31 Chapter 30

A/N: Hey guys what's up? I know a lot are complaining about the Moonshadow getting her into one his love interest without knowing her name. Hear me out, okay? Daddy chill!

First of all, Moonshadow was a famous courtesan in Braavos and her name was a secret to all (according to my research?). Moonshadow was her public name too and it was enough for any man to go to her invitation. Auron must've experience something extraordinary when he slept with her that's why he was unable to abandon her. Is it love? Maybe, but it's more of a guilt, responsibility and lust that drives him to keep her. Plus they need a permission from Daenerys who supposed to be his main wife so they have to figure that part out on how they can convince her. Besides, she had a role to play in the great scheme of things. Her whole being is a perfect fit for a position Auron currently lacks. Chill out my friends. The following events will become more exciting. At least for me.

Peace out!

----------------------------------------------------

When Auron left Braavos to resume his journey, his songs and tales became so well known that everyone in the Free cities knew about it. It even began to spread in Westeros without him knowing. The number of bards across the land increased hoping to follow his footsteps. They sing his songs and claimed him to be their patron. But the source of it all wasn't aware of his curriculum influence and is currently enjoying his new ship.

Meanwhile, The Shadow was finally released into the sea running rampant night and day sailing towards south with the destination set to Pentos.

At first, Aidana and her men was bewildered on how the ship keep on sailing without anyone to man them. When they asked Auron, they only received a cryptic reply from him.

"Do you really think, The tale of the Shadow is just a myth?"

Then they witnessed an incredible sight. Ropes came alive, the foremast and the helm turn whenever Auron speak their course.

They all shivered in fear but they quickly calm down since it was controlled by Auron. Their admiration towards him strike up a notch, enough to make them all respectful.

As for how Auron knew where to go, he simply followed the traditional way which is to sail by the coast line. He had large map in the captain's cabin so they won't lose their way.

Through their journey, they even encountered some pirates ships. But the strange thing was, they didn't get attacked. The pirates steered away from The Shadow not even bothering to check if the legend is true.

They must be scared shitless when they saw the legendary ship head through their way. These pirates must've been from the free cities since they knew the ship based on its description. They don't need to be literate and read the name of the ship on its sail in order to judge of the ship is danger or not. Just the looks of it was enough to steer them away.

Auron could only sighed helplessly as he wouldn't be able to hunt them and earn a large number of gold. He can pursue them but doing so would steered their course away from Pentos.

While Aidana and her men were resting in their own rooms. Auron finally have his time alone to check the rings he extracted from the faceless man.

He first wore the gold ring in his left hand. When the transfer of information came to a halt. He recognized the skill to be 'Perfect disguise'. No matter the type of body or height, he can perfectly replicate a person. Auron was confused becauss he knew that's not how the disguise of the faceless man works. As far as he remember, the faces they wear was from dead men. But then be remembered his magical rings, his magical ship and bottle so he shrugged it off and accepted the ridiculous logic. He told to himself, 'Why not'.

He fished out the silver ring and wore it next in which he learned the skill 'Sneak'. To more precise, it was a technique to minimize your presence.

After learning them, he kept the rings on his fingers. But then, an idea form inside his mind that will help him secure a foothold in the future.

It took five days of travel from Braavos to Pentos. When they arrived, it was already sunset. He let Aidana and her men disembark first so they can find an inn for them to stay. Then Auron controlled the ship to a more remote pier before getting out of the ship. Auron didn't bother mooring the ship at the docks. He just shouted 'Ahoy!' and the large ship disappeared without a trace. It's a good thing it was already dark so no one noticed it. Even if there's one, he would probably think he's drunk.

After checking his magic bottle with the ship inside it, he secured it in his pack.

He went inside the city and found Aidana and the rest inside an inn, being harassed by two sellswords.

Both of them looks like they are from Westeros, and one of them was holding Aidana's wrist tolo tightly, while the other was smirking.

He saw Aidana tried to resist but the guy said something that made her stop her guards.

"You're the Moonshadow aren't you? Hehehe! Looks like my luck has come. Why don't you come with us so we can both have some fun."

"Let go of me, sirs. I'm waiting for my husband."

"Come on girl, forget about him and have some fun with us. How much? Two golds? Ten? We can pay you. We have lots of gold."

Before the situation gets worst, Auron announced his presence by coughing.

"Ahem, I'm afraid she's not for sale. I would suggest getting off that hand of yours from her before you lose it."

The two sellswords finally noticed him.

"Well, well, well, if it isn't the Storyteller. Hehehe. Mind you fucking business!"

"Apparently, she's my fucking business. That's my woman you're holding right there. I'll count and if your hand is still holding her, I will cut that off. Five.... Four..... Three. "

The Windblown sellswords mockingly stared at Auron before he let of her hand.

"And if I don't?" The sellswords man pulled over his robed slightly so Auron can see his uniform underneath. It was the colors of Windblown and the man was trying to intimidate him.

However, Auron was unfazed as he continue to count.

"Two..."

Fortunately, his fellow Windblown companion held the man back. As much possible, they had to avoid causing trouble in this city.

In 262 AC, a man now known as the Tattered Prince, twenty-three years old at the time, was chosen by the magisters of Pentos to be their new ptince, shortly after the beheading of the previous one. Instead of accepting their offer, the Tattered Prince fled to the Disputed Lands, later forming the free company called the Windblown. So their company was somewhat not allowed to step foot in this place.

"Watch for yourself, lad. I'll keep an eye on you."

The man purposely bump into his shoulders when they pass by him but Auron evaded which made the man almost trip himself.

Aidana stifle a laugh as well as the surrounding people.

The man was about to draw his sword when Auron stopped him.

"Uh-uh-uh, I would not do that if I were you. The moment you draw your sword, your head will roll on the floor." Auron's aura changed as if he was predator eyeing his victim.

The windblown soldiers felt it and their eyes constricted.

The man finally let go the hilt of his sword but since a lot of people watching, he had to make it look like he was the tougher one.

"I hope you don't leave Pentos, because if you do, hehehehe.."

The man left with a threat but Auron took it as a fart. To avoid the trouble of them being bothered by those cutthroats, Auron and the rest had to stay in another inn.

It was already nightfall and they hungry. They went down to have their dinner provided by the inn keeper. As they were eating, Auron began to give out his instructions.

"Dear, I will stay for two more days before I head out for Qohor. Stay sharp and guarded till I get back."

"I understand, we will stay here and wait for you."

Then Auron turned to her guards and servants. "I leave the Moonshadow in your capable hands, please protect her on my behalf."

"We will, Master Auron. We will protect her with our lives."

"Thank you!"

When they finished eating, Aidana and the guards went to their rooms to rest while Auron head out to perform in a pub.

The owner of the pub welcomed him and was happy that he came. He urge Auron to start and so he did.

"Good evening, folks! How's your day? Since you are here in the pu--".

As Auron was speaking his opening speech, he was interrupted by a man drinking at the front. He was among the group of men clad in robe, obviously drunk as they sat there arrogantly, seven men in total.

"Shut up fuckface, we don't wanna hear your boring speech! Just sing a fucking song for me like the cunt of a whore I hump earlier."

"Hahahahahaha"

"Hahahahah!"

The group ofmen burst into laughter while everybody didn't seem find it funny.

Auron maintained his professional smile as he tried to get back into his performance.

"Ah~ it seems these men had a bad night. Anyway as I was saying, since you're here at the pub, you must've a long day. No worries may frie--"

"I told you to fucking sing!" The man shouted.

When he look up he saw the familiar man who was harrassing Aidana at the inn.

"I'm quite surprised that you can stay arrogant in this city despite being a Windblown." Auron's smile already vanished from his face.

When Auron spoke their company name, the atmosphere became tense. One of the Windblown soldier hurried to the the door and blocked it while drawing his sword. This is to prevent anyone from alerting the city guards.

"Anyone who fucking move dies!"

Some of the customers panicked but they can't do anything so they stayed at their seat nervously. Some women even started to cry.

Then the Windblown harasser stood up from his seat before arrogantly walked in front of Auron with mocking smile.

"Nice try little cunt, hehe you see we have the strength so we can do whatever we want, get whatever we want. After, I'm done with you, I'm gonna fuck that Moonshadow and share her with the rest of my brothers. What can you do, huh? Fight us with your lute or sing a boring song to us until we die? Hahahaha." The he spat at the ground showing his disdain.

Then he grabbed a nearby mug full of ale before pouring it over Auron's head.

He didn't noticed that Auron was clenching his fist so hard it almost bleed.

Auron didn't bother to wipe his face when he turned to the pub owner.

"Hey, pub owner! Do all of the Windblown act like these trash?"

"Y-yes, all of them."

Auron nodded and asked once more, "As long as I didn't kill, it isn't a crime right?"

The pub owner shrugged.

"Then Pardon me for cleaning up trash in your pub."

Without having time to react, Auron strike with a headbutt on the Windblown harraser's face in front of him. The man winced because it broke his nose. Then Auron grabbed his hand and punch the man's elbow dislocating it in the process followed by the punch in the gut.

At this time, the remaining six has already drew their sword.

Auron remain calm despite their numbers. He didn't even bother drawing out his own sword because they were all drunk.

Auron rush forward sticking close to one of them. He tried to cut him but Auron evaded and the same time he kicked the knee causing him to the man to crouch. With this opening he delivered a sharp elbow to the opponent's nape knocking him out.

He grabbed the knocked out opponent pushing him forward to his allies so he could get close. The next enemy was startled on how fast everything was happening so he wasn't able to react quickly. Auron grabbed his wrist and then delivered a knee in the opponent's elbow which disarmed him. Then Auron grabbed a lamp that was still lit and threw them to the remaining men including the man who was guarding the door. He grabbed the mugs at the table and threw them like a throwing knife. Eventually, they got knocked down and they groan in pain.

All of the customers were stunned on what they have witnessed. It was so fast that it took seconds to knock all the Windblown down the floor.

All of a sudden, they gasp collectively and Auron caught the wind of it. It turns out that the Windblown harasser already stood up, holding his sword once again on his left hand wanting to stab him in the back.

Without hesitation, he turned to dodge the stab, grabbed his lute and smashing it towards the man's face. The lute broke sending splinters in every direction.

As soon as the man was down groaning, Auron crouched down leaning closer to him.

"I hope this answer your question earlier. I have used my lute to fight you, you fucking piece of trash."

Then he stood up and said to the people around, "Tie them up! Don't let the guards know yet as I still have things I need to ask from them."

All of the people in the pub worked together to pin them down and tied them each, waiting for Auron's instructions.
