2 Chapter 2: Drifting In the Sea of Stars.

As the ships continue to drive away into the sea of stars, I walked around the small spaceships and make sure that everything in the ships is running as it should. From the food storage, kitchen, living quarters and even the bathroom.

Making sure the ships runs as well as it could so that my survival is certain...

However... Even though I'm trying to be optimistic, I honestly don't feel like things is going to go the way I wanted it to be.

"Ahh... It's boring out here alone..." I muttered, hoping things would change, knowing damn well that it's not going to get any better for a very long time...

I spend my times just like this. Looking at maps of the galaxy, making sure that the ships is keep moving. Refueling from times to times and definitely rationing my food to make sure that my resources isn't running out soon.

Times moves and it's not a kind thing. The longer I drift away and not finding anything, the more I feel the sense of dread and doom lurking behind me.

"Fuel is running low, food and water is running low, if I don't make any move soon, there would be no way I am able to survive... I need to find a way as soon as possible!" That's what I wanted, however... Reality is not something that grants what you want... You have to work for it.

Days, turns into weeks. Happiness, turns into depression.

"Fuck... Is it really going to end like this? There's no way that I would end like this, right? Surely. My parents sacrifice isn't for naught. Please... Give me a clue on what to do..." I talk to myself, hoping that whatever great being out there hear my call and help me...

Everyday that passed by, my resource management started to get a whole lot more careful. I make sure that the ships is moving with minimum amount of fuel getting used, I make sure that my food and water is only getting consumed when I absolutely need it.

I am at that point, where I didn't really feel or see any hope of surviving. Hence, I take out a notebook and a pen and then open up the first page of that notebook.

This is the only thing I can do, to make sure that my legacy lives on. Whether or not anyone would see, it's up to the future.

The first thing that I wrote in this diary of despair is... 'My Name is Noah. To whoever sees this note, whether you find it floating around in space, in the remains of my ship, or anywhere you find this note. I want you to please, remember my name at least. I have been drifting in the galaxy for a month and there seems to be no hope for me to survive. My resources is scarce, hence that's why I decided to write this diary of mine.'

I continue to scribble into my diary and the more I scribble, the more visible my despair, anger, and sadness was pour into every single thing that I wrote. And then, at the end of that note... I wrote the purest thought that I have in me. 'I want to live.'

It was then, my soul was brought back to reality. I was stumped for a moment and muttered to myself "Did I just vent into a piece of paper and then write my pipedream?"

Determination that once left my body, started to come back. I broke my pen by gripping it tightly and then replied to my own question "Of course not. I am way too young to die. I am way too pressured to live to die! I will not let my pipedream of survival became that, a mere dream!"

I sat back down at the cockpit and then look at the map and zoom out to the best it could. Looking at the coordinates, I can confidently say that I'm very far away from The Divine Lucia, meaning there's no orcs going around to find me. The Chance of them chasing me is near zero because my Stealth Craft is equipped with the best Stealth System around.

"If I went by memories of the galaxy, the closest Interstellar Ark around is the Mother Nihility Ship. Although they're not the best place for someone from Divine Lucia to go to... They're still safer to go to than me just drifting around in the Galaxy..."

I have decided on my next destination, the Mother Nihility, an Interstellar Ark similar to that of The Divine Lucia, but it's not as safe as Divine Lucia as they're known for their fleet of Nihility Army. Which is some of the strongest fleet in the galaxy. If they're the one getting attacked by the Orcs, then the Orcs would've been the one getting Annihilated as well, to the point that their Mother Ship would also be destroyed.

One of the reason why Mother Nihility is strong is because they have several planets that they used to support the Interstellar Ark. Although Interstellar Ark is self sustaining, it doesn't hurt to have a planet supporting it. Mother Nihility have several of them.

"Coming there would be dangerous, but if I can get there and explain the situation, they would take me in. I hope. Unless some other things are happening in Mother Nihility, I don't see any reason why they didn't accept me." I said my prayers and then make my way toward Mother Nihility for the best chance of survival.

Although I didn't have enough resources to go to Mother Nihility, I didn't care. The best chance of survival is that place and I would rather die trying than die writing a useless Diary that the chance of people reading it is slim.

Screw that route.

As I let the ship drive itself, I make my way to the storage room and look at my food, water, and fuels.

In order for me to have the best chance of survival, I need to find a way to create more food, water or fuel...

"In order for me to have the best chance to create it, I need a way to plant a very watery fruit... As for Fuel, I can figure out a way to let the ship drift into Mother Nihility."

It was late for me to do this but, better late than never... I decided to start farming for my resources.
