9 NO CHAPTER

Hello readers. I've been having the next chapter complete, but I realized I want to develop Brandon and what happened in Winterfell during the time jump a bit more. It's really hard for me to approach another perspective that isn't Ned's, but it's totally necessary. I don't want what I have planned for the future to feel forced; you'll find out what I mean.

Also, with Ned's journey, I need to create some equivalences in terms of taxes paid, how much a golden dragon equals in the cost of some things, and so on. What do you think? Do you want an auxiliary chapter discussing that, or should I have Brandon mention it as part of his education as Lord?

So,

Auxiliary

Or

Brandon

It's open until Saturday morning, and in the afternoon, I'll upload the chapter.

Now that you voted and came here for a chapter, I can offer you some stories.

Here's the Ned collection!

Goodswood Tablet:

"The old gods, please listen.

Today the dragons arrived, the whole north is in panic. My husband marched to the Neck with 40,000 men. Another 20,000 are in hiding all over the north. Lord Brandon, are you sure we can repel them? We know the terrain, we can kill at least one of their dragons.

Lady Stark welcomed all the residents of Wintertown into the castle. If our men lose, we will be the resistance. The north will not fall. But I can't help but think how much death would cost us if we face the dragons.

May the gods bless the Starks!"

...

Prayer note found alongside Gardener coins:

"We were exiled, stripped of our ancestral lands.

We wandered like a fallen house, nobody welcomed us. But not here. Here they welcomed us, gave us land and title.

Please, old gods, accept this offering. I swear that the prosperity of my house will be tied to you, and my descendants will pray to you.

May the gods bless the Starks!"
