Regular Life

At the present time, Ryuga was quickly getting himself ready for school. After waking up early in the morning, he did the usual routine before having a quick breakfast. He wasn't rushing to school though, the only reason he got himself ready early as usual was to get some work done on a few music compositions he had.

While many of them were his own original songs that he created in the past, he also recomposed multiple existing songs that he liked back in his old world. Ryuga was not picky when it came to music, he loved pretty much any genre.

He was the type that saw the positives in all forms.

In any case, Ryuga had changed into his school uniform and was now seated at his desk while clicking away on his computer. His headphones were secured tightly on his head as he listened to the music blasting through with a look of concentration on his face.

"The chorus is a bit off..." Ryuga frowned as he muttered this. Despite how talented he was when it came to music, even the most professional of musicians can make mistakes. "It's such a small mistake, but it really bugs me. I'll have to fix it after school..."

As Ryuga was pondering over these things, he suddenly felt his desk shaking ever so slightly. Glancing down, he saw that his phone was vibrating, along with the screen displaying that he was getting a call.

Picking up his phone, Ryuga removed one of the speakers of his headphones before answering the call. As he answered the call, Ryuga kept his focus trained on both it as well as whatever it was he was doing on the computer.

『Ryuga: Hello?』

『Hikikomori Rich Girl: Hey, Ryuga. You wanna play something?』

『Ryuga: Yuna, I'm literally about to go to school』

『Hikikomori Rich Girl: You still go to school?! Why not just stop going like me? Your family is more than wealthy enough to support you for the rest of your life』

『Ryuga: One, Vignette would kick my ass. Two, my mom would kick my ass even more. Finally, cause I want to』

The person he was currently talking to was a young girl his age named Yuna, and by the name he had her listed as on his phone, you can tell that she was not only rich but also someone who DIDN'T leave her house.

Basically, when it came to school, she was even worse than Gabriel.

In regards to the topic of school, since he hadn't even managed to finish high school in his old life, he honestly kind of wanted to in this life even if it meant going through the torture that was exams and math.

『Hikikomori Rich Girl: I can't believe that you want to go to school... Whatever, will you be able to play this afternoon then?』

『Ryuga: I should be able to. What do you even want to play?』

『Hikikomori Rich Girl: You know that new game called NewWorld Online?』

『Ryuga: What of it?』

『Hikikomori Rich Girl: We should play! You have the VR equipment, don't you?』

『Ryuga: Well, yeah-』

『Hikikomori Rich Girl: Perfect! I'll message Gabriel as well to see if she wants to play with us. I'll talk to you later!』

Before Ryuga could even get another word in, the sound of the phone call ending soon sounded in his ear as he slowly lowered the phone while looking at it with a deadpan look.

"That girl..." Ryuga could only give a small sigh before shaking his head. "Gonna ask Gabriel? As if she'll be able to play, that lazy-ass fallen angel definitely does not have the necessary funds to buy any VR equipment."

From what he had learnt, both angels and demons in this world who have come to the human world have a stipend, which was basically a salary they got from Heaven or Hell. When it came to Gabriel, her unholy actions had made that salary decline to near rock bottom.

"Whatever, not my problem. I better get going."

Switching off his computer, Ryuga picked up his bag that was leaning against the side of his desk before quickly leaving the room. Of course, he made sure to turn off the light, always remember to do that motherfuckers.

I see you, the person not turning off the light after leaving the room, I know you're reading this!

Ryuga's school wasn't too far from his house, so he didn't need his parents to drive him at all. After arriving at school, Ryuga couldn't help but stop for a moment as he stared up at the buildings, the other students passing him by as he did so.

'I know I voluntarily go to school, but I still can't help it...' Ryuga thought to himself as his lips curled slightly into a small frown. His eyes narrowed slightly as a solemn look soon appeared in his eyes. 'I wonder how the others are doing... maybe they've moved on?'

He had made many friends back in his old world, some to the point that they'd consider each other brothers and sisters, so he really couldn't help but have his moments when he would recall his old times with them.

Maybe they've already moved on? If that was the case, then Ryuga wasn't at all upset, he wouldn't want them to be forever affected by his passing. Of course, it was also his job now to try and properly move on from the past.

"Good morning, Ryuga!" Snapping him out of his thoughts was the sound of a feminine voice. Turning his head, Ryuga looked over to see the familiar face of one of his classmates waving while walking over to him. "Why are you standing out here?"

The person in front of him was a young girl with relatively short purple hair, along with a pair of matching eyes. This was none other than Vignette April Tsukinose, one of the two resident demons going to his school, at least from what he was aware of.

Vignette was quite the ironic character, despite being a demon, her demeanour was anything but demonic, if anything she could be described as angelic. Ryuga had met her alongside Gabriel, and he honestly found it funny how it felt as if their personalities were swapped around.

Gabriel was an angel, but was the irresponsible one. Vignette was a demon, yet she was polite and responsible. It made absolutely no sense.

"It's nothing, just have something on my mind." Ryuga responded soon after Vignette walked up to him. With that, both of them walked into the school together as they chatted casually. "Gabriel? Not sure. I was live streaming with her yesterday, and from what she said, I doubt she'll come to school."

"She better. I checked on her this morning, so hopefully she'll stop being lazy and actually do something aside from games." Vignette sighed as they were now walking through the school halls. "Her room was so filthy! I can't believe she can just leave so much stuff around like that..."

"And I can't believe that you're the demon..."

"What does that mean?"

"Uhh, don't worry about it..." Ryuga responded a bit awkwardly to this. Vignette seemed to be rather clueless when it came to her nature, she doesn't seem to realise that she was anything but a demon. Biologically yes, but not personality-wise. "In any case, maybe Gabriel will surprise us and actually arrive before us?"

"Do you really believe that?"

"Absolutely not."

As soon as they arrived in their classroom, they immediately looked over towards Gabriel's desk, and not at all to their surprise, Gabriel was nowhere to be found. Rolling their eyes, both Ryuga and Vigentte walked on over to where their desks were.

"She really didn't come today." Vignette sighed as she sat down. "Maybe she's just running late...?"

"Don't keep your hopes up, that just increases the disappointment even further when it hits." Ryuga chuckled slightly as he too sat down in his chair. Looking up at the clock, Ryuga quickly checked the time. "She has a few minutes, so who knows?"

"Gab aside, did you finish the homework we were given?"

"Of course I have."

"Great! Let's compare our answers." Vignette smiled as soon as she heard the response. While Ryuga may not always show himself to be the absolute role model student, his grades were undeniable. "I had some trouble with one of the questions, let me see what you wrote."

"Sure, go for it." Ryuga merely nodded before reaching into his bag. Soon after, he took out a clean writing book before placing it on his desk, which Vignette quickly took hold of. "Just remember to return before class starts, don't want to get yelled at so early in the morning."

"I don't think you need to worry about that."

"What do you mean?"

"I'm pretty sure the teacher is scared of you...."

"Huh?" Ryuga couldn't help but raise an eyebrow in sheer confusion upon hearing this response. "The teacher? Scared of me? The dude with the strictest and most stern expression in the world, the dude who looks like Agent 47, scared of me? I'm not that scary, am I?"

Vignette looked up from Ryuga's book, only to stare at him with the blankest look he had ever seen on her. Her expression then twisted a bit before she slowly looked away with a nervous smile on her face, further increasing Ryuga's confusion.

"Am I that scary?" Ryuga tilted his head as he muttered this. Though, he soon blinked in confusion. "Hm?"

As if feeling someone watching him, Ryuga looked around the classroom. After a bit of searching, Ryuga soon spotted a pink-haired girl a few seats away silently sending him looks. Having been found out, the girl quickly looked away as if nothing had happened.

'What's up with her?' Ryuga thought to himself. 'She's Gotoh Hitori, right?'

Ryuga had never personally spoken with her, in fact, he was pretty sure he had never seen her speak with anyone at all. She didn't seem to be the cold type who pushed away others, from what he could tell, it was more likely that she was just shy.

Whatever the case, why was she staring at him before?

While Ryuga was wondering this, the pink-haired girl who had previously been staring at him was now sweating nervously as she buried her face behind the guitar case she had on her desk. She did not expect to be found out, so she really just wanted to bury herself as deeply as possible right now!

She had a perfectly good reason for staring, nothing creepy at all! Well, maybe somewhat creepy...

The reason she had been staring was because she recognised Ryuga, and not just because he was her classmate. It was only by chance, but she had come across one of his live streams at one point in time, and after hearing him sing, she had become a regular viewer of his streams, especially whenever it was him singing.

This was why she was so surprised to see that her own classmate was a relatively popular live streamer.

Ryuga sang all kinds of songs, but she especially liked the rock music that Ryuga sang every now and then. Hitori wasn't jealous of his incredible musical talent, but she was jealous of his ability to perform in front of literally hundreds of people so casually.

True, they were only through screens, but that didn't change the fact that hundreds of people were listening to him sing live. If she were to ever try live streaming and singing, she'd no doubt freeze over from nervousness.

With so many thoughts in her mind, Hitori could only sigh. 'If only I could be like him...'

Back over with Ryuga, he eventually let the little 'incident' with Hitori pass by as he was now chatting with Vignette while going over their answers. It was as they expected as well, Gabriel completely failed to show up to class, and there wasn't that much time left.

"Gab didn't show up."

"No damn, not surprised though. It's Gabri-."

Ryuga's sentence completely came to an abrupt end as everyone seemed to notice a strange glow originating from one of the desks, more specifically, hovering just above the desk belonging to the fallen angel.

They all watched as the light began to fade away as a pair of literal panties now dropped gently on top of the desk. It was literal silence for a few very long seconds before a few of the males in the class surrounded the desk before seemingly praying to the sight.

"You don't think..." Vignette felt her eyebrow twitch as she watched the scene. "Did Gab..."

"No doubt. You think she'll be marked present with that?"
