37 Shaman King (Not really)

Still, Raynor needed to tell things from his perspective. Thankfully, Sona and his mother, Rose, explained several things in advance, and his father had a day to process it before he returned.

So, the Shaman started with the basics.

Going to sleep and waking up in the ancient forest, being trained by a hunter and then living there for four years.

As proof, he summoned his faithful yet useless companion, Dogo.

"Impressive, this is a wolf."

"I have a dragon and a few birds as well."

As he said that, he summoned his eagle and falcon. Then, he used his inventory and pulled out some meat for the birds.

"Beautiful specimens! I had never seen this breed before! Are they from that world?"

Raynor's father, Roland, ignored the wolf and instead focused on the birds.

Knowing this, Dogo started to release meek sounds.

"Hahaha, yes, you are cute too." The older Valeron stroked the fur of the wolf.

After inspecting his summons, it was time to talk about the future.

"So what are the plans? I assume we don't need to worry about your future?"

"...That is correct." Raynor nodded as he then had a pondering look.

"I have acquired two spa centres from current Lucifer. You guys can manage one in Iceland if you want."

"...Hold it! What do you mean 'acquired'?" For a second, the Shaman's father looked confused.

"Exactly what I said. I had a deal with the ruler of Sona's people. I will be making totems of fertility for them, but they will be in this Spa hotel resort."

As he explained, he looked at his Fiance.

"It is a Hotel resort, right?" The Hunter asked for confirmation.

"Yes. Quite a big one as well." The Sitri Heiress nodded back. What she is hearing is something she likes! If his parents will be working in one of these Spa, their security is guaranteed!

"Sounds lucrative, but neither me nor your mother knows how to run a hotel."

"That is something you don't need to worry about. There will be a proper devil staff in these places." Sona chipped in. She was assisting Raynor now.

"Hmm, and you said in Iceland? Interesting, I have never been there before, and language?"

"Leave that to my kin. We will prepare enchanted jewellery for such things. As you might have noticed, I can speak fluently even now. That is because of devil physiology."

"Convenient."

"Yes, it is."

~~~~~~Later~~~~~~
Raynor was happy that his parents agreed to run the spa for him.
As his father said, it would be a retirement he wanted, living in a hotel with hot springs and other amenities like a swimming pool, sauna and restaurants. He can expand more later on.
For now, he returned to his territory in the Gusion wilderness.
He needs to prepare another totem. This totem he spends his class time drawing and pondering on how to symbolise.
The teen decided on the wilderness of his new territory. He looked for a tree which satisfied his gut feeling.
'Hmm, something like Yaw should work. I could add some gems as well.'
The Shaman thought to himself as he looked around.
His eyes landed on a tree with a dark brown trunk. It looked like it was nearly dead.
Raynor swiftly walked over and put his hand on it.
His mana flows through it, inspecting it.
"Got it. You will do for my Shaman totem!"
With that done, he cut down the dead tree with his Fang Sword and removed the branches and excess wood he didn't need.
Once the shaman finished that, he placed the trunk into his inventory and returned to camp.
As his eyes scanned the surroundings, he found an appropriate location to place the totem.
Walking over there, he placed the wood and started to carve it with his carving knife.
Some blood, dead wood, and fire were all used in making the totem.
To finally finish this off, Raynor used the sand he got from the artificial lakes to make a portion of the totem to be underground.
And lastly, he got some rocks to circle the totem's area.
The finishing touch was to activate it with at least tens of souls burned to start the totem.
The totem was mundane compared to the Great Hunt or the Water Soul Totem he built in the middle of the lake.
As he was done, he walked over and placed his left hand on the totem.
He then selected the bombshell brown-haired beauty he had in the spoils tattoo.
To mould this soul into a 'weapon' of a shaman, he needed to feed this soul with the excess souls of humans he had and the natural magic flowing through the new totem.
The carving on the totem glowed as a person appeared before him.
Dressed in similar clothes to Sirzechs, only blue and female, with big burst and long brown hair and blue eyes, the woman looked at Raynor.
She was bound to him and his power. There is not much she can possibly do.
"So, a necromancer wants my power and human on top of that. How far have my kin fallen?"
She spoke in a pretentious, snobbish tone.
"They did Leviathan. Your original designer was a moron, and now your kin has to beg a human no less to fix your creator's shortcomings." Raynor jokingly started to fight back. He is going to beat the shit out of her snob attitude. Oh, he was expecting this.
He wants to have some fun from time to time.
"You dare to speak about Lucifer in such a tone! I would kill you if I could!" She tried to grab him, but her body just went through him.
"You are one dumb bint. Are you the original stupid like that?"
"Originals? I am the daughter of the Original Leviathan! Tsufaame Tereaku Leviathan!"
She proudly announced her identity.
"Oh, that's nice. But what is with your name? It's like Tsunami Teriyaki." Raynor pondered out loud.
"...If I could, I would kill you!"
"Meh, I made you into my slave, Tsufaame. I used blood and soul magic to attach you to myself."
"For a human, you are pretty devilish!" Instead of boiling from anger, she was pleasantly surprised when he said that! This guy was— amazing!
Devil approves of devil-like behaviour!
"Comes with territory." He shrugged before looking around. He was done with the binding now to make a conduit. He needs to make a weapon which he can use Leviathan's power from.
He proceeded to walk, and Tsufaame proceeded to move on her own! The Satan Leviathan's eyes narrowed as she realised he was telling the truth.
If she is far away from him, she will cease to exist. So, it's a new survival instinct. She has as a Spirit.
"You are one naughty man. To make me into a slave like this."
The brown-haired beauty with crossed arms floated next to him.
"I suppose I am. You will be pleasantly surprised that you and your successor are my slaves.
Serafall Leviathan is my pet just like you, and her sister is my Fiance."
*Scoff*
"What an usurper! There is only one Leviathan! And that is me!"
"True, and that Leviathan belongs to yours truly. So yeah. I have the full package. The title holder and the actual deal."
The Leviathan had no words to deny that. Her mouth opened and then closed.
"Oh, and I did kill Katerea Leviathan. So that makes me have the complete experience."
"...Damn you…"
"Now, now. To top it all, I shall wield your power as well. So yeah—" Raynor pondered on that.
He was like the Platinum trophy owner of Leviathan by this point.
"Damn you— Bastard! I don't know if I should be pissed beyond belief at you or proud that you are devil-like existence! This— this is frustrating!"
The Devil next to him was clenching her fist and was almost throwing a temper tantrum.
"Hey, it's your fault for dying like that. No one told you to get all megalomaniac without a half-asset plan." He shrugged at her temper tantrum.
"...Yes, I suppose you are right. All I wanted was to continue what my mother started."
She said with a sigh.
"So, mommy issues? I guess it makes sense." Now that he thinks about it, it's always with the rich and powerful who want to impress their mommy and daddy.
"Ugh…just shut up. How can there be someone as annoying as you?"
"There is. I have to be an annoying person. That comes with the profession. It's to piss someone off, making him get angry and lunge at me.
How do you think I killed Asmodeus, Beelzebub and Leviathan? I pissed all of them and killed them when they were throwing a fit.
The issue with you, strong people, is that you all think you are powerful.
But that's a fault. You don't need to be powerful to kill; even a mosquito can kill an elephant."
He casually explained to her.
"Makes sense, but at the same time, it does not. When two powers clash, a stronger will prevail."
"Yet, your sheer raw power was crushed by a technician. See the area I was given? Look around you. This is where you died, Tsufaame."
His words made her look around. There were a bunch of expressions going through her face.
"So don't tell me who will prevail. All it took was this dagger to slit Katerea's throat and use her blood to find you and summon you to my side."
"Fine. *Sigh* you are right. Happy?"
"Heh? You gave up so easily?" Raynor was surprised at how quickly she caved in.
"What of it? You are an annoying human."
"Am I? I can quickly return you from where you came. I might have bound you to me. But that is for you, not me." He chuckled after seeing her expression; she turned pale, like ghostly pale. The fear she was feeling turned her almost into an actual ghost.
That was because ego is essential to someone like her. The less ego she has, the more ghostly she would become. Until fear completely consumes her, and she becomes a poltergeist.
Thankfully, something like that can't happen to someone anchored to him.
One wouldn't want a source of power to simply cease to be power, especially after he spends resources like Katerea's soul and half of her blood to get his Leviathan.
"Did the cat get your tongue?" He teased the bombshell Leviathan.
"Whatever, I won't complain, happy?"
Even though she gave up, she still had that proud look. But this was enough. Raynor destroyed that pompous ass behaviour he got from her at the beginning.
"Good enough, I suppose."
~~~~~~Later~~~~~~

The Shaman proceeded to work on his conduit. This conduit is like a wand to a wizard and staff to a mage. It is essential to tap into Leviathan's power.

Thankfully, he got a lot of weapons; as someone who slaughtered armies in the Wolf War, he got a lot of Castle forged steel.

As he pulled out a longsword from the inventory, he inspected the blade and the craftsmanship.

"This will do. The way the blacksmith crafted this sword was basic, almost natural."

"Does it matter?"

"For stupid bint like you, it may sound unimportant, but this is to perceive magic.

You devils make magic entirely the opposite of nature. Like a ship that ignores water currents, if you follow the flow instead, you will pick up speed and deliver more magic."

For a second, the Hunter pulled out an ivory knife. Even in her spirit state, she could feel danger coming from the weapon.

"This here could kill you even if you were in your peak condition. Do you know why?" He showed it to her while spinning the blade between his fingers and then sheathing it back into the holster.

"Magic rituals?"

"Indeed, you grasp some of it. I made this ivory dagger from boar tusk with the intent to kill my enemies. Each stroke in its creation added and solidified the magic in the very existence of the weapon.

The dagger became a ritual to kill itself." He said with a plain voice as he summoned a bucket of blood and started to paint on the castle-forged steel.

*Gulp*

Her gulp made him understand that she understood what he implied.

"So you realised? When you have ritual gear like this, and on top of that, you add a totem prepared to kill devils, I could kill any devil; disregard your so-called pillar traits and power levels.

Shamanistic rituals like these target the soul if your soul is weak. You will die before the dagger cuts your artery; a simple cut is enough."

He casually explained to her as his paintbrush weaved through the blade.

Nature magic was weaved into the blade with each of his brush strokes.

"Okay, okay, I get it!"

"Why the fuzz? I am not done. Let me explain why you are here." He rolled his eyes at her. She reminds him of that maid. That woman became such a terrified baby girl around him.

"You're going to milk me of my power."

"...Not entirely correct, but not wrong either."

Once the blade was complete, Raynor stood up with the weapon he had just finished; strangely, the blood on the blade was already dry.

He then proceeded to walk towards the Shaman totem.

Since Tsufaame had to follow him the moment she floated into the Shaman Totem boundary, she turned solid!

"W-What!?"

"Surprised? You are closer to being alive than being dead, you know?"

"...I am?"

Before she can say anything more, Raynor spins the blade before stabbing her with it.

"!?"

Her mouth opened, but no words came out; instead, the paint on the blade glowed and turned bright.

The paint carved into the sword's blade as it turned into something more.

"The essence and spirit of the Leviathan to synchronise the power with a blade I had to stab you.

Not that stabbing means anything since you're just a spirit."

Once the process was done, he pulled the blade; it was no more castle-forged steel and blood; instead, it was blue-like sapphire with black tribal markings.

The power conduit was complete.

"...Damn you! You are one crazy human!"

"Say the Leviathan, who wanted to conquer the world. Did your brain even think your strength wasn't close to a baseline god? How do you intend to fight other pantheons with your meagre power?"

"...S-Shut up!"

"Well, whatever, let me show you the power of a Shaman!" He pointed his left hand at her; his Shaman tattoo glowed as Tsufaame turned into blue particles and, charged at his hand, formed into a ball of pure spiritual energy.

He then placed the ball into the blade.

The blade glowed, and a blue aura surrounded Raynor and the sword.

The sword morphed and evolved. It looked like a weapon made from crystal, the cross guard looked like the face of a sea dragon, and the handle was similar to the scales of a dragon.

While Raynor was impressed by the sheer beauty of the weapon, he was more shocked by the spike in his overall strength.

He can sense that his strength leapt by half, if not more! The issue was that his soul couldn't harness all of Tsufaame's power.

But once it can, he should be able to synchronise their strength like some sort of reactor and boost their power to kingdom come!

"So this power of Leviathan!"

"Hah! You think this is my power!? This is only scraps! Come! Swing the blade and witness for yourself!"

The Daughter of Leviathan bragged to him as he could feel the urge to unleash her power.

"Fine!"

Raynor leapt into the air, easily jumping several metres above the trees and looked at the lake in the distance. It was not the same where the temple was.

The Shaman swung the blade, and a massive silhouette of a Sea Dragon-like creature rushed towards the lake.

It was a spiritual attack accompanied by the sheer force of manifested water.

The Shaman looked at the attack with wide eyes. This was strong! However, he quickly felt the drain.

He could do several more swings before he passed out from mental tiredness.

Slowly, he landed on the ground and dismissed the state.

"A-Amazing! Did you just create an anime power!?" A female voice with a gushing tone exclaimed loudly.

"Hmm?" Raynor turned to the side. He saw a crimson-haired bombshell with clear blue eyes. The hair colour was the same as Sirzechs.

"Gremory."

Tsufaame said to him as she reappeared next to him.

"That was Shaman King, right!? I read the manga!" After saying that, she realised that she was geeking out in front of him.

"You could say that. I indeed copied the manga." Raynor, with a swirl, sheathed his conduit sword or, more precisely, Leviathan Sword.

"Oh…" She then realised that she hadn't introduced herself.

"M-My apologies! Allow me to introduce myself. I am Rias Gremory, the Heiress to the Gremory Clan, and this is my Queen, Himejima Akeno.

I apologise for the abrupt appearance, but I want to discuss some things with you."

The Queen of Gremory respectfully bowed but didn't say anything. However, there was a curious look in her eyes.

"What does she mean by 'Queen'? Is she into something kinky?" Tsufaame asked him with crossed arms. She realised that the pair of them couldn't see her!

Raynor chuckled for a second before smiling at Rias.

"Didn't your brother tell you that I am dangerous?" He asked with an amused tone.

"...He mentioned something like that." The Gremory smiled back at him.

"Yet, you decided to enter my lands and witness my newest weapon." He 'pushed' her with his words for a bit. He wants to see if she will cave in quickly.

"Wasn't my intention! A-And besides, I have something to offer!" The girl proclaimed Raynor had some idea what this girl was cooking, and it was amusing, in a sense.

Is Rias thinking of involving him in some serious devil business?

The more they involve him in their business, the fewer options they have later on.

How amusing.
