Landon Lorch

'What a boring day.' Ray thought as he looked out of the window.

It was one of those days, you know the sunny summer day where nothing happens, a day that seems to last forever while simultaneously everything disappears in a blur.

'I would go on a walk but the sun probably won't let me.' Ray thought as he laid on his bed.

The bed suddenly started to shake. It took him no longer than three seconds to figure out what's going on.

"Fucking earthquake." Ray closed his eyes once again. If he had any fear for the literal earth shaking beneath his feet, that was lost the twenty secondth time it happened.

Ray lived in Japan for the majority of his life, his father moved his family there after his new job in Nintendo.

Ray was glad he wouldn't have to deal with this anymore. Soon he would be moving to the states for his further education. He landed a seat in Yale.

Ray hated living in Japan, it was a good place to visit but a terrible place to live. The weather was stupidly hot, the customs literally designed to suck all the life out of you, and the people were super racist to foreigners.

Most people would be glad to be in Japan, only knowing about it from anime and shit. But living here, being bullied by people who thought they were hot shit and being the only one who got in trouble if he fought back, made him absolutely despise this place.

And did he mention the weather was horse shit.

And just like that, the earthquake disappeared as suddenly as it appeared.

"Huh?" He heard some screaming. Ray looked out of the window to see a huge wave coming towards the beach.

"FUCK!" Ray completely forgot that he and his father were visiting a friend who lived near the sea shore.

Ray tried to run to the roof where the waves wouldn't reach him. He succeeded. He watched the huge wave crashing against the shore.

The tsunami rushed through the coast and entered the city, soon crashing against the house Ray was on. His father and the owner of this house had gone on a shopping trip nearby so he was alone at home.

Ray breathed a sigh of relief but that didn't last long. *Boom* Ray heard an explosion near him. The whole house shook and then it fell. The house collapsed.

Ray fell from the roof to the waves tearing through the coast below him. Ray wanted to live. He tried to swim even in the tsunami of course it was futile but he didn't give up.

'I want to live.' Ray thought. 'I want to live, I want to live.. Live.'

It was only after a piece of debris broke his skull that Ray finally lost the strength of his limb. As he desperately tried to hold on to his breath he saw nothing but endless blue that was quickly getting redder with his own blood.

That was the last thing he saw…

Kevan Lannister looked at the burning city in front of it. 'Such a worthless loss of life.' He thought.

"Ser Kevan Lannister." He heard one of his knights say, "We have found someone."

Kevan looked at the boy. Long curly black hair, and sharp facial features, A bloody gash across his chest, his hair and clothes were wet, anyone in his position would have died yet there he was… still breathing.

"Get him to the maestar." He commanded.

*Gasp* Ray woke up. Coughing.

Looking around him Ray didn't see the endless blue sea. Instead it was a room he was unfamiliar with.

His memory was hazy; he didn't know what happened or what was happening. Ray felt a strange pain in his chest. Looking down he saw that his chest was covered in bandages.

"He's awake." Ray heard someone say. He looked to see a man with golden hair and emerald green eyes entering the camp beside an old man wearing chains that looked familiar.

Besides him there was also another man with brown hair and amber eyes. He was wearing plate armour with a weird symbol in its chest.

The old man with chains quickly did a quick check up on Ray though he was still more than slightly confused.

"Where am I?" Ray asked.

"Lannisport." The blond man replied, "Don't worry you're far from the port… well as far as you could be in this city." He said.

"Do you remember anything?" This time the brown haired man said.

Ray thought hard. His memory was hazy as if they belonged to two different people. He couldn't make sense of anything, especially not now. His head hurt more than his chest at this point.

"No." Ray said. "I don't know." He replied honestly.

"The boy has just faced a heavy trauma, it's better not to distress him like that." The old man with chains remarked.

"Apologies." The brown haired man apologised courteously.

Ray simply stared at the men before him. The old man was preparing some sort of soup. The blonde man and brown haired man seemed to be talking.

'Landon Lorch' That was his name. Ray remembered his name. 'But I'm Ray' he thought… no.. wait.. Landon grabbed his head as a seizure tore through him.

The old man quickly rushed to Landon, giving him a white milky substance which he quickly drank.

Although nothing happened at first, soon enough the pain lessened and Landon felt a strange sense of calm taking him. He closed his eyes as he attempted to make sense of his memories.
