13 South Asian food

"Dear, you and the baby both are safe. Don't worry," Doctor Miller said after rechecking Maya.

"Then why can I eat everything without wanting to throw up?" Maya asked what was bothering her.

Sarah furiously nodded her head like a child.

Doctor Miller chuckled.

"Everyone's body is different, every pregnancy is different. That's why. Nothing is wrong with you. Some people just start showing symptoms a little late. Do you know that a lot of people don't know that they are pregnant even after months of them being pregnant," Doctor Miller said softly.

"That means I was worried about nothing," Maya said.

Doctor Miller nodded her head and asked her to be careful about a few things.

They left from there.

"As we are already outside, why don't we try some different Asian food? They taste like heaven," Sarah jumped in excitement.

"Of course, I am hungry anyways, " Maya said rubbing her stomach.

They got inside a south Asian restaurant where south Asian foods were kept to take a look at.

It was built beside a river.

They never had south Asian food before.

"Something new, let's try it," Sarah started jumping like a rabbit, and people around her look at her she's gone mad but she was just excited.

"I will ask the chef about the dishes first," Saying this Alora went to the chef's table.

"Hello, I am Alora."

"Nice to meet you, Alora. I am Hasan."

The chef looked younger than Alora thought he would be. With his sunkissed tan, black hair, and black eyes, he looked quite handsome to Alora.

"I have come for the first time to a South Asian restaurant. Neither I have tried any South Asian food before. Could you suggest me a few?"

"Of course, I can. Well, I am from Bangladesh. So, I would suggest trying any Bangladeshi or Indian, or Pakistani food. But to be honest, I think if you are looking for a real authentic taste from my restaurant then you should try Bangladeshi food. After all, I am from Bangladesh. That's just my personal opinion. Feel free to choose otherwise," Hasan said.

"We are up for some new taste today then why not Bangladeshi food," Alora smiled.

"What you would like to have? I mean, do you want fast food or a meal?"

"Let's try both. Suggest us one fast food, one main dish with drink and a dessert."

"You can try fuchka as a portion of fast food. It's the favorite street food of Bangladesh. It tastes better if spicy. But if you guys don't like spicy then-" Alora cut off Hasan in the middle.

"We love spicy food. Make it as spicy as you can," Alora grinned.

Hasan couldn't help but smile as well.

"As a main dish, I would suggest biriyani. It's eaten in Bangladesh, Pakistan, and India. As a drink, you can add 'Burhani'. It helps with digestion."

"Ok," It seemed like the smile wasn't leaving Alora's face.

The man before her was easy to talk to. She's usually awkward with people older than her but Hasan didn't seem more than 5 years older. He was also kind-looking.

"By the way, chicken biriyani or beef biriyani?"

"Chicken biriyani. We don't like beef that much."

"Sure," Hasan chuckled looking at Alora's face.

"As a dessert, you can have umm- maybe 'rosogolla'. It's really tasty. Made of milk with a faded hint of sweetness."

"Sure. How long will it take?"

"Around 1 hour & 30 minutes. Will you guys be able to wait?"

"Of course."

Alora came outside and told Sarah and Maya what she ordered.

"How about we walk around the riverside while they make the food?" Maya suggested, looking eager to roam around the riverside.

"Of course, let's go."

The three went to the riverside. There were perfect sitting arrangements.

The moon was shining brightly, illuminating everything around her. The reflection of the moon falls on the river, making it shine.

The breeze was numbing everyone on this winter night. Yet, this numbing feeling felt like heaven on this beautiful night.

Not many people were present as it was now winter. Most people prefer to stay at their house on this cold night.

Snuggling under their comforter with the heater on, watching tv, or reading a good book. Or maybe enjoying winter fruits alone or with family.

That was Alora, Maya, and Sarah before they tasted this pure bliss of going out on a cold airy night.

Sarah and Alora made sure that Maya was warm enough.

After a few minutes, their meal appeared.

"Times runs a lot faster than we thought. It seems like we just came here and it's already been 1 hour and 30 minutes," Alora said looking at her wristwatch.

"Would you like to have your food outside or inside?"

"Let's go inside."

They went inside and noticed that it was only them and Hasan.

"Are you going to close after we leave?"

"Yes, you guys are probably my last customer for today. I start selling around 3 pm every day and thankfully, the food sells out before 7 pm. Today, seemed like an exception as it's 8:30 pm already. For a better experience, I will turn on flute music if you guys are comfortable, of course," Hasan said serving the food.

"Of course, we will be glad to. By the way, don't you have someone to help you with?" Sarah asked taking a bite of the fuchka and she almost moaned at its taste.

"No, I can do all the work alone. Hence, I don't need someone to help me with."

Alora and Maya took a bite of the fuchka and they felt like they were already in heaven.

"Spicy heaven, it's sooo good. One of the best things I have ever tried," Maya said filling her mouth with another fuchka.

"Glad you liked it. Enjoy," Hasan left from there giving them privacy.

One by one the girls tasted every food and all of them were according to their taste.

After paying and praising Hasan for these amazing foods, they left for their houses.

They decided to walk back home as they had eaten a lot cause the food was super tasty.
