Glossary

Hello, dear readers!

Before you dive into the story I've created, I'd like to welcome you and say that I hope you enjoy reading the story. Additionally, I'd also like to share some important information and notes to help you understand some things that will be quite different from the story created by George R. R. Martin.

FIRST: I'm writing this novel solely as a fan of the work, and therefore, it's crucial to highlight that this story is merely an expression of my admiration and love for the original work; all credits for the creation of the characters and the fictional world belong to George R. R. Martin and his team.

SECOND: In "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George R. R. Martin, we don't find specific details about the distances between places or the time required to travel them, whether by sea or land. In this context, I will take the liberty to establish the travel time for the protagonist I've created, as well as for the original characters of this world.

THIRD: I'd also like to emphasize that this novel is based on both the books and the television series. When the calendar reaches the year 298 (when Robert Baratheon names Ned Stark as Hand of the King), the narrative will mostly be based on the development of the books, which notably differs from the TV adaptation. For example, in the books, Sansa Stark was not violated by Ramsay Snow; in fact, it was Jeyne Poole who was violated, while pretending to be Arya Stark. This character was cut from the TV series, so some of you who only followed the TV series may find the introduction of certain characters strange.

FOURTH: The story unfolds 27 years before the beginning of the events that occur in the first book, "Game Of Thrones." Given the absence of detailed descriptions for the many characters of this time, creating new characters and descriptions becomes necessary. The choice to start the plot 27 years before the main events stems from the need for time to form an army, training in magic and swordsmanship, as well as the acquisition of dragons and time for the pacification of the lands conquered by Achilles, as well as time to train the army, and so on.

FIFTH: I believe it's also important to emphasize that, up to the present moment (16/03/2024), the Night King has not been introduced in the books, so I will use as a basis the Night King from the TV series. Furthermore, modifications have been made to the Night King and his army to make them a greater and more credible threat to the world's destruction. Unlike the series, I do not plan to portray him as foolish, dumb, and weak. My intention is to endow him with intelligence equivalent to that of an ordinary human being; however, he will not engage in dialogues or verbal interactions with other human characters.

SIXTH: In the books, there is a story dating back to a distant past, where the 'Children of the Forest' are credited with submerging the lands of the passage that connected Essos and Westeros to the sea. They say they accomplished this feat through a magic known as the 'Hammer of the Waters', resulting in the formation of the current Stepstones. Thus, I do not consider them weak in the mastery of magic. Therefore, I want to make it clear: I will portray the 'Children of the Forest' as extremely powerful beings in Elemental Magic and in the manipulation of nature around them; by the end of this story, only a few characters will be more powerful than them.

SEVENTH: Just as I increased the power of the Night King and the size of his army, I also increased the population of the cities of the 'Slaver's Bay', after all, it is that territory that will be the base of Achilles' army. Below is the number of surviving slaves and masters after Achilles conquers the cities.

MEEREEN [6,640,000 Slaves / 500,000 Masters]

YUNKAI [1,680,000 Slaves / 300,000 Masters]

ELYRIA [690,000 Slaves / 111,000 Masters]

TOLOS [540,000 Slaves / 153,000 Masters]

ASTAPOR [511,000 Slaves / 116,000 Masters]

[Total of Masters: 1,180,000]

[Total of Slaves: 10,061,000]

EIGHTH: I am using a map as a reference for the construction of the path my protagonist is traveling, so if you have any doubts about the location mentioned in the story, you can view the place on the map by clicking on the following link: (https://loremaps.azurewebsites.net/Maps/GoT)

NINTH: In the books: "A Song of Ice and Fire" by George R. R. Martin, magic is an intrinsic element to the fictional world of Westeros and Essos. Although magic is subtle at the beginning of the plot, it grows in importance as the narrative unfolds. However, there is no explicit representation of Blood Magic. Of course, there are mentions of Sacrifices, Rituals, I believe that the Shadow that Melisandre gives birth to is a type of Blood Magic, but there is no explicit demonstration of which words are used to conjure them, so I hope you don't mind if I create my own ways to use this branch of magic, however, I will follow the same principles presented in the books, to use Blood Magic a price in lives will be paid, whether those lives are of animals or even humans for more powerful magics.

TENTH: In the books, "Wargs/Skinchangers" usually enter only the bodies of larger animals, however, it has never been said that they cannot enter the minds of ants, spiders, mosquitoes, or other types of insects. So, I hope you won't be surprised when Achilles takes control of the minds of insects to achieve his goals.

ELEVENTH: I know that normally 'Passive Abilities' are those that are always functioning, while 'Active Abilities' need to be activated to work. However, this does not occur in this novel; I am using these terms only for lack of a better denomination. In general, here, in this novel, Achilles can activate the abilities or deactivate them whenever he wants. The term 'Passive Abilities' means that even when using the ability, Achilles' mana will not be spent. While the term 'Active Abilities' refers to the abilities that consume mana during their use. Some of Achilles' abilities have passive and active forms of use. Therefore, please pay close attention to the description of the abilities below so as not to be confused while reading the story.
