How the hell he convinced Castro he had control over it, I have no fucking idea. Filippo was so desperate, he ordered the biggest shipment my family has ever asked for from the Mexicans.

When they couldn't get a hold of Filippo, they sent men to ambush me while I was out with Uncle Victor one night. We figured the man we brought down to the dungeon was one of the Mexicans, but he was just a lackey—also a new one, so he didn't know much. And we didn't know why they sent them.
