==================================

Arrluk tried to remember as much information as he could from his memories.

Only just yesterday, Arrluk was binging again on one of his favorite tv series, 'Game of Thrones', until he started feeling sleepy.

Thinking that he had seen enough for the day and should now go to his bed to sleep. But instead of waking up in the master bedroom of one of his penthouse, he somehow woke up in the body of a six-year-old child.

He was outright scared and anxious the moment Arrluk received the memories of the six-year-old.

Knowing that he had, by some unknown means, transmigrated to a shithole of a world that is Game of thrones would frighten any regular guy.

It took a whole morning for Arrluk to calm down and get his shit together. It was now noon. For the past half an hour, Arrluk has been going through his memories, both from his past life which he might never return back to, and the six years that he or Arrluk of Lys had spent in this world.

It was Year 286AC.

Lys, also known as Lys the lovely, one of the nine free cities. It is a small city clinging to rocks surrounded by stormy seas.

The city lies off the Disputed Lands coast, to the southeast of Tyrosh and the west of Volantis.

It was the place where Arrluk was born. Or at least he thinks so. Right now, he was living with eight children, who were all older than him, in a small wooden makeshift house built inside the slum area. The oldest child being eleven years old. They begged, stole from travelers, and did everyone another thing that could be done to live for their survival.

"The other kids should be hanging around the port right now," Arrluk murmured to himself. He was supposed to help them, but they left him alone in the house because he had suddenly gotten ill three-four days ago. Maybe because of that illness, the six-year-old child died, and the Arrluk from earth took over his body.

Growl*

"Sigh... I should find something to eat, or I will die again, and this time due to hunger." Arrluk looked around the small hut that he shared with other kids. Arrluk was weak and hungry right now, but he still gathered his last bit of strength to walk over towards one corner of the hut.

Arrluk pushed the rags aside that one of the kid's, name Tom, has been bundled there. Every other kid living in the hut knew that Tom had stashed a bit of his food beneath the ground so that he can use it for rainy days. Even if they knew about it, no one would dare to think of stealing it because Tom was the oldest and their leader.

But Arrluk didn't care for any of that. He needed to satiate his hunger at all cost. Moving aside a bit of dirt, Arrluk soon came across a wrapped cloth. With further adieu, Arrluk unwrapped it only to see pieces of nuts and some animal's meat made into jerky, possibly of a pigeon or other small animal.

Arrluk took a bite of the jerky and ate it with relish. He did not feel nauseous or anything like that since he had eaten worse things than this in his previous life. Being an adventurer, Arrluk had gone to many places, be it wilderness or to an island with few or no resources on it. There had been a time when Arrluk was stranded on an isolated barren island due to his boat getting capsized in a storm.

Arrluk ate anything that he could find on and around the island and could possibly let him see the next day's Sun. Therefore, Arrluk was fine in eating the jerky and all the nuts Tom had stored in the rag.

"Huh?" Just when Arrluk wanted to bury the rag back in the ground, he noticed a shiny thing, possibly a silver coin or some kind of metal. Arrluk dug the soil with his small hands until he could pick the whole thing out from the ground.

It was a sharp knife, a few oval-shaped copper coins, and a silver coin with a naked woman stamped on them. Arrluk immediately identified them as the currency of Lys. He was very much surprised to find such things in Tom's possession.

They could hardly earn a few copper coins from begging, and any expensive thing that they could steal from the travelers would always be given to the gang that ruled their area so that they weren't harassed, killed, or sold as slaves to the pillow houses of Lys.

Arrluk hesitated for a moment before covering the knife in a rag and placing it inside his clothes. He also pocketed the money, and just as he did that, a light blue screen appeared right in front of Arrluk. He fell back on his ass in surprise.

"What the... Argh!" Arrluk was about to swear, but he suddenly felt a pang of pain assaulting his head like someone was hammering his head with a nail. Fortunately, the pain was fleeting. It went away after five seconds.

Arrluk found some extra knowledge in his head that he couldn't help but go through it.

"So that's what this blue screen is... a gateway to operate a relic, an altar of the old gods." Arrluk was astounded at first, but then he soon turned ecstatic. If the information in his head about the sacrificing altar is right, it would be of great help to survive this cruel world.

Arrluk took out the knife and the money and placed them in each of his hands. Following the instruction, Arrluk pictured the altar in his mind and thought of sacrificing the things he held in his hands to the altar with a goddess statue built in the middle of it.

Arrluk opened his eyes, saw a grey light enveloping his hands. The blue screen that hovered in front of him also shined, after which the grey light rushed towards the blue screen only to get merged with it.

The knife and the money were still in his hands, but Arrluk felt it looked a little duller than before. Not in the color sense, but just like the two items have lost their soul or something like that.

The blue screen flashed in a brilliant light bringing Arrluk's attention back on it. Soon after, Arrluk found two lines appearing on the blue screen with two options in the second line.

Intermediate Knife Mastery

Basic Strength Potion or Basic Healing Potion

Arrluk did not even think much over the rewards. He immediately clicked on Intermediate Knife Mastery and Basic Strength Potion after putting the knife inside his clothes and coins back in his pocket.

The blue screen flashed once again, and soon two lights shot out of it; one fell on his empty hand while the other drilled inside his head.
