Angelo sleepily turned off the alarm clock. He sat dazedly in his bed, not really seeing anything for a moment before blearily looking around. He spotted Muning, still sleeping at the foot of his bed.

"nnnn...let's level up...nyaaa...nnn"

Muning mumbles, burrowing deeper into the blanket.

Seeing that Muning is still sleeping, he had the mind to resume his sleep. But recalling how the cat nags, he quickly abandon that idea.

Tch...

Angelo drag his feet towards the bathroom.

After taking a shower, Angelo dries himself with a towel and then wrap it up around his waist.

He turn towards the mirror and began brushing his teeth

Quickly calling the <<Menu>> panel, Angelo turned towards the iron bolt symbol and went to the notification settings.

Looking at the long list, Angelo unchecked the 'Alert when a skill gets Exp' before saving the settings.

With that taken care of, he resumed grooming himself.

With a towel still wrapped around his waist and a hair brush in hand, Angelo walked towards Muning.

He stroke Muning's fur.

Hmmm...feels good. But not soft enough...

He then sat on his bed and began brushing Muning's fur.

Muning sighs happily in his sleep.

Angelo quickly stop brushing and began stroking Muning.

Angelo burrowed his face on Muning's tummy, thus waking the cat.

"Nyaaaa?"

Muning struggled and flailed, trying to escape his Master's hold.

"Noooooo! Masteeeeer! Stop nyaaaa!"

A considerably relaxed Angelo and a deflated Muning arrived at the bridge. They looked at the infamous river that once has been listed among the most polluted river in the country. Thankfully, probably because of Transcenders interference, it wasn't bad as it is now compared before. There is still some waterlilies floating in pack, as well as some plastic garbages but at least the smell's gone.

Angelo noticed that there's a crane scooping out the trash near the riverbank.

"Ah! That's the Transcenders' logo nyaa~!"

A hand holding a small world inside a star logo is plastered on the crane.

Noticing a crowd gathered there, Angelo and Muning looked at each other.

"How is it that I never noticed them before...they're so conspicuous..."

"Nya? Oh, master didn't you see the barrier around the place nyaa~?"

"Huh?"

Angelo carefully observed the place and as he squint, he can see some sort of layer overlayed in his vision.

"Woah!"

What the f*ck was that?

He used <<Analyze>> and immediately a prompt appears before him.

"Ha...hmm...too bad my <<Analyze>> skill is still low level for me to dissect this array for my own" Angelo murmurs to himself.

"...?...Then why not level it up more nyaa~? You don't even used it that much nyaa~ for you to say that un-nyaaAaa!!"

Angelo squeezed Muning in annoyance.

"I'm just talking to myself! Why butt in huh? You meddling cat!"

After taking his fill on Muning, they both went towards the array and entered its zone.

Immediately, they were bombarded with too much noise. The place is packed with people and with them staying for some time in one place and various people talking at once, the noise pollution is high.

Angelo looked for a place to seclude among the crowd, and with <<Keen Eyes>> playing a part, he quickly found a corner he could hide in.

"Excuse me"

"Walking through"

"Sorry..."

Phew!

After walking through the crowd, Angelo leaned against a tree and observed the people before him.

The HUD above their heads are lighted in green, the same color as Angelo's. Angelo can't really tell if all of them are gamers or just subcontractors, since both have the same color of HUD. The only way you can tell is if you pry their <Status> panel open.

And since he doesn't have high-level skills that can do so, he can only guess.

But one thing that Angelo noticed though, is that some of them kept looking at him, more so on Muning.

Oh yeah...I forgot...subcontractors usually can't get any aid companions and the marketprice for their eggs are high. And Gamers can only get their free random aid companion once they are on level 40. Also, with this level of this instance, level 40 and above gamers probably wouldn't bother coming here.

In short, this cat is eye-catching!

Cold sweat came rolling down his brows as he kept a wary eye towards them.

DUM dum DUM dum DUM dum DUM!!!

Suddenly a drum noise echoed, silencing the crowd.

"What?"

"Where's that coming from?"

The people inside the array is bewildered.

"Hey! Up there!"

A beam of colorful light appears, followed by trumpets playing a fanfare.

"Look! Something's coming out!"

With the end of the fanfare, a green top hat with a yellow band and a gumamela flower on it pop out of the colorful lights.

"What the hell?!"

"A green hat?..."

"When are we going to start anyway?..."

"Isn't that?..."

"A Color, here?..."

Angelo creased his eyebrows in thought as he heard the mutterings around him. His eyes unfocus as he turn his thoughts.

The lightshow ended and the top hat is still floating in the air. It then abruptly wiggle and jump around in the air before coughing out a white bunny with a green bow tie.

An aid companion?

Mr. Wiggles wiggles his nose and float beside the top hat. It then took the hat and reached out his paws inside it. Suddenly a small hand appears and flick Mr. Wiggles' nose.

Surprised, Mr. Wiggles stares surly at the hat. The top hat hop in the air before spinning fast. A beam of light came out of the hat and a kid with a green mask appears. The kid floats in the air, as he theatrically picks up his hat and put it on his head. Flaring his verdant cape, the kid regards the crowd before him.

"Greetings Ladies and Gentlemen! ~ I am Lunti, the Verdant Magician, your host and quest giver for this instance! ~ ⭐"

There's no way that's the kid's real name. It's basically means 'Green Green'. Well Viridis might also mean 'young', anyway whoever thought of this kid's gamer tag is a riot.

This just really makes Lunti a gamer and not a subcontractor. Based on the info Muning downloaded on his head, only gamers can so to say, put aliases on their tags above their heads. When it comes to titles, subcontractors can also put one but their tag still shows their real names.

I made it look like a real name but what it basically translates to is 'Sloth King of the Cross'. It suits me, especially since my highest skill is <<Laze>>.

"Before we start, disclaimer~ Any injuries or deaths incurred and occured inside the instance will not be held responsible by Transcenders. Players joining this instance is held at their own risk."

Lunti smirk at them condescendingly before continuing.

"Now, it seems that there are so many noobs gathered here today! And since I'm in a good mood, I'll give you newbies out there tips and reminders~"

Counting one on his finger, Lunti resumes.

"If you have run out of healing items or you are simply hungry, Transcenders offers vending stalls scattered around the instance. Just check out a blue diamond up in the sky. It is also the safe area in the instance~"

Ha...the map of this instance is probably quite big based on that tidbit...

" Fun fact~ Some safe areas have time limits so make sure to check or something might happen~hehe" Lunti ominously added.

"..."

Staring at the unperturbed crowd, Lunti grunted in annoyance. "And I even made sure I look creepy...didn't even have a reaction. How boring..." The kid muttered under his breath while sulkily hugging Mr. Wiggles.

Quickly perking up, he continued.

"Second, you can also view your rankings in the safe area. The top 100, 50, 10, 5 have different rewards. So make sure you do your best out there~. Aside from that, there are other things you can do there but you noobs can explore other functions we added at your own leisure~"

Lunti shrugged while saying that.

" Oh, right...this instance is on time dilation. 10 hours inside is equivalent to 1 hour here. The instance will end at 5:00 pm. Make sure you are prepared because once you are in, the only way to get out is to wait for the instance to end. It will start at exactly 10:00 am so be ready~"

Instantly the crowd burst into noise. Some people did not have enough provisions to last the whole instance and some of them are quickly living the array to buy some supplies.

Well with the time rate inside, the instance will last for almost three days.

"Nyaa?! What are we going to do nyaa? Do we have enough supplies nyaa~?!" Muning frantically asked. Worried that his master will starved to death inside.

"Will you stop worrying Muning? My food that I brought will last me for a week"

"Nyaa?! So many?!"

"Besides, if that's not enough, we can just buy from their vending machines..."

"Oh! Thank the GM nyaa~ I thought..."

"You thought what?"

Angelo gazed ominously at Muning.

"Na-na-na-nothing nyaa~"

Muning replied as he evaded his master's gazed.

Well can you blame him nyaa? Master ain't that enthusiastic with doing quests and he hardly explore the system nyaa...All he did these past few days was surf on Muning-net nyaa...and level up some skills nyaa...

Angelo turn his gazed back at Lunti who is still floating. The verdant magician is staring at the people below him in amusement.

"This kid is not raised right..." Angelo mutters to himself.

Angelo gazed at his watch to check on the time.

Seeing that some of those who left are coming back, Lunti clap his hands to grab the crowd's attention.

"Ok! Now that everyone is back! Time to give the main quest!"

Lunti blew a whistle, catching the attention of everyone.

"One last reminder~, killing a player inside the game is a no-no okay? Because if you PK, you'll be on Transcenders' blacklist...AND WE WILL HUNT YOU DOWN!"

Lunti hover at them menacingly for a second before perking up again.

"Transcenders! To rise Humanity!"

A cheer came from someone and Lunti saluted and answered back,

"To rise Humanity!"

Oh...so that's why this instance is popular.

Heh...

As the last ten seconds ticked by before the start of the instance, Lunti regards the crowd one last time.
