1 Dead and alive

I died, simple as that.

I have lived an average life. Orphan, average grades, average looks, average physique, average life. It was good but average. Life was boring, and because of that, I put myself in fantasy worlds through novels, manga, and anime.

But today, something unexpected happened. I saved a person from a car coming his way, but due to that I died, trading his life for mine.

'I am weirdly calm about the fact that I died.' I think to myself.

"It is not strange at all, this place was created for mortals to calm down after their deaths." said the voice, full of authority and power, behind me. Suddenly I turn to him, and connecting the dots I ask him "You are sending me either heaven or hell?"

"No, I am not child. You do not have enough karma to go to heaven, and you do not have enough negative karma to go to hell. Your only option is to reincarnate...but with a twist." he finishes and looks? at me waiting for an answer. "What will happen?" I asked with a hint of worry.

"You shall be reborn in a world that will be decided after you accept. Later you will be given 5 powers/skills/items/talents randomly. If you do not accept, you will reincarnate, but without your memories, powers, etc... Will you accept?" He asks me.

"What is the price for these powers?" I ask, there is no way in hell that it will be free. Hearing my question the being chuckles? and answers "There is no price, live an interesting life for me to look at. I am a deity that has unlimited powers and authority, what can someone like you give me? Now answer me, what do you choose?"

"...I would like to choose reincarnation with my memories intact and powers." I answer him. (A/N: I bet you didn't see that coming.)

"Very well, let us start." and suddenly 9 wheels appear before me.

Suddenly one of them spins, and I see millions of world names that I have read, heard, and thought about. It stops on the world called "Naruto".

"It seems you got an interesting one... Now for your place of birth, time, parenthood."

A couple of minutes later, all of the wheels stop, and this is the result:

Before I could express my disappointment 5 wheels start spinning...and stop on :

Their hypermobile joints, muscles, tendons, and physiology, in general, allow the user to perform near-boneless looking contortions without stress or damage and comfortably stay in any position they choose as long they need without effort or strain. User Also has active control not only over their body but also over the energy that is within them.

Uzumaki: Even though you are not an Uzumaki, you have their massive chakra, long life span, talent in Fūinjutsu

"Oh..my fucking god." I say to myself...'I was ready to get a toothpick...but this is super good, the Uzumaki perk is already op af, I also have some random ass dojutsu and a super good physique. The system is self-explanatory...And the combat suit looks sick.'

I was happy. I was ready to get some dodo items, but this is perfect.

"I see that you are happy. Since I feel generous I will let you awaken your powers and memories when you are 12 years old, I don't think you want to experience the life of a baby. Good luck!" The being says and sends me off who knows where.

A child no older than 12 woke up screaming in pain in the early morning. Memories of a man meeting a god, getting powers, and getting reborn appeared to him. a couple of minutes later he let out a pained sigh that didn't last long, as after the memories settled in, his body started changing.

Chakra forcibly entered his body, joints and muscles changed altogether, his mind got wider, and his muscles got a little bit harder due to the Uzumaki physique.

Once again after a couple of minutes, what seemed to be hours, the pain stops, and the boy opened his eyes revealing two golden iris. Controlling his breath he sat down and leaned against the wall. Before he could do or say anything a white screen with black letters appeared before him.

My name is Ren Fukumoto. My parents both died in a nine tails attack when I was about 3 years old. My dad was a ninja of Konoha and I always respected him for that, which drew me to become a ninja. After their death, I lived in the orphanage, but at 8 with money that my parents left me and a monthly allowance from the village, I lived on my own. I was in the top 3 of my class, but yesterday my team failed the jonin test.

Our challenge was to land one hit at our supposed-to-be-sensei, but both of my teammates gave up after 30 minutes. And I sadly, couldn't hit him not once. That is how we failed.

They both took 1 plus year at the academy, while I joined the genin corps. They say that it is impossible to get promoted from there, but I promised myself that I will become a jonin no matter what.
