In the aftermath of Horyu's victory at the Chunin Exams, the arena was awash with a mix of shock, awe, and respect. His classmates from the academy, who had observed the entire event, were visibly stunned by the sheer display of skill and strategy that Horyu had demonstrated. Among them, Sasuke Uchiha's reaction was particularly noteworthy. His face, usually an unreadable mask, betrayed a whirlwind of emotions. His fists were clenched tightly, a physical manifestation of the storm brewing within. His eyes, sharp and focused, were locked onto Horyu, filled with a mixture of envy, frustration, and a burning desire to surpass him. In Sasuke's mind, the victory should have been his; he couldn't fathom how Horyu, whom he considered a weakling, had managed to outshine everyone.

Horyu, for his part, remained largely indifferent to Sasuke's visible distress. His attention was elsewhere, as he walked over to join his teammates Hinata and Shino. Hinata's reaction was the polar opposite of Sasuke's. She leaped forward, wrapping Horyu in a warm, enthusiastic hug, her face beaming with pride and happiness. Her mentor's victory was also hers in many ways, a testament to their shared journey and growth. Following Hinata's lead, Kurenai, their sensei, also joined in with a more modest hug, her eyes reflecting pride and satisfaction.

Shino, ever reserved, chose a more subdued approach, opting for a simple pat on Horyu's shoulder. This gesture, though minimal, carried a weight of respect and camaraderie that had been forged through countless hours of training and battles.

The group made their way out of the arena, the air filled with casual banter and laughter. Horyu walked alongside his teammates, his expression calm but a faint smile playing on his lips. The victory was sweet, but for him, it was also a stepping stone

As Horyu walked away from the arena with Kurenai, Hinata, Hanabi, Shino, Ino, his victory fresh and the cheers still echoing in his ears, a sense of dissatisfaction lingered within him. He showed too much talent, which wasn't a good thing. His initial plan was to show only a little even if it meant losing, but when Shisui forced them to a corner by turning this into a demonstration of the village's power, he had no choice but to do his best. Although there were still some abilities he kept hidden, he wasn't happy with how things unfolded.

'At least the village will invest in me more now,' he thought pragmatically, a slight frown marring his usually impassive face. This wasn't an empty thought, it was due to a system notification flaring in front of him, interrupting his line of thought.

This was a significant step in his intricate game of power and survival.

He was yet to complete the first two quests of the Path of Shisui, but now the third Quest was completed. Before Horyu could think further, another system message flared in front of him.

Horyu looked at the notification and sighed. The second quest of the Path of Independence of World Quest also was completed. He looked at the reward and read the details of the emblem.

Ino, who had joined them for the celebration, spoke up with her usual enthusiasm. "You know, Horyu, after today, everyone's going to be talking about you. You've really put the Uchiha name in the spotlight."

Horyu, slicing through a piece of meat, replied nonchalantly, "Let them talk. I'm just doing what needs to be done."

Hinata, picking up on Horyu's tone, quickly changed the subject. "The exams showed us how much more we need to grow. I've been thinking about new training methods."

Shino, intrigued, leaned in. "That's a good point. Adapting our training to our evolving skills is crucial. Our peers have amazing abilities. We cannot slack."
