Nova's brother, Terrence, took care of the funeral arrangements. There was a small but nice service on Tuesday before Nova was laid to rest.

After the burial, I drove us home but Riri suggested we stop by a grocery store. I thought she just wanted to grab some things for herself but when she went inside and started taking items in bulk or multiples, I asked what they were for.

She said, "Let's give these to the medical staff for their hard work through all the years they took care of her."

I admit that was the least I expected her to say, but also kind of expected of her. Riri didn't have to do it. She didn't have to go beyond, but she did. That's one of the things I love about her.

Damn this woman. She doesn't care if I die early, what with how my heart throbs every time she shows this side of her. I'm such a lucky bastard to have her as my wife. This only makes me want to keep her by my side always. She's so precious.
