Game progress and the Zodiac artifacts

When Mark woke up the next day it was already about eleven o'clock.

Although he was satisfied with the progress he made yesterday he still had a lot of work to do and the faster he finish programming the game the faster he can start promoting it.

Today he was going to finish the basic framework of the game and start on the landscapes and characters (NPC's), as for the story he decided to leave it for Lily.

Indeed he decided that after the mission is done he will tell her about the system.

"Ahhhh, that was some good sleep i had, but now i must return to my work. BUT…first i need to eat something."

"Man, even after all that sleep I feel like I have no energy left, I need to stay strong, if i can't even finish this task than i'm not worthy to be owner of this system!"

After ordering some takeout and finishing everything so fast that he would put the world hotdog eating champion to shame, Mark went back to his computer to work on the game.

He needed to think how to create the characters. This is very important for the game as only memorable characters and the story will make the players come back, also he needed to start working on the leveling system, character creation and quest line.

In Mark's opinion every one of these are very important and need to be finished first before making further adjustments to the game.

"Although it wont be perfect on the release date it would still be above average."

"Just thinking about the face every player will make when they start the game…."

"I could even pose as a high-level player, since I created the game, I guess I can give myself the best items ... whatever those would be. Alright let's get started."

Time was passing fast and 4 days later Mark was almost finished with the game basics , he could now start working on items , bosses and the multiplayer system.

He remember that back in the day he played Crafts Planet ( Basically WOW but i couldn't find a better name) and the game was really popular.

He got some inspiration from there but did not want to make another low level copy that was everywhere on the internet nowadays.

Mark wanted his first game to be memorable so he thought about it for a few hours today and finally had an answer.

"Stars, constellations .... immortals who grasped the powers of stars , reigning supreme." Mark kept murmuring like a madman.

Mark decided to add a unique quest in the game. One that is available to only 12 players. Only they will be able to advance in this quest.

There was no Pay to Win, only skill mattered. Mark have not added a game shop and never planned on adding one either. Quest , Mounts , Items, everything was for the players to grab

if they had enough skill.

So Mark added the zodiac unique quest. He placed the zodiac artifacts in the most dangerous locations in the game. The players who will be able get these artifacts are the elite of elite group.

"But i can't leave it at that. If only 12 people have this much power the game will be unbalanced…. i have to find a way to balance it."

"Hmmm then.... why don't i make it so that the zodiac artifacts make players slowly lose their reason until they become berserk and attack other players?!"

"Yes, yes. And also every time this can be an event where other people can claim this power for themselves by killing the berserk player. They can keep this power until they lose reason."

"System, i want to change the style of the game to Realistic VR."

~ The game created by the host can be played both the computer version and the VR version~

"Is that so? That's good, i don't think everyone will like the VR since it will be too bloody."

2 Days ago Mark found out from the System that he could pay half of the points he got from the newbie pack to add a VR version of the game. And not just any VR either.

It's the kind of where you get teleported in the game, no need for a helmet or something of that sort. Just press the button and shazam you are your own character.

"But this may make other people suspicious. The current technology level is not advanced enough for this. I can't say I made the game."

"Hmm yes, i will just say i got a new game from a mysterious game developer. I will be just the shop owner."

"Hahah classic, isn't it? I will be the big boss behind the scenes and never show my face ."

And with that being said Mark went back to work and tried to finish the game. After the game was done he could maybe ,make a trailer or a poster and show it inside the shop.
