5 Chapter 5: Starting out.

Few days later...

I'm still looking for the best way I can get myself to be better. In every way possible. The first thing that I looked at is naturally my fighting method, after a thorough read on what the System Observation made of me. I decided to choose to fight over a long distance as a main focus and close quarters when it is absolutely needed.

"So, have you chosen your style of fight, Captain?" Gaidos asked, to make sure that I have chosen my preferred way so that Gaidos can help me achieve those goal that I wanted.

"Yes, I have chosen my way of fighting." I claimed, before fully going into the reasoning behind why I chose it. "I decided to choose a long distance sniping way of fighting. With some CQC mixed in if my opponent get close to me. I thought that sniping is the fastest and safest way for me to end the fight after it begun. And if my opponent managed to dodge my initial attack and get close to me thinking that I cannot fight over close quarters, then I unleash my Close Quarter Technique and surprised them before ending the fight while they're still shocked at my CQC."

That's the way I'm thinking, it's very technical sounding and cunning, but it's to ensure that my survival is certain. By giving my opponent the thought process of I fight over long distance, it makes them want to get close to me to bring the fight into a CQC. But in reality, I am able to fight closely as well...

Gaidos didn't reply to me for a bit, seemingly thinking of something on its own. After a few moment of silent, Gaidos replied "You have chosen a very interesting and nostalgic way of fighting, Captain. Your thought process reminds me of that of the Late Captain Damien Lilles."

When Gaidos said that, it naturally gets me curious about the late Damien Lilles. So, I decided to ask Gaidos "What makes me so similar to the late Galaxy Overlord?"

"You are similar to Captain Damien in so many ways. From the way you think carefully and plan ahead cunningly. That thought process is what gives Captain Damien the ability to become the Galaxy Overlord. However, Captain Damien is definitely a lot more heartless and cunning than you, Captain Noah. But with the way you are right now, continuous growth will definitely bring you close to the level of Captain Damien. Do you want me to give you a file of how Captain Damien fight?" Gaidos explained in quite the detail. Naturally, I got even more curious to how this Galaxy Overlord fight.

"Yes, I would like to analyze how he fight." I wanted to see, how does the Galaxy Overlord fight. And how can I grow to be like him. If I wanted to become like him, then the way he fought will lead me to the path that I needed to take.

There's no one that I can looked up for survival than the Galaxy Overlord, Damien Lilles.

Gaidos sent me the files of the method of fighting that Damien uses. It's clear to see that this information is very detailed, just like Damien himself explain how he does stuff and what his thought process are when fighting...

"These are the files that will help you develop your own way of fighting based on Captain Damien ways. If you need anything or have any question. Please do let me know." With that, Gaidos went quiet, letting me figure things on my own.

I looked at the files and there's quite a lot of information for me to break down, such as: The Mindset, The Techniques, and the Weaponry.

It's not like the information ends in those 3 subjects either, there's a lot more information that needed even more breaking down due to the amount of sub-titles.

"Well then, Let's start with the basic Mindset of Damien Lilles." That's what I decided to start with.

I read the files of the Mindset, and it took me 3 days to comprehend everything that Damien explained. I even made my own note at the end of that comprehension to see how well I understand and how I interpret the Mindset of the Galaxy Overlord.

"Okay, so the Mindset that I should be having when fighting against an opponent is to never underestimate my opponent. Underestimating my opponent will lead to me getting wrecked before I can defeat him, leaving me defeated. Then, never reveals all of your card in one go. If possible, never reveals your strongest weapon to any of your opponent. Keep your strongest card to yourself and only revealed it when you ABSOLUTELY need it such as you're about to die or you wanted to erase your nemesis once and for all.

Never let your guards down even when you are sure that your opponent is gone. Who knows if there's any threat lurking around waiting for you to be happy to strike you down in one swoop. Then lastly, have an absolute loyal friends and comrade that you can absolutely trust your back to. If you can't get comrades that is absolutely loyal, then have a minion that is absolutely under your control to protect your life when you are not in the best condition. Let go, of your common sense and become abnormal. That is the only way to survive in this massive Galaxy."

It was definitely a long explanation, but it's the simplest of explanation that I can made from the absolute information jammed thought process that Damien have. Definitely, abnormal, that guy is.

But, reading the entire thought process of Damien, which he provided with example of his situation made me respect him because there's not a single bullshit that I can't get behind. I pretty much agrees to what he thought. That makes me quite happy that I am in the right track following the path of the Galaxy Overlord...

In order for me to walk the path of the Galaxy Overlord.

"You need armory and smithy, correct?" Gaidos detected that I have finished observing the first part of Damien Lilles files and immediately read my mind.

"Indeed. How can I upgrade my ship to have Armory and Smithy. Also, how much resources do I need to make those upgrades?" I asked Gaidos and it immediately shows those necessary information in my Ship System.

I looked at the Ship System and it reads: [Armory and Smithy is available upon upgrading Stealth Escape Craft from basic to Advanced. Not only that it would give you Armory and Smithy, it will also have a big storage unit and and advanced Stealth System, and Weaponry to protect the ship from any danger.

The cost of Upgrade would be..]

When I read the cost of the upgrade... I realized that I needed to work hard to get it...
