The Perspective of an Outsider

Ashara Dayne was very surprised by everything she has seen since boarding the ship of the Di Natale family. Victor was very approachable, and his guardians seemed more like comrades to him than subordinates. She was not sure if what she perceived was the truth or an act by the young genius to manipulate her. But when she saw the grand welcome on his return she was really convinced. Thousands of people were waiting at the port for the return of the young heir of their family. She couldn't understand the reason why they were all so happy and relieved. As this was the first time that Victor left the island of Lys everyone in the family was deeply concerned. The nervous mood of every family member spread around the town of Canahs to even the nobles of Lys. Everyone felt like the Di Natale family went eerily quiet, like a state of war.

When Victor finally returned everybody felt relieved and their depressed mood finally shifted. This quick change in mood turned to an overwhelming desire for a party, which turned Victor's arrival into a huge happy event. When he walked down the guard way of the ship his two little sisters were already flying towards him. Giulia just hugged him for a while, but Diane was crying, and Victor couldn't find a way to make her stop. The two little girls have never been separated by Victor for more than a day or two and were very reliant on their big brother.

Amando and Isabella were very relieved and happy when they saw the close relationship of their children. Isabella could have never imagined her family to grow such a close bond, as she has also been a child of a noble family. She was used to a completely different environment, where you had to take care of your words and the relationship between the family members was very strange. You had to be wary of what you say and protect your interests. There have been fights and deceptions between family members and she was honestly never feeling happy in her paternal home. Due to Victor the Di Natale family developed a completely different environment than the normal noble family. Victor put the interest of his little sisters even above his own, as he always left the best things for his siblings. In a feudal world where men are ranked far above woman and the heir of the family is regarded as most important this was practically unheard of. Victor already told them to not take care of any arranged marriages for his sisters. He wanted them to pursue a free and happy life, even if they wanted to marry, he would never agree to any wedding before they reached the age of 20. This nearly led to a fight with his grandparents as this would practically make them "left-over" women. But Victor insisted on this opinion and even threatened to use force to insist on this opinion. This was the only time she had seen her son argue with his elders over the last 9 years of his life and it was to guarantee the interests of his sisters, which touched the motherly heart of Isabella a lot. After a few minutes she went up and helped her son to take care of the two little girls. Even after being in the arms of her mother, Diane couldn't stop sobbing for a while.

Ashara Dayne witnessed the whole process. From being welcomed by all the residents of Canahs to the relationship with his family, especially his little sister, this was something you couldn't fake. This was the first time in her life she was curious about another person. Even her big brother wasn't respected and loved to such a degree by the Dayne family. After taking care of the children and handing them over to the servants to take them back home, Isabella started to notice the beautiful girl behind her son. When she noticed the curiosity in her eyes, she could already imagine what would happen. Her son had never taken any woman back home yet and now after leaving Canahs for the first time he took a beautiful young girl with purple hair and eyes back home. As a mother she was deeply curious about this woman.

"Victor, do you mind introducing our guest?"

Victor, who was a little overwhelmed by the whole situation, didn't even know who she was talking about, until he followed her eyes and met with Ashara's eyes.

"I'm sorry mother, let me introduce you to Ashara Dayne, the younger sister of the kingsguard Arthur Dayne. A lot happened in Dorne which we will be talking about later. Ashara will stay with us for the next period. She has a very profound knowledge about the etiquette of Westeros and would be a great teacher for Giulia and Diane. I hope you will take care of her."

Isabella of course agreed happy with her son and took the hand of Ashara intimately and started to introduce her to her surroundings. Victor took his attention away from them and started to report to his father and the important guardians of the family.

Slowly the whole team started moving towards the residence of the Di Natale family. Victor was honestly exhausted from the long journey and just wanted to rest for a few hours, but his little sisters didn't want to separate any longer. The result was all three siblings taking a short nap together. A few hours later a large banquet was planned with the immediate family and the close guardians. Even Attilius Di Natale with his wife and son would participate.

Meanwhile Isabella was taking care of Ashara and introduced her to the estate. She took her to take a bath and gave her a few sets of new clothes. Ashara Dayne was extremely surprised by all kinds of various luxury accessories. She had never seen so much luxury in her life before, as most noble families of Dorne were not wealthy. Bathing in crystal clear water and being surrounded by beautiful maids and the most famous perfumes and jewelry of the Known World was something the little girl had never experienced.
