7 Chapter 7
This was starting to get interesting I found a secret elevator in a 5-star apartment building. The elevator went down and stopped. The door opened and the floor I arrived at was dark. I pulled out my gun and torch."This is a bad idea but I'm curious" I used my senses to check if there was anyone down here but this place was empty. I moved forward keeping my pistol in one hand and torch in the other. I walked I found a door that would open by security code and hand scan but the hand scan was shut down only a passcode was required to open this door I used the same method and opened the door.
"Well Niam, should you be walking in a secret strange place that might be filled with traps"
I was getting scared cause danger must be lurking around in there something that even my senses can't pick up. I pulled out a coin from my pocket
" Heads I go in, Tails I go back".
I tossed my coin and came up heads.
"Well my luck isn't so bad"
I walked in I looked around and there was glass everywhere around me I looked in there were computers, papers, and lab equipment. I kept walking forward and encountered a steel door which automatically opened and the lights turned on.
"What the ?" I walked into the room. The room had a big computer a mainframe.
It turned on "System activated" the rest of the computers turned on. A faceless person appeared on the screen.
"Hello," said the computer in the young boy's voice
I was startled"Don't be afraid" he said in a consoling way.
"I wasn't afraid just surprised. What are u?Artificial intelligence created by some big tech corp."I spoke in an angry tone.
"Yes indeed" he answered my question.
"Well that's pretty obvious, say what is this facility? and who owns this place?"I calmed down and asked him gently.
"This facility is under the ownership of Sky corporation and they opened this facility under the Silver luxury apartment building where sky corp is responsible for developing drugs and high powered equipment for the military defense forces around the world"
"What kind of equipment?"I said as I was starting to get interested
"Gadgets, bulletproof suits which can stand the harshest conditions, Grapple hooks, high-quality blades and other such also development high functioning machines that can fight against illnesses."
"Amazing! so who do u work for now?"
"No one this place was shut down about a month ago"
"Are those types of equipment still here?"
"Yes!the people who were working here left in a hurry and shut down this place"
"Well then if you don't have anyone you work for then reboot and work for me from now on"
"Understood! reboot will now begin in 5 seconds, and complete in 3 hours".
The system started to reboot so until then I started looking into what they had in store. But I was blocked cause it required a passcode so I had to wait for the system to reboot. I pulled out my phone set my alarm and took a nap.
I woke up from my alarm and pulled out a thermos and pour myself a cup of tea. I drank and waited for the system to complete its reboot.
"Reboot completed, you can now be in control of this facility just enter your name and code"
"okay"
I entered my name and code.
"You now have ownership over this facility"
"Sweet! say what are you called anyways"
"I am named AI-12 by my creators"
"Well! then now from on I'll call you V".
Why V ? cause V is the code name of V for vendetta and stage name for Kim Taehyung from BTS.
"And you may call me Niam Walker".
"Okay Mr.Walker, please insert this chip into your communication device so that I may guide u around this facility"A chip popped out, I took it and insert it into my phone.
"Now V, guide me to that place where u have your gadgets stored"
V guided me to that room where I can find their equipment. I entered a room filled with huge drawers, metal containers, and a big table."Now let see what Sky corp has in store for me"
I opened one of the drawers and found a suit."whoa cool!"
V explained"That's an Advanced survival suit developed by the Sky Corp's Research and Development program based on advanced infantry armory system containing 2 layers of protection first layer of armor is an undersuit with built-in temperature regulators designed to keep the wearer at a comfortable temperature in any condition and the second layer of armor consists features of kevlar bi-weave that can stop slashing weapons and can also stop bullet short of a straight shot impact and reinforced joints that allow maximum flexibility and mobility. This suit was built especially for the black ops unit around the world costing 200000$."
"Sweet" I looked at the suit's stats it was an A-ranked suit of Defence at 85 and Durability at 80. There were at least 20 inside the drawers. I opened the container I found some belts and small metal containers made out of metal-colored in black.
"Hey V! what do these do?" I asked while putting on the belt.
"That's called the utility belt. It is a modified climbing harness, with magnetized impact-resistant pouches and canisters attached to the belt at ergonomic for ease of reach."
"Whoa so basically it's a Batman belt" I muttered.
I opened another container. It contained guns"Finally some firepower"
"Those are not firearm Mr.Walker, those are gas-powered grapple guns."
"Say what"
"A climbing tool which can be used to rappel up or scale down several stories and also swing btw high places. It can even be used to incapacitate, restrain or ensnare enemies. Designed as compact climbing gear for commando units."
"Oh my god! this so cool" this will make things easier while trying to get away from the undead when they're chasing you. I opened another container and found some gauntlets.
"Those gauntlets are made of hardened kevlar plates of titanium dipped tri weave fibers also containing a loop ring switch to activate a blade made of titanium pointed steel. In order to activate the switch put the ring on extending the finger alongside a little flicking of the wrist which would allow to activate the mechanism and unleashed the blade"
I put it on and tried it. A blade popped out "Whoa! so this is basically a hidden blade"
"The blade can also be removed and attached on simply the wrist or a bracer"
I opened the last container" Whoa what are these?"There were a great number of small metal balls inside it.
"Those are explosives, flash and fire grenades, firecrackers, and smoke bombs. All labeled in color green are the explosives, red are the fire grenades, blue are the flash grenades, orange are the firecrackers, and silver are the smoke bombs"
"This day keeps getting better and better"
I can't believe it I got such high leveled equipment that relates to batman. But I had a feeling that how did things become so easy. Like when I was trying to get into this facility all the biometric scanners were shut down and the system allowed me to become its commander. I had a feeling that someone was helping me lead to this place. But I got that out of my mind cause zombie hunting and supply collecting will get more interesting.
