2 The First Game

3rd Person POV

Oblivion watched as the soul woke up, it seemed confused at first. then it became intrigued, then curious, then frightened, then shocked, then happy, then outraged, then observant and finally the soul sighed in relief as a domain was spawned inside of my void.

Hmmm... interesting. Oblivion thought.

He was now very much intrigued with this soul.

This was the first time someone had overpowered his domain. Even The One Above All couldn't overpower his domain.

Oblivion watched as the soul finally realized that it was being watched by him as the soul obviously looks where he stands with a sudden look on it's face.

Oblivion decided that it was enough watching and introduced himself to this mysterious male soul.

"Hello, mysterious soul who has trespassed into my realm and decided to settle here. I am Oblivion, the owner of this place known as The Outer Void.", Oblivion replied in a very gruff voice.

"Hello, Oblivion. I know you, the one who existed before existence was created by The One Above All in this Omniverse. You may call me Neo, please. Mysterious person as my name just sounds quite awful in my honest opinion.", the mysterious soul or Neo as he introduced himself as.

"By the way you said this Omniverse and how peculiar your existence is from anything else I know, I assume that you are from outside of this Omniverse and know about this Omniverse?" Oblivion asked.

"You will be correct in your assumption. But may I ask, why assume? Are you not supposed to be Quasi Omnipotent?"

"My Quasi Omnipotence works on things from this Omniverse not from outside. I can use my powers to get some ideas about something but that doesn't work on you know that you have a Domain."

"Hmm..... So is it true that you stay here for all eternity till the next collapse of the Multiverse?"

"Yes. Now don't think badly of me: I don't really care about the multiverse but I can't help but wish for the end of all things. It's in my nature, my very identity, for my name... to some, at least -- is Oblivion. Before creation was... I was. Where creation ends... I wait. I am the void. The breath between life and death. Between death and rebirth. The nothing -- from which the everything springs."

"Do you not get bored here?"

"Hmmm. Bored,huh? You can say that. I sometimes get quite bored because my Quasi Omnipotence makes me know about everything that I gaze my eyes upon."

"Say how would you like to see me influence the world? See this beings you know everything about get untangled from their web of destiny and go towards a direction that is unknown to you?"

"That will be quite entertaining but how do you plan to do so?"

"You see...."

3rd person POV

In an apartment in the suburbs of NY

a chubby young Asian teenager was browsing the world's most famous online game store.

He was very bored. All the games were very similar, it was either a game about Captain America in WWII, a game where a soldier had to fight Nazis, a game about Tony Stark who has just become Iron Man or worse, a game where the company just wanted to take money from players, making them spend a lot to be able to stay strong. ( EA is cannon in the MCU so get ready to play Battlefield: American Captain with wonky graphics and all the glitches for 69.99)

This time of game always adopts a lazily modeled environment for players to play in, which only gets interesting when people spend money to get overpowered. That's why he gave up on that kind of game.

But no matter where he looked, Ned couldn't find any interesting games to play.

He even went to the "Recently Added" tab, but he couldn't find anything there.

He left the gaming store and went into YouTube to see if there were some walkthroughs that interested him. Browsing there, he saw something that caught his attention.

An Ad was being displayed on the side of his display which read, Do you wish to experience the real power of free will? Do you wish to experience true freedom? The power of Creation? The power to be free from the shackles of destiny? of reality?

Yes/No

with a banner of a pixelated person wearing a purplish black armour, brandishing a Pickaxe and an Axe of the same colour accompanied by a pig, a sheep, a cow, a chicken with him and a zombie, a skeleton, a big pig with horns and spiders trailing behind him.

Curious, Ned clicked on this different ad which took him to a website called Genesis Games. The site had three banners at the top. A banner called streams, A banner called Forum and a banner called Games. He clicked on the game banner. It took him to a place called library which had only one game.

Minecraft

Ned clicked on this different game and saw that the game page didn't have much information.

But as he was intrigued by the quote on the ad he downloaded that game and clicked on PLAY.

His consciousness was whisked away.

At the same time, such a thing happened in 7 more places on Earth.

Asgard

Thor has just won a spar against the warriors 3, so to celebrate he decided to go to a pub in Asgard. There he met his good brother, Loki.

"Loki, My brother. I see that you're intrigued by the Kree tech we confiscated from the Kree outlaw Trespassers."

" Why wouldn't I? This thing is a very good source of information. It's connection with the Kree Inter-Galactic network allows me to find out what happened where very quickly. I must say that this is a genius invention."

"Come on. We have the Rainbow Bridge. It allows us to travel to where we want. Information from afar can't help us if we can't get there quickly. That Holo..."

"Hologram"

"Yes. Hologram can't take us afar. It only serves as a tool for scouts."

"Yet you still carry a hologram yourself, Thor."

Thor blushed a little at this but quickly turned proud saying, "Oh, that. That is only a trophy from the glorious hunt we had last month. I still have to show it to the people so that they can understand that we at Asgard are still better than the Kree."

Beep Beep

Suddenly a beeping noice sounded from both of their Holo devices. Beeping meant they had a news recommend to them, yet there wasn't a single instance where they were both alerted at the same time.

Curious they both opened the interface and say a banner pop up, which read : Do you wish to experience the real power of free will? Yes/No, with a picture of a pixelated person wearing a purplish black armour, brandishing a Pickaxe and an Axe of the same colour accompanied by a pig, a sheep, a cow, a chicken with him and a zombie, a skeleton, a big pig with horns and spiders trailing behind him.

They got quite curious at this notification and so selected YES. They were then taken to the same website as Ned and saw what he saw. The clicked on all the banners yet the only functioning one was the game banner. There was a picture of a grass block with the name Minecraft floating in front of it.

"Hmmm... Looks like we found ourselves something interesting Thor."

"I agree, Loki. Are these the Games that Hercules and Hermes were talking about in the Council of the Godheads?"

"It seems so but they never talked about the feeling of this so call freedom. Hmmm is this fake?"

"Well we can only play to find out. But if this is fake how about we go to Hala and ask the Kree to help us find the creator of this so that we can punish him?"

"As much as I hate to agree with you, I agree with you."

"Then Let's try it out. Let's see what's so much fun about these so called games Hermes and Hercules were talking about"

So both brothers pressed PLAY and their consciousness was whisked away.

Also I know that this feels familiar because I also chose Minecraft as my first game. But I did so because there are many ways to use Minecraft as an anchor point to go into different games plus different mods also exist.
