15 14. Terbeck Hall

Tyland Lannister POV

The reconstruction of Terbeck hall was going smoothly. I had convinced father to allow me to rebuild it. This would give us a whole new castle and also allow him to check the progress of my studies. Later on, the castle could be given to someone from the family. The destruction of Terbeck hall had been the message that defiance of House Lannister meant that, yo would be razed to the ground. Its reconstruction would send the message that Lannisters always took care of their own.

"Is everthing going well" I asked as my uncle Kevan was looking through some papers. he was here to supervise me.

"Yes, everything seems to be going smoothly. According to this the construction would be finished within two years." he sounded impressed.

I had not interfered with the design, after all I was no architect. But, I had made sure that there would be some plumbing and sewage system for the future. Overall, i had also given the architect some rough ideas which he had incorporated. The castle was going to be ahead of its times.

"though I am unable to understand reasons for some of these plans," he questioned with a raised eyebrow.

"These are done for future modificatons. Me and the company are working on somethings that could later be incorporated into the castle. This just reduces the cost for breaking apart and rebuilding." I replied explaining to him reasons for some of the design choices.

"Its your design, so I won't interefere with it but aren't you going to welcome Cersei and Jamie."

"Oh shoot, the were arriving today. I will have to leave you then. Sorry Uncle," he said while somewhat dashing out of the room.

Cersei Lannister POV

Cersei Lannister knew she was smart. She was a lioness. Between Jamie and herself she was of course the smarter one. Most of the people in the castle praised her for her intelligence. Yet, she always knew that compared to her brother she was normal. her brother was probably amongst the smartest person in the kingdom according to Maester Walrick. According to him he had always been focused on his education yet had been more focused after their mother's death.

He had always made time to play with them or teach them, yet he had fallen ill for a month after mother's death. He didn't come to see them often and even if he did he seemed distracted. But after some time he had again become their cheerful brother.

He would make more time for herself and Jamie. he even spent time with the dw.., Tyrion. Her brother had been angry when he had blamed him for their mother's child. He had sat her down and explained the circumstances of his own birth. He explained how their mother would have been hurt by her behaviour. After that she had been trying to care for her younger brother, though she didn't like him when he cried. He was as his brother said, family and family always came first.

Right now, they were on their way to Terbeck Hall. her brother was rebuilding the castle. She knew that it was going to be one of its kind, a very grand and majestic castle. Their father was in the capital performing his duties as the Hand. Their uncle would travel to the new castle to check up on her brother both of them had wished to see the new castle and no wee on the way.

Soon, they reached the gates. There were thousands of workers working around. She could see them carryong various squarish things on carts and some brittle greyish substance. The guards opened the gate they got off the carriage outside the newly built tower. It was quite an intimidating structure with its dark colour and reddish hue.

"Hmm I can't seem to find my younger siblings. Have yo two big child seen two young ones around here," they heard the ever familiar voice from behind them.

"Brother!!" we rushed into his arms giving him a hug.

"How could you have grown so much. Hmm, are you sure you are my sibings. Not some essosi assasins."

"Don't be mean brother,"

"Ah perhaps I should show you around. How would you like to see the new Terbeck Hall."

"Yes,'they chorused together.
