1 Galladon Tarth (1)

It is now the year 294 AC and Westeros is in the middle of a long summer period that already lasted for five years. Twelve years ago, Robert Baratheon rebelled against the century old Targaryen dynasty because of love and hatred. Houses Stark, Tully, Arryn, and Baratheon joined forces in the rebellion against Aerys Targaryen.

After many bloody battles, in which Robert Baratheon himself killed the crown prince Rhaegar, the rebellion ultimately succeeded and a new ruler over the seven kingdoms was born.

In the first years of Robert Baratheon's reign Westeros was plagued by rebellions and robberies by old Targaryen forces, finally funneling into the largest rebellion of recent times led by the Iron Isles, in 289 AC.

Lord Balon Greyjoy led a rebellion against King Robert's reign, attempting to secede the Iron Islands from the rest of the realm. After several months of furious fighting in the Westerlands and Riverlands, King Robert's forces pushed the ironborn back to Pyke and storm the castle. Balon capitulated and surrendered his only surviving son, Theon, as hostage and ward for his good behavior. Robert instructs Eddard Stark to take Theon under his wing.

After many years of brutal fighting the population of Westeros reduced and the people were plagued by hunger and poverty, while the leading nobles behind Robert reaped the success they seemingly deserved. At least the long period of summer resulted in a good harvest in recent years, which slowly stabilized the situation in Westeros.

Eighteen years ago, in 276 AC, a young man by the name of Galladon Tarth was born into this world full of wars and intrigue. His destiny was to die eight years later, by drowning, leaving behind an uneventful legacy as the only male heir House Tarth of the Stormlands would have in the near future.

But by a twist of fate this destiny was reversed by the arrival of a soul that didn't belong to this magical world. A mature soul that had full knowledge over what would happen on this large and magical continent in the next forty years.

Sent into a familiar yet unfamiliar world without a clear goal, the first few years of Galladon Tarth were filled with difficulties. He had to adept to new social rules and a new family around him. In the first few years he was full of longing for his past life and the family he would never see again, while being trapped in a small body that was slowly growing.

Under the care of his young, beautiful, and peaceful mother, Erina Tarth, and the careful education of his father, Selwyn Tarth, he slowly integrated into this new world.

Fortunately, in his mysterious journey his soul didn't just transfer through different worlds, giving him the gift of knowledge over the next few decades, he even received a few magical abilities. His abilities were not overly powerful, yet extremely suitable for his environment and situation.

Galladon received four auras:

Aura of Wisdom: Slowly transform the intelligence and wisdom of humans or creatures.

Aura of Health: Slowly transform the health and resilience of humans or creatures.

Aura of Strength: Slowly transform the strength and endurance of humans or creatures.

Aura of Speed: Slowly transform the speed and reaction ability of humans or creatures.

It may seem like those auras would lead to Galladon Tarth becoming an invincible existence in the seven realms, but unfortunately, the increase those auras provided would take years to show a large difference and were restricted by his age. When he first was born into this world, the existence and function of those auras were imprinted into his mind, and he could freely choose a target to receive the impact of those auras, if they were relatively close to him all the time. But he could only impact one individual with any of those auras at the start. Galladon would later find out, that every year he could choose an additional target to receive the impact of his auras.

Right now, at 18 years of age, Galladon could simultaneously impact 18 humans or creatures with his auras at the same time. After receiving the impact of all four auras for a full 18 years, his physique showed remarkable advancements.

Receiving this magical ability not only improved his personal strength but also helped him evade the tragedy that would have befallen on House Tarth without the arrival of his soul.

Without his appearance and magical changes, not only would the only male heir of House Tarth die tragically by drowning, two of his younger sisters as well as his mother would die too. His sisters died in the cradle without him, while his mother died of illness and grief, after birthing four children in a medieval age and witnessing the death of three of them.

The magical ability of his aura completely evaded the tragic fate of House Tarth and established his role as the male heir of the family firmly. After building up a close and respectful relationship with his father and mother, he finally confessed them his ability 8 years ago, but chose not to reveal them his knowledge about the possible future, as to not cause large differences to the future he knew. Only a secret known to a single person could be kept a secret for a long time.

After receiving the explanation of their oldest child, both Selwyn and Erina Tarth were elated and breathed a sigh of relief. The mysterious changes around them and their son could finally be explained. Erina Tarth finally found the reason why her sickly body not deteriorated after birthing four children, but she felt better than ever before, apart from the fact that she could no longer become pregnant, after some problems with the birth of her two youngest twin daughters.

She expected to not be able to witness the life of her four children, which devastated her. But the magical ability of her son kept her alive and further strengthened her. Full of gratitude and a proud feeling she kept hugging her greatest achievement, embracing him tightly, with tears in her eyes.
