7 CHA6: Squire battel training.

( A mouth later )

[ Draco Pov ]

An entire mouth has passed just like that but that mouth was full of nothing but pain and headaches.

After all, it was a simple routine stand up fresh in the morning before the sun rises eat, drink, shut piss, and run off to the training grounds.

After doing nothing more than just a great amount of physical training, we can have the power and speed to use our weapons.

I even got the names of my fellow squires Yulan and Drake one comes from a knight family like me and the other comes from a blacksmithing family.

But coming home with a sore and pained body only for my mother to train me mentally I got better at reading people far from faster but slowly and painfully got there.

The things I have to go through for power but it will be worth it in the end.

( Normal pov )

3 squires were standing in front of their instructor and trainer who were looking at them while their hands crossed their chests with no emotions on their faces.

A minute passed as the squire stood there not saying a word waiting for the trainer to tell them what to do.

They were wearing training armor two of them had leather armor and leather hide helmets.

The other taller lad has a full set of heavy-training armor made of iron along with an iron helm guard with a full face plate as well.

The trainer Rickter spoke up to the young squires under him.

"Right listen up, We got something new for you lads to do." Rickter started explaining.

"We are gonna go to the center and group up with all the other squires for some sparing." He told the squires under him and they returned a nod for confirmation.

" Right then follow me and keep your weapons steady, so single marching line behind me." He ordered the squires.

[ Draco Pov ]

As we started following him in a single marching line I wondered to myself.

<Why are doing spars if we didn't even train in our weapons the entire time?>

<Maybe to see what we need be trained in or how the basic handling of our weapons is?>

I kept pondering on this as we walked to where a few different groups of squires and their trainers were, They stood in a circle around a sparing ring with their wooden sparing weapons.

And there stood Leon and he saw us walk up and Rickter went and stood with the other trainers as Leon turned to us and spoke in a strict tone.

"Go and grab practice weapons we will not spar with real steal right now." He demanded of us and we nodded in confirmation of his orders.

We walked up to a few weapons racks that had different types of practice weapons I put my iron maces to the side and gave a wooden kite shield and practice mace that has a wooden mace head covered in cloth to somewhat soften the blow.

I haven't trained in any form yet of the mace or how to fight with it except from what I know about the mace and its advantages as well s disadvantages so how am I going to fight you might wonder?

Well, I am gonna let my heavy armor and Kite shield block all his damage and counter-attack when I see an opening, and because I have no form defense is going to be my best solution and only read and attack my opponent in the spar whoever that might be.

I walked up next to the other squires waiting for instructions on what to do next and so we waited for the other squire groups to arrive, Some time passed as all the new squire groups arrived and got their practice weapons.

Leon stepped up and spoke to us and started explaining to us what would happen and how it would happen.

"Right simple I call your names you step up and you will spar with each other, and the rules go like this." He spoke in a very strict tone so that we can understand if we break these rules we will be kicked out.

"First no blows that are considered death blows, Second you stop when I say so, Third you not aloud out of the bonds of the ring, or you will be considered defeated and the winning conditions are either you knock out your opponent or if we see a deadly blow or putting your opponent out of bonds." He explained to us.

"Am I understood?" He asked in a very demanding tone and we all answered in unison.

"Understood Ser!" we all screamed out

"Right, let's get started come forth Draco Thorns and Fran Hardwood!" He called out and I realized I was up first what were the chances of that as I walked forward along Fran who had a practice longsword wearing leather armor and was only a few inches shorter than me I noticed one thing he didn't wear a helmet if that is telling me to bash his head I don't know what els.

It seems he had an agile build so his attacks will be fast and precise I am gonna let him waste his energy and when he gets tired I'll strike.

As we were standing face to face I heard a few squires from his group gossiping like some of the ladies, and from what I heard confirmed and told me a lot about him he is the best squire with a blade at the moment and he is very fast with it and when he attacks he does not stop overwhelming his foes but now he faces me and I will count on him from not stopping his attacks on me.

I raised my shield in front of me bucking my feet into the ground with my mace above my head in a defensive stance that I saw a knight do when he spared with another knight and it looked like a good shield stance.

Of course, it wasn't perfect but it's better than nothing I had a few gaps in my stance that I hoped my foe did not see it allowed me to deflect, embrace and counter strikes and the knight whose stance I copied was there looking at me with interest.

I stared at Fran he was in a stance where his feet were ready to charge telling me he would go on the attack and his practice longsword on his side indicating a side swing, But what told me I was going bash his face in was the smug look that's on it.

I guess not being defeated in any spar does that to someone and it reminded me to never get overconfident because that's what is gonna be his downfall in this spar.

Leon stepped up between us and after we both gave our nods indicating that we were ready to start he started to speak.

"Right' He lifted his hand in the air and it stood there as dead silence came over the sparring ring for a minute and then he dropped his hand screaming.

"Start!" and backed off to give us space in an instant Fran ran up to me swinging to my left at full speed and momentum with a smug face most likely thinking he already won the spar.

As his longsword went upwards to aim for my head and drew closer at the last moment I then ducked and used my shield to deflck his longsword upwards and pushed my shield against his gut lifting him and throwing him over my shoulders behind me.

The moment he landed I backed up getting back in my stance as he swang where I would have been if I continued the assault showing me he has a great some of experience in spars and stood up looking angry at what I did to him and some confusion if I am not mistakein.

He then charged at me again with a down-word slash with both of his hands having a steady grip on it and I just used my mace to deflect his downwards swing sideways and steeped aside letting him tumble under his momentum.

He rolled and then stood back up pointing his blade at me in anger he yet again charged at me but with fury, he got faster and constantly swang at me as I used my shield and mace to block and deflect his blows and I found out I am far stronger than him but he has speed on his side good thing my kite shield is large that allows me to block and parry his attacks with ease.

This went on for a few good minutes with my guard on high alert to deflect and parry as well as block his very angered attacks and he yelled in frustration at me.

"Just go down already you big useless oath of a brat!" he screamed at me slowly getting tired and not even realising I had to keep him from doing so to tire him out more so I spoke up in return and wanted him.

"What's wrong cant handle it ow so great swordsman or are you just a brat who has a carrot showfed so high up his ass," I told him with a chuckle and he didn't take kindly to that and continued to swing and stab.

More minutes passed as the spar continued but he got slower and breathing more heavily than usual in other words these were his last few swings and I was a bit tired but had more energy from using less movement and not breathing as heavily.

And when his blows got so weak and slow I struck when he went for a downward slash I side-stepped his blow as it hit the ground and hit him in the right shoulder with my mace and he winced at the hit backing off to gain distance.

But I backed up a bit and was about to do something either stupid or something that was about to give me an opening to end this.

I then ran forward jumping into the air with my shield affront and my mace on the side falling towards him, in surprise at my action he didn't move out of the way with allowed me to body slam him with my shield and weight into the ground knocking his breath out his lung and he spits and a bit of blood spotted out his mouth.

He then slowly stood up as I waited and when he fully stood I changed slamming into him buckling him under my shield as he bent forward I dropped my shied and grabbed his left shoulder with the hand that was holding onto the longsword.

Got a stronger hold on him lifted my mace into the air and used the underside of my mace handel to bash his face as a loud crack went through the training ground.

*CRACK*

I broke his nose and blood flew all over my hand and he dropped his longsword in pain and I shoved him back and he staggered a bit at that than I moved forward with my mace swing through the air and made contact with his right cheek to make him face to the side as blood, spit and a few teeth flew out his mouth at the blow.

He fell backwards onto his back and I stood above him with my mace in the air to be swang down on to his head as he looked up in fear at me but before I can bash is face in Leon called me to stop.

"Stop! the spar is over the winner is Draco Thorns." As I looked at him for a bit than looked back at Fran as he was laying on the ground moaning in pain and breathing heavily trying to get back his breath.
