Beginning of the Journey

289 AC

Winterfell

Jon Snow or Aegon Targaryen after his maniac declaration walked to his bed and felt flat upon it.

He was 6 years ago. 6 years had passed since Robert Baratheon's rebellion and he had killed his father and usurped the throne. 6 years had gone by since his mother, Lyanaa Stark had given him birth, handed over him to his uncle Ned Stark and died.

Though he was grateful for what uncle did to him what he was also resentful. Even after knowing that the whole rebellion was a build on a lie, he did nothing.

Even if he considers Ned' hatred for Targaryen as his father and brother were killed by Aerys Targaryen, then it also must be considered that almost entire Targaryen family was wiped out.

The way Elia Martell and her two children were butchered brutally and yet no justice was sought for them.

Worse still here in Winterfell, he was barely being treated better than a servant. Though Ned Stark showed no distaste for his 'bastard son,' his wife irk was always on him. And Ned Stark's only response was "enough Catelyn."

Currently it was the time period of the Greyjoy rebellion and Ned Stark was away on his war campaign.

In such a situation Catelyn Stark had become all powerful and thus Jon's life had turned into worse. He was being assigned tasks and jobs meant for servant.

For a 6 year old managing so much things was very difficult and little Jon could not understand why was he being punished.

Yesterday only he and Robb had insisted to Rodrik Cassel to teach them swordsmanship. Relenting the master at arms of Winterfell agreed. And Jon unaware of the consequences defeated Robb in their first bout. After all even in the original book and shows, Jon Snow was called the greatest swordsman of his generation.

This drew Catelyn's ire towards Jon and in fury she snatched away the wooden sword from his hand and threw it away and screamed at him about knowing his place.

Aggrieved Jon ran back to his room and cried to sleep. Probably it was at this moment Jon would have decided to never defeat Robb again in the originals.

Sighing Jon brought his thought back to the present. It was not long before Ned had left Winterfell for his war campaign and therefore it would at least take few months for him to return back.

Although Jon had manically made the declaration about ruling the world and he was determined to achieve it he needed proper planning and resources to obtain it.

Even though the gifts he had been granted with would help him, his path would still not be easy. He was not an immortal. He needed men, an army to fight for him.

Before he could proceed with any of his plans, he needed to master his gifts especially the power of his lineage.

The Targaryen lineage would provide him probably with some thing related to fire and dragon taming.

The stark lineage would probably provide him with powers of skinchanging and maybe something related to ice.

Winterfell

Jon Snow or Aegon Targaryen was now a boy of 12 years old. At 5 feet and 7 inch he was tall for any boy his face.

Jon had progressed manifold in the past 6 years and achieved a great mastery over his powers.

In these years his relation with the Starks had remained mostly the same as in originals.

Robb still viewed him a brother but definitely not very close. Theon's presence was an obstruction in their relation.

Sansa had already taken over, learning lady like manners and ignoring a bastard like him.

Arya as she was the most cheerful one and clinging to him at every possible moment, much to displeasure to her mother.

Bran was also connected to him a good way.

And Rickon Stark had just born yesterday.

The whole castle was drunk after the celebratory feast organised for the youngest born of Lord Stark and this was the moment Jon was going to sneak away from Winterfell.

Using the cover of darkness of the night Jon arrived at the least manned portion of walls of the Winterfell castle.

He was carrying a long rope along with him. With silent movement he tied the ropes to an iron embedded at the wall of the castle.

He then threw the remaining rope downwards and in another swift motion slid across the rope to the ground outside Winterfell.

Standing near the dropped rope was a white horse, which Jon had controlled in earlier to leave the castle of the Winterfell.

Quick on his feet, Jon jumped over the horse and without making any sound the horse sped away.

Jon snow was on his way to build his kingdom.
