television started working once again they all sat back on the sofa, loudly screaming at their soccer team losing the game.
'Fuck that was close, if I demons I could have simply made them kill themselves and be done with this.' I thought while slowly crawling on the other side of the island letting me have a clear view of their heads.
Popping my rifle out I removed the safety and made it so it shot one bullet at a time, and aimed while activating the times slowing effects of my eyes.
*BANG BANG BANG
A blinding light filled the previously dark room, while the sound of a small explosion made my heart ring for a second, the previously blood-covered ground now having three more dead bodies, actually two and a half.
The one I had recognized as Garcia, the leader, was slowly crawling away towards the door, trying to escape an already sealed end to his life.
Hoping that the bonus still would be given, I put the rifle back and took my gun, slowly got behind Garcia and placed it against his head.
" PLEASE NO, I CAN P-" Before he could finish, his previously already maimed head got reduced to nothing by the point-blank bullet, sealing the end of his life, and the mission.
Before checking the reward, I made sure to scavenge everything I could from the house, which came out as 1596 Eddies, 3 magazines for my pistol, 4 for my rifle, some gold jewellery that I could sell to a pawn shop, and one very important thing.

'Sweet level up, I have missed reading your notification.' I jokingly thought while heading outside, sure that no one would call the police, we are in a poor area of Kabuki, it's not like people aren't used to hearing gunshots.
After far enough I called for Padre, and sure enough, he answered the call with a ragged voice, must have been sleeping.
" Akira, as happy as I am to hear your voice, don't you think it's a bit too late for a call?"
" Garcia decided to have a chat with Satan," I said without any remorse.
" I am sure they have a lot to talk about, May God be with you, my child." Padre quickly ended the call while sending me the money, happy that I finished the job, but too tired to have a chat.
Now 8000 Eddies richer I had one last job before going home.
' I guess I have to offer Lix that drink then.'
