Gabrielle Russo

I can't believe I'm going to her, her of all people, the school geek, yeah she's pretty clever she's helped me a lot since I came here. My grades have improved all thanks to her. Who may you ask who I'm talking about? Charlotte Campbell. The school geek. I wouldn't usually go to her or entertain her with my presence, but this is important. I'd done some asking around beforehand. I need to find information about my parents and why they suddenly separated. I know that they we're close I was five when they split. They'd gone through everything together, he'd proposed to her they were planning their wedding then suddenly he was gone, we'd moved out into another home with no explanation as to why he was no longer with us. I know they loved each other how they acted around one another.

I tried to ask mom. She'd just pull weird faces and get angry, so I left it at that. I used to have contact with my father. I used to see him every month when the holidays came around. I used to spend half with him and half with my mother. I also know they were planning on having another child, but that never happened either.

I need to know what happened between them all those years ago and fix it so they can be together once again. I know they still love each other and it's tough on them both to see each other but they really need to get over this and get a grip and tell each other how they really feel.

I knocked on her door, well here goes. 'It's open.'

I pushed the door stepping in closing it behind me. She looked up at me over her glasses. I must admit she's pretty, yeah pretty boring. 'Gabrielle what do I owe the pleasure? Do you need tutoring again?' She asked with a serious tone.

'Not this time no.'

'So, what can I help you with?'

'May I?'

'Knock yourself out.'

I smiled making my way over to the bed. Sitting down, I've been here so many times whilst she'd tutor me. Now I needed her help on something bigger.

'So how can I help you Gabrielle?'

'I've been asking around and everyone says that you're the best at getting any information needed.'

She nodded and continued to listen.

'I need your help to find information on my parents.'

'I thought your parents were together?'

'Not anymore no. They haven't been together for ten years.'

'I'm sorry to hear that. So how can I help you?'

'You're a hacker right?'

'I am.'

'Good.' I said looking at her taking a deep breath. 'I need you to find out why my father left my mother; they were always so close and I want them to be again.'

'I can, but this time there has to be something in it for me.'

'You're crafty Miss Campbell.'

She smirked.

'So what do you want? I can give you anything, money?'

'I want you to take me to the valentines dance.'

I swallowed I did not expect that.

'You said anything.'

'I know.'

'Just as friends. You don't even have to stay with me, just take me and save the last dance for me then I'll help you.'

'Fine.'

'And we get to hang out. I'm sure you'll want to know my progress.'

'You drive a hard bargain Miss Campbell.'

'I know.' She smirked. 'So do we have a deal?'

'Deal.' I said holding out my hand.

She closed her hand around it shaking it. 'Deal Mr. Russo, glad to do business with you.' She smirked.

I was already regretting it, but what else could I do? I needed to find out what happend ten years ago so it could be put right.

I let go of her hand. 'I'll see you in lesson Charlotte.'

'You will Gabrielle.' She smiled, I returned her smile opening the door. 'Oh and one more thing Mr. Russo.'

I snapped my head around. 'We will be sitting in class together for the duration.'

'Fine. I know you'll correct everything I do wrong just like old times.' I chuckled. 'Bye Charlotte .'

'Gabe.'

I walked out closing the door behind me this year was going to be so much harder than I thought it would be.
