Game of Thrones: A second chance.

The story of a simple Lycan, lucky enough to get a second chance at a new life, going through the world unimpeded and trying his best at living his life as he goes. And with how his old life used to be, he didn't plan to waste it. On my first try at writing, I will try my best, but as English is not my first language, I hope you enjoy this story for what it is. If you enjoy, show your support. Or have a comment on how I could get better at writing. I would appreciate it. -- disclaimer -- I do not own Game of Thrones or any related information. I also do this for the fun of it, so go easy on me if the update rate of the novel is not constant sometimes. Covert art comes from the net, I don't own it, just thought it looked cool. Also trying to develop the story as best as I can. There will be a big backstory at the start. But I hope you can enjoy it. And one last thing, ill try to update 3 or 4 times a week.

Chapter 24: Daenerys.

I rode with Daenerys for about an hour. I could have stopped a long time ago, but I didn't want to. For the first time in both my lives, I was married, and my nervousness was immense. It's not like I was never with anyone, but it's certainly the first time I will enter something remotely real. Without even knowing her, apart from her Tv show character. She was already an important member of my Pack and my life. Making me feel the pressure even in talking to her.

When I finally got the courage to stop and talk to her, we were near the coast. I dismounted my horse and help her get off. Seeing how she was struggling to do so.

While I was securing the horses, in case anything happened, Daenerys went to gaze at the sea. Who knows what she was thinking, but her emotions were starting to go overboard. I could feel how her breathing got more chaotic, and her muscle started to get tenser.

As soon as I approached her, tears started to fall from her eyes. She looked at me with hate and fear. She has been fighting since her birth, from escaping as a newborn exile. To grow up in a simple life, just to lose all they had again when she was five. Willem, The only remaining person that took care of them dying. Becoming a wanderer, with no home, relying on the interest people had in them. Until they had to sell everything to survive. Actions that change his brother into a life of rage, bitterness, and an obsession with his birthright. To the point where he sees his only living relative as a way to release his frustrations.

She has also grown up believing that she would end up marrying her brother. And now, all the promises her brother once made. Seem like lies to keep her in line all these years. Until she was ready to be used as a tool in her "brother's conquest,".

All these things made her cry without sound. Most likely as a last goodbye to her old life.

I approached her and trying to be not so savage. I wiped her tears away. But it seems I'm a lot more intimidating than I thought. Because her expression became more scared than before.

"Do you speak the common tongue?" asked Daenerys, not knowing what to do.

"Yes," I replied while continuing to let her calm a little. And as I didn't want to give her the wrong impression. I went and sat on a rock that was closed to us. And after some time, she walked towards me and sat, continuing to cry.

"I'm sorry you were forced to marry me. But if it wasn't me, your brother won't stop until he sold you in exchange for an army. Probably to Khal Drogo, and believe me, you would have a bad time," I started to speak, wanting to explain to her.

"Then why did you accept?" she asked, trying to find what she wanted to ask.

"I have my reasons, and hopefully in the future, I can include you in them. You will notice that my Pack is a little special. And now your one of us," I replied trying not to reveal too many things. She is still under her brother's control, so I had to be careful.

"Pack? I thought it was called a Khalasar," Continue to ask Daenerys, trying to calm her nerves.

"Well, you'll learn when you stay more with us. But only when we are alone we can talk. To the outside world, and that deadbeat of your brother, I'm just the savage they think I am," I continued, giving her a test to see if her brother finds out about me understanding him, and not only being the savage with an army they can control.

When she heard, she got nervous again. The mention of her brother still made her feel fear. But seeing me made her words choke up, and she could only nod.

"Good, now let me help set up the tent," I said, standing up and taking all the necessary material from my horse.

Daenerys just looked at me confused.

"What are you staying there for? Come on. You're no longer a Targaryen princess, you're now my Khaleesi, and you have to act like it," I said, making her stand up and confusedly walking toward the materials I had put out.

I started to teach her how she should put it together, guiding her and helping her when she needed it. When she already knew what she should do, I watched seeing how she continue.

"You will start battle training and language learning with Missandei when we get back. You need to adapt fast if you want to be accepted by the Pack," I said, continuing to explain what she will go through.

"Let's see how you develop, and if you do well, I will train you myself. Now rest, ill wake you up at daylight, be sure to have your tunic, crown, and arakh with you. There are still a lot of eyes on us, and appearances need to be kept," I finished starting to walk to my horse, ready to have a run to calm my nerves. But before I could continue, I heard in a low voice.

"Wait... aren't... You going to take me," Daenerys said, with a shaking tone, not knowing what I would do next to her.

"No," I replied, trying not to show my emotions at this moment. I still needed to guard against her, until she earns my trust. Until now, everybody that joins the Pack, I have trust in them. I gave them a choice to change their destiny, and they took it.

But forcing someone ready to give her body and soul to a "Savage" just because she has seen herself as a tool for her brother was not right. I needed to make her see her worth, and taking all those ideas her brother implanted in her was my top priority before anything else.

And taking her first time by force, when she has that mentality will only make her hate me. Or even worse, accept that her destiny is not in her hands. And making her own it, and having to fight for everything she accomplished. But this time, it was going to be different.

So I left her there alone with her thoughts. I run around for about half an hour, hunted three pretty big goats, cooked them, and let Daenerys eat some while I finished the rest, in awkward silence. And after that, she went to the tent to sleep, and I stayed outside thinking of everything that just happened.

All in All, it was a good wedding.

[General View]

[Winterfell]

"I'm a Northman. I belong here with you, not down south in that viper's nest they call a capital. But he needs me, and I owe it to him to be there to help him," said Ned towards Lady stark, who had a concerned expression on her face.

"I won't let him take you, even if he needs you," responded Catelyn, still worrying about Ned's safety, having in mind what Sansa said to her hours before.

"Even if I didn't want to. The king takes what he wants. That's why he's King," Responded Ned, still not knowing how to respond to Robert.

"But it's as dangerous as it could get. You saw how the queen is acting. You have heard the news of all the things that are happening there. And worse of all, the Lannisters are planning something. You can't let our daughter marry Joffrey. It would be putting her in unnecessary danger," said Catelyn, getting worried that Ned was going to accept.

And before Ned could respond, a knock came from the door.

"It's master Luwin, my lord,"

"Send him in,"

"Pardon, my lord, my lady. A rider in the night... from your sister," said master Luwin, entering Nedsa chambers. giving the letter to lady stark.

"This was sent from the Eyrie. what's she doing there? She has not been there since her wedding," said lady stark while reading. And as soon as she finished, she burned the letter, with a concerned look on her face.

"What news," asked Ned

"Shes fled the capital... She says Jon Arryn was murdered. By the Lannisters. She says the king is in danger," replied Lady stark, still in shock.

"It may be thanks to Robert trying to replace the queen. Or who knows, but of what Robert told me. There are many dangers in the capital," replied Ned with an ugly expression on his face.

"If this news is true... and the Lannisters conspire against the throne, who but you can protect the King?" said master Luwin towards a concerned Ned.

"They murdered the last hand. Now you want to take the job?" intervene Lady Stark.

"The king rode for a month to ask for Lord Starks help. He's the only one he trusts... You swore the king an oath, my lord. And by joining your houses by blood. That bond will grow stronger," continues master Luwin, trying to convince Ned on going to the capital.

"He's spent half his life-fighting Robert's wars. He owes him nothing. Your father and brother rode south once on a king's demand," finished lady stark, trying to convince her husband otherwise.

"A different time. A different King," Finished master Luwin before exiting. Now Ned has a lot to think about. But his mind already knew what he was going to do. And lady Stark knows too, what she can do now, is prepare for what is to come.
