When Mariano said we made art, he meant it literally.

That night, after we washed off the paint on ourselves in the shower, scrubbing each other, he went back to the studio and cut off the excess canvas on the floor where the paint cans spilled and where we had sex. We showered long enough that the paint had already dried when we got there.

At first, I thought he was going to toss it into the trash, but instead, we spent the next hour stretching the canvas and then framing it using wood pieces he has in stock for his projects. We worked efficiently together as though we've always done it together since the beginning of time.
