16 Chapter 16: The Iron Bank

Arriving in Braavos was more thrilling this time than the last time Will arrived here. For one thing, his arrival seemed to garner the attention of everyone, even those who were walking along the streets near the Purple Harbor.

"Hey, why does it seem like everyone is staring at us?" Drox asked, looking all around at the people around them.

Will couldn't be sure, but he figured word had spread to Braavos about his escapades in the Stepstones, and people were most likely making the connection with the big ass flaming bird on his sails. It was only natural that people would take notice of how awesome he was.

After all, it wasn't everyday a child sailed the sea and took over an area known for its pirates, while also using a never before heard of magic to make the ships he stole disappear.

"I couldn't say." Will answered, choosing to brush away the situation. Even if they did make the connection that it was him, what could they do to him?

Even if by some miracle he couldn't take out everyone here, he sure as hell could get away from them, but the odds of something like that happening were quite low.

Anyone he had ever come across in the Stepstones would sure as hell never want to try and face him again, and their fear would surely reach those around here. There was also the fact that the Iron Bank wasn't stupid, and to start something with a being who could conquer the Stepstones single handedly was plain suicideal, especially so in their own city.

When he finally stopped the ship, Will was surprised to see a man dressed in silk fineries waiting for him with 15 fully equipped guards at his back.

The well dressed man stared at Will appraisingly, while he in turn did the same. Looking at the man, Will realized the man had already caught on that he was in fact who they suspected he was, and that there was no point in lying about it.

'What a smartass!' Will thought, wondering who it was that pointed him out, or at the least gave that good of a description of him. The sails of his ship were one thing, but this guy didn't even bat an eye towards Drox, which mean someone had given this guy his description.

'There must have been quite a number of descriptions about me for this guy to single me out like that!' Will thought, already giving up the idea about trying to bullshit his way out of this mess.

Deciding to not prolong the inevitable, Will spoke, "I must commend the Iron Bank on it's intelligence gathering! I didn't think I would be found out the moment of my arrival!" If those were really his thoughts, he should have at least changed the sails of his ship, or got on a different ship entirely. With the phoenix out for everyone to see, it was the same as him shouting, 'I'm right here!'

The well dressed man simply smiled at Will's words, then pointed towards Will's hand. "Everything about you was given to us, including the tiniest detail. If you wished to conceal yourself, you should have removed your ring with your house sigil, William Castian!" The well dressed man said, and Will couldn't help but let out a sigh.

'Makes a bit of sense. Plus it was really only a 50/50 gamble between me a Drox. If they hadn't made the connection, it would have been quite sad.' Will thought as he made a plank appear from mid air so he could disembark.

He led Trojan behind him, while Drox walked with Shade. His own horse had been given to someone before they left from Hardhome, as Will didn't want to deal with more animals than necessary while out at sea.

Even keeping Drox himself was already asking a bit much of Will, but he figured it wouldn't be too much trouble. He was right for the most part, aside from having to talk to Drox a few times a day to satiate the boy's need for opening his mouth.

Once they were all off the ship, Will made it disappear back into his Inventory, shocking a number of people.

"I must say, though it was rumored you could perform miracles, many people had their doubts. I'm pleased I can put my own mind at ease." The well dressed man said, and Will could only sigh in annoyance.

Too many people had probably already told the same story enough times, that if they didn't know about his ability by now, the Iron Bank would have been doomed.

For how calm the well dressed man was, Will figured the man did in fact, not doubt his ability, and was simply waiting for him to use it.

"Please follow me." The well dressed man said, then turned and began walking away without a second thought.

'Oh goody! A pompous windbag who might get robbed soon. Or killed.' Will thought dryly as he began to follow along with Drox by his side.

"Don't let Shade wander off. These people will kill her without a second thought." Will advised, getting a nod from the young Warg.

"What did you do to get so famous?!" Drox asked curiously as his eyes darted around them, noticing the people who either gawked in awe or straight up ran into their homes.

"I might have conquered the Stepstones on my way to Myr from Dorne." Will answered casually, but it seemed to leave the young man speechless as he froze in his tracks.

Will didn't bother to explain himself as he continued on, wondering if he would be murdering everyone in the Iron Bank today.

His original plan was to rob them and let them continue as they were, but if they tried to control or kill him, he would most likely torture and kill every single one of them to the last man, then he would take every single thing they owned, down to the foundation of their homes.

It wasn't long before Drox caught back up with Will, but neither spoke a word as they moved through the streets towards a massive building that was beautifully crafted.

Everything about the place screamed wealth, and the guards surrounding it screamed death to anyone who would dare to try and rob them. The place looked so good, Will had to stop to do a quick rough drawing of it.

By no means did the drawing do the place any justice, but he gathered what he needed to be able to recreate some of the things that had caught his eye at a later date.

It was only after he was done that he continued on his way up some stairs, still leading Trojan along behind him. When he got to the door, the guards tried to stop him from taking Trojan any further.

"I will bring my horse with me, or this is as far as I go." He spoke calmly with a blank stare, but the well dressed man leading him could tell that he wasn't kidding around with his words.

The man signaled for the guards to stand down, and Will continued on inside the building with Trojan only a step behind him. Drox and Shade entered as well, but they didn't get questioned at all. Most likely no one wanted to try and test Will any further.

Inside the building, everything was immaculate. The marble floors practically sparkled, and it didn't look as though a single thing was out of place. The decorations around the room weren't there for the looks, but to signify the wealth this place had, and by the looks of things, they were loaded!

It wasn't long before they were led into a large room with a fancy looking table with five finely crafted chairs behind it, while in front of the table there were two stone benches. To the rear of the chairs, there was a large door, and Will somewhat connected this with the room he saw in the series when Stannis came to borrow gold.

However the room was far better decorated than depicted in the show, and there were five chairs instead of the three Will remembered. The show of wealth didn't really matter to him, as he could create most of it fairly easily.

However the stone benches that were obviously for him were a no go, but he could deal with that when the time came.

"Please wait here, and I'll go get the advisors." The well dressed man said, giving Will his signature smile as he turned to walk towards the great big doors.

"You have 2 minutes to return before I leave. Keep me waiting... and the bank won't be able to afford the price." Will spoke, stopping the man in his tracks as he stared at Will intently for a few seconds.

"1 minute and 50 seconds." Will stated, causing the man to turn quickly before going through the large doors. Will watched the man go, then turned to look at the 15 guards standing to the side of the room.

They all had their eyes trained on Will, and he could see they were all tensed with their hands only inches away from their weapons. It wouldn't matter if they could get to their weapons, Will already had 17 different counter measures to deal with all of them before they could actually do anything to him.

Turning his attention back to the room in general, Will admired a few things here and there, while at the same time keeping track of the time that had passed since he started the timer.

When it got to where there was only 30 seconds left, Will walked over to the table and stored it away in his inventory, as well as all 5 of the chairs.

The guards made to move towards him, but Will made a small gesture before water outside the place burst in through the windows and confined the guards in spheres, at which point Will froze them all in place. Inside the spheres, their arms were restrained and an icicle was placed in their mouths to prevent screaming.

"Move a muscle or make a sound, and I'll puncture your skulls." Will said as the ice around them liquified and moved back outside, only this time it was in clear view of the guards.

Just like he expected, none of them moved from their positions, not even as he moved about the room and took some of the things he thought were cool. By now the two minutes was long over, and Will couldn't help the sigh that escaped his lips.

"How unfortunate. These plays of power only work when you're more powerful than the one you're trying to intimidate! It's quite a shame we couldn't work out an agreement between us." Will said to the guards who were still scared stiff.

"When they come out, do tell them what happened. Also, be sure to tell them I expect recompense for trying to waste my time! Also this stuff doesn't count!" Will added again, this time getting slow nods from the scared men, thinking they might be killed if they didn't agree to do as Will instructed.

"Good! I'm glad we see things the same way! Have a pleasant day!" Will said as he turned and began walking out the way he came in, although Trojan made sure to leave behind a pile of shit big enough to require a wheelbarrow.

Just before he walked through the door, he stopped and turned to the guards. "I'm sure they're busy, so do wait until they come out before informing them of my leave."

He didn't need to make sure they would do as he said, after all what he had done to them was inhuman, and was most likely the work of the gods themselves.

Leaving the building, Will made sure to take all the things he could that would be hard to come by down the road. Statues, paintings, armor, tables, chairs, doors, firewood, he even took the main doors to the building's entrance, then continued on his way as if nothing happened.

The guards outside all had their backs turned, and thankfully none of them realized what he had done. He rode down the steps like it was the most common thing in the world, with Drox and a giant cat by his side.

It was a scene that would be embedded into the memories of those watching for the remainder of their lives, however short they may be. Will didn't really care about the people around him, instead he let his attention wander to where they would be staying for the night.

"See an Inn or tavern around?" Will asked, still looking around, not bothering to look at Drox, whose mind was elsewhere. When he didn't get a reply, Will finally turned his attention to the boy, and couldn't help but smirk at him.

Drox was obviously wondering more about Will, and how he could do all of the things he could do. The water demon thing when they fought the slavers, turning the Free Folk into docile kittens, slaying the undead, taking over the Stepstones, and now going against the Iron Bank, all as if it was just another day.

"If you're not going to help find a place to stay, you can sleep outside." Will said, breaking Drox out of his little moment. He already knew Will was a monster, though he didn't realize he was quite this greedy, but this was just another thing to keep in mind.

As for making him stay outside, Will was a man of his word, if he said Drox would be staying outside, he would no doubt be sleeping in some dark alley for the night.

"Sorry bout that! Got lost in thinking about what happened back there. Keep forgetting how insanely powerful you are!" Drox said, and Will couldn't help how the corner of his mouth twitched upward.

The hero worship of children was cute and hilarious, and even Will was not immune to it. Despite how young or naïve Drox was, Will didn't feel some ridiculous need to watch over him every second of the day.

If Drox was to tell Will he was setting out on his own right this second, Will would probably give him a pat on the back, a small bundle of food, and maybe a coin or two, but there would be no tears, no heartfelt goodbye, and no longing to see him.

That was basically the end goal anyway. Will would train him to be able to survive on his own out in the world, and if he made something of himself, great, if he somehow got killed off in a few days, well it just wasn't meant to be.

For now, Will would have Drox's back, and he had no doubt the boy would at least try to have his own. If not out of loyalty, then at least out of self preservation.

With the both of them now keeping their eyes out for a place to stay, they covered more ground, but it still took awhile to find an inn that would accommodate a horse, which was understandable considering the city was mostly canals and water-ways, so horses weren't used very much here.

The Inn was on one of the smaller islands near the mainland, and thankfully there weren't too many people that made the connection about him being the one to conquer the Stepstones. Not having a ship with his house sigil would go a long way to keep himself from being known.

"Do you think the people from the Iron Bank are going to come looking for us?" Drox asked quietly from his bed, only a few feet away from Will.

"I would be insulted if they didn't! My guess is their little dark cult will come to try and take my head soon, but I'll be waiting for them." Will answered, his thoughts now on the Faceless men.

The only things he knew about Braavos before actually arriving here, were that the Iron Bank was based out of Braavos, and in the future, Arya would come and be trained to become a Faceless man, a group of assassins who worshiped the Many Faced God, or God of Death, however you prefer it.

Written down in his book was also the fact that some guy would teach Arya swordsmanship who was from here, but for the life of him, Will couldn't remember the guy's name.

The hours of the night passed on by rather slowly, but peacefully. At least until Will's eyes snapped open, his gaze flickering to the window of the room.

It was there his eyes met those of another, a man staring at him with intrigue.

'I thought these fuckers didn't show emotion?' Will thought as he swung his legs out of bed and began to make his way towards the window.

"If the Iron Bank sent you, whatever they're paying you, I can guarantee that it wasn't enough." Will stated assuredly as he took a seat on a chair that appeared out of nowhere.

"A man did not come here to kill, for man cannot kill what does not exist." The faceless man spoke in the way only they did. Will was interested in what the man said, and his mind went to a time where he wasn't alive.

God told him that he couldn't sense or see him the normal way, and that he basically had to watch him from a screen to see what he was doing. If the being that created this world and the gods in it couldn't see him, the Death god or whatever the fuck his name was, sure as hell couldn't see him either.

It was strange how the Gods spoke to their faith, and Will was curious how the Faceless man knew the dead God or whatever he was, couldn't see him.

"What did your God tell you about me?" Will asked, causing the man in the window to tilt his head to the side, like he was trying to analyze him from a different angle.

"A man is curious, for a boy does not seem surprised." The Faceless man said, clearly avoiding Will's question.

Deciding he probably wouldn't get a straight answer from the guy, Will's first thought was to just kill the guy and be done with it, but then he decided not to. Rather, the idea of fucking with the people of this world sounded so much more fun.

Trying to speak in a way that this guy might understand, Will spoke, "A man cannot exist if he was never born into this world, yet here I stand. Gods hold sway over man, yet they hold no sway over me! Death awaits all life, yet his eyes cannot find me, for I am not his to take."

Will watched as the Faceless man's eyes went wide as he pieced his words together, then bowed his head. "A man understands. A man will go." The guy said, but before he could take his leave, Will grabbed his arm.

"Before you go, understand this. Death does not see me, yet I am his greatest weapon. Should his pawns try to come after me or those I care about, Death will fall upon his blade!" Will said, pausing as he let go of the man's arm and raised his own hand with his ring into the air before adding, "They wear this crest either as a ring on their finger, or as a mark upon their right shoulder."

The Faceless man remained still for a moment, then nodded his head. "A man understands." He said, then left without another word. Will wasn't sure if that was actually the last he would see of these people, but if he had to end their little cult, he would do so without a second thought.

Turning away from the window, Will looked to Drox, who looked as though was sleeping soundly, but there were subtle hints which said otherwise.

His breathing was different, and his head was arched in a way to better listen in on what was happening near the window. Plus the small knife clenched in his hand might also have given it away, but that wasn't too important.

"Did you understand any of that?" Will asked, causing Drox to instantly get himself into a sitting position. "A little bit, but a lot of it sounded weird." Drox answered, putting the knife back under his pillow.

"Basically it went like this. They say their god can't see me, so they can't kill me. I told him I would kill all of those a part of their little organization if they went after people I cared about." Will said, then dropped down to the floor and began to do push ups.

It was too early to try and go back to sleep, so starting his workout now would be the better option.

"Isn't telling them about looking for your crest basically a way for them to find you? What if they decide to ignore you and attack those with your crest?" Drox asked, showing that he had indeed been paying attention, and that he understood a bit of it at least.

"If they're stupid enough to try and come after me, they deserve to die! But just in case, before we set out of Braavos, we'll pay them a visit." Will stated, smirking at the thought. After all, the deadliest assassins in the world get assassinated, that's just hilarious no matter how he looked at it.

------------

A few hours later, the sun was already high in the sky, and Will was walking through the streets with Drox at his side.

"Are you sure this is okay?" Drox asked, his eyes darting all around him. "You were the one that gave me the idea!" Will shot back, causing Drox to let out an exasperated sigh as he threw his arms into the air.

"Yeah, but I didn't think you'd do this!!" Drox shouted, already debating on keeping his big mouth shut in the future.

"Well I don't know where their base is, and no one around here seems like they want to tell us, so we go back to the ones who sent them to us in the first place!" Will said, a devious grin on his face.

Will had tried to find out where the Faceless men were, as it never actually showed directions on how to get there in the show. All he knew about it was that it was in some temple or another, and if you said the right phrase to someone they could take you there, but for the life of him, he couldn't remember what the hell the saying was.

Trying to ask for directions was also very unhelpful. Whenever he asked a person about the temple, they scurried away like he had just told them he was a walking plague and he was going to skull fuck them if they didn't run.

Without any other ideas, Will decided to make his way back to the Iron Bank. If they didn't want to tell him what he wanted to know, he could still rob them again, though this time he would take more than just decorations, trinkets, and furniture, you know, the original plan.

After a short time, Will was walking towards the steps of the massive beautiful building from the day before.

"They might be cunts, but they sure know how to make a grand building!" Will said, stopping to admire the place. Drox really didn't care about the architecture of the place, simply scratching Shade behind her ears.

Their approach didn't go unnoticed, and when they reached the stairs there was already a line of guards at the top near the building's entrance, which was still without it's door.

As well as the guards, there also appeared to be a group of finely dressed men, and the well dressed man who had brought them to this place from the Purple Harbor was also standing with the others as well.

Will smirked when he saw them run out to meet his arrival, wondering if they would try to attack him, or try and make up some lame excuse as to why they wasted his time the day before.

"Well isn't this something!! Had you given me this greeting yesterday instead of trying to waste my time, we wouldn't be in the situation now would we?!!" Will shouted, causing a few of the finely dressed people to mumble to one another, while the guards had their hands on their weapons.

Finally one of the well dressed men stepped forward and spoke, "Lord William, we apologize for our tardiness, but we were in a very important meeting. We hardly think it was cause enough for you to steal from us!"

There was a stare down between them for almost a minute before Will spoke, "Bring me a guard that was in the room with me yesterday!!"

There was some confusion, but eventually one man very reluctantly was brought forth, not of his own free will. "How long was it after I left before they came out of their room?" Will asked, staring the guard right square in the eyes.

"A-Almost t-t-two hours!" The guard stuttered out, clearly scared of Will. "I see. Now tell me, why would you have me escorted to your place of business the moment I arrived, then keep me waiting?!!" Will asked, this time making most everyone keep their mouths shut.

"I know it was a power move, so don't bother trying to play it off as a business meeting!! That only works when you have something I need or are more powerful than I am, yet there is nothing you have which I simply cannot just take from you, and you sure as hell can't take me in a fight!!" Will shouted, letting a hint of anger show on his face.

As if to prove his point, water from a canal nearest to him started to float into the air around his back, slowly separating into hundreds, then thousands of water spears before they solidified and turned to ice.

"Then you had the balls to send an assassin to kill me!!" Will roared, making a few people run into the building in fear of what he was going to do. All of the guards dropped their weapons and knelt to the ground, thinking the Gods were angry at them for almost drawing their weapons.

"L-Lord William!! P-Please calm down!! We can resolve this without violence!!" One of the men in silk robes shouted, trying to stop what could very well be the thing that led to his death.

Hearing this, Will paused for a moment as he let the ice spears hang in the air around him.

"I will hear you out, but I have conditions which must be met if you all are to continue breathing!" He spoke firmly, getting furious nods from everyone who was still remaining around them, even the guards. Will bet they would kill these rich fucks for him if he asked, so long as he let them live.

In no time at all, Will was seated in the same room he had been left to wait in the previous day, only it wasn't a normal meeting with the Iron Bank.

For instance, rather than be seated on tall finely crafted chairs overlooking someone on stone benches, each member of the bank was seated on the very stone benches they had forced others to sit on for years, while Will and Drox each sat on one of the chairs that used to belong to them.

"Before we begin, I want the location of the temple where the Faceless men reside. I forgot to give them additional information when they left my room last night!" Will said, making sure to glare at each man after he said it too, letting them know he wasn't going to forget about the assassin bit, at least not anytime soon.

Will was given a quick and accurate description about the temple of Black and White, it's location, and even the phrase associated with the cult of the Many-Faced God.

"Valar Morghulis", the High Valyrian for "All men must die".

The traditional response to this is "Valar Dohaeris", or "All men must serve."

Once that was done, Will got right to the point. "The only way you keep breathing is by forming a partnership with me, so to speak. I don't actually care what you do with the day to day running of this place, or even your profits and shady deals you make. However, any noteworthy information regarding myself will be sent to me, and you will do whatever you can to make sure those I employ go unhindered." Will spoke calmly, his eyes narrowed, with a smug grin on his face.

Before anyone could really question what the Iron Bank's responsibilities to Will would be, he waved his arm before explaining that very thing.

He made sure anyone associated with House Castian would be treated well, and not be hindered in any way. If Will was looking for resources, the Iron Bank would do it's best to acquire said resources for Will, at no extra charge for themselves.

Should he need information, they would use their spy network to find out whatever he needed to know. There were of course many other conditions, but eventually he ran out of things to ask for.

When it finally looked like he was done with his demands, the group of men gathered around each other to discuss things amongst themselves. After a short moment, they turned back to Will before one of them stepped forward.

"Lord William, we can agree to a few of your conditions, but some of them would be impossi-" That was as far as the man got before he was cut-off when Will abruptly stood up and made a quick hand gesture.

There was only silence for a few seconds before the man's body split in two. "What you idiots don't seem to understand is, these were not polite suggestions! You either follow my conditions, or I kill every single one of you!" Will growled out, his anger coming back into play.

All of the bank members looked terrified, not daring to utter a word. Seeing this, Will decided to add the incentive. After all, no horse would work as hard or as faithfully if they only got the stick. They had to get the carrot too, and people were no different.

"My demands are quite reasonable, considering everything you get out of it. Obviously, you get to keep breathing, which is a big win for you. However you also get the added benefit of being my allies. If you need people dealt with, I'm your guy. You want a town or city conquered quickly, you call for me! I don't take any contract to kill any of you. I don't hinder your businesses, and if I have something or can get something you need, you can have first pick over the other buyers."

Will paused to stare at each person before adding, "I'm not stupid enough to think you wouldn't try to secretly hire people to kill me if I forced you into basically being my slaves. I dislike slavery, but I'm not about to try and change the world to end it, though that doesn't mean I'll stupe so low as to become a slaver myself."

His words seemed to appease everyone, minus the dead guy. Hell, even without the benefits he provided it wasn't too bad of a deal. Most of his conditions revolved around information and not fucking with him, which was something none of these people would ever try to do again, most likely because it would be the last thing they ever did.

Will let everyone ask him questions for well over an hour, while he in turn got some information about a few important things going on. The biggest surprise came when he learned about Balon Greyjoy rebelling against Robert Baratheon.

A war was apparently happening at this very minute, but Will had been in the dark this whole time. It actually started a few weeks after he left Dorne, but things didn't really get big until Euron Greyjoy burned Tywin Lanister's fleet at Lannisport with a surprise attack.

He also learned about a few important families, but the information he clung to was mostly about Dorne. Word had spread about the new Lady Martell, and the rumor's about her likeness to Elia Martell was spreading wildly.

Thankfully everyone still believed she was killed during the battle of King's Landing, but that didn't mean people didn't suspect she might actually be Elia. There was no information about Rhaenys or Aegon, but that wasn't really all that surprising. After all, who would bother to collect information on two servants.

Will was actually proud of the Martell's when he learned they had gathered almost fifty servants, boys and girls, and started a program to educate them. This was no doubt a cover so they could spend time with Elia's children without looking suspicious, but to the rest of the world it just looked like Dorne was trying to do something to win the favor of its people.

In his quest to gather information, the two young Targaryen children, Viserys and Daenerys, were brought up by someone. Apparently their whereabouts were known to a good number of rich people of Braavos, as well as to a few of the Magisters of the Free Cities.

According to the officials of the Iron Bank, the last sighting of the two Targaryen's, they were being escorted from Braavos to the Free City of Pentos.

Will got a few details about the two children and filed it away for later. He wasn't particularly interested in either of them, but Elia did mention something about seeing them again, and if by some chance he managed to stumble upon them, he would try and bring them back with him to Dorne.

Though whether or not they arrived alive was another matter altogether. From what he remembered, Viserys was a complete cunt in the series, and if he was even half as much now, Will had no doubt he wouldn't be able to stop himself from killing the uppity bastard.

As for Daenerys, Will actually liked her character towards the beginning of the show, but in the later seasons he began to loathe her character. She was not a good ruler, and got to thinking that the world owed her something because of her last name.

She was still quite young, and if things worked out, he was hoping Elia or Rhaenys could knock some sense into her head.

The talk was all over the place, but eventually everyone seemed to be satisfied with the results. They would get to keep their lives, and make a powerful ally of sorts.

They didn't for an instance think they could get away with trying to cross Will, but based on what they had witnessed thus far, they were no match for the young lord. Plus the benefits highly outweighed the negatives, and so long as they didn't try to fuck with him, they would continue to prosper.

With everything settled, Will decided to take his leave. He still had a group of assassins to talk to, and he would like to get that sorted, sooner rather than later.

Of course, before he left he did agree to give back the main door to the building, but he kept everything else. Compensation of course, for them having tried to fuck with him.

"That went quite well, don't you think?" Will asked, a skip in his step as he and Drox moved throughout the streets of the city.

"Not quite what I expected, but I thought it went alright." Drox answered, making Will quirk an eyebrow at him. "What were you expecting?" Will asked, actually curious for once about what Drox had to say.

Drox seemed to be thinking over his words, but eventually answered, "Honestly, I thought we were going to go in there, and you would torture the information out of them before killing and robbing them. Not in that order, but the result would have been the same."

Will couldn't help but smile at Drox's thoughts, knowing there was in fact a very high chance of him doing just that.

"No, I didn't really need to rob them, I just wanted to. I'm already one of the richest people in the world, but it never hurts to have more. However the world needs the Iron Bank. If I had destroyed them, I very well believe the world would have been thrown into chaos, and millions would be dead within the year. This is not to say I wouldn't kill them in the future if they try to go against me, cause I'll let the whole goddamn world burn to the ground before I let someone walk over me again, but that doesn't mean I want everyone to die. I just care about myself more." Will explained, going into greater detail about how everyone in the world came to the Iron Bank for one thing or another, and how they were the only thing stopping some places from enacting slavery.

Will actually figured he could use the bank to end slavery in the other cities of Essos in the near future without actually having to conquer the places, but it would take time.

Still, it was better than sending armies in, killing off all of the soldiers, then moving on to another city, and just expecting them to operate smoothly and efficiently.

Another reason why the little dragon bitch wasn't a good ruler. After she left the cities, they probably went to hell and killed the shit out of each other.

Her army sure as hell wasn't big enough to be able to keep all of the cities under control, and simply moving them out of the cities after they were conquered didn't do a damn thing but kill off the people that kept the city running.

Granted, Will didn't care about all that political crap, but even he knew you couldn't run a city like that.

Will let his mind go from thought to thought for a while, but eventually he was brought back to reality when he and Drox arrived at the Temple of Black and White.

"Haha, I wonder if they have anything cool!" Will said, already rubbing his hands in the typical greedy villain style Drox had come to know.
