A soft, mocking laugh comes out of her as if she finds it funny. I don't have to ask her what it is; she's already spilling. "I can't believe he told my brother but not once did he tell me."

"Tell you what?"

Riri purses her lips, then grits her teeth when she says, "That he loved me."

I furrow my brows in confusion as I face her. "Weren't you together? Why wouldn't he tell you?"

She then turns to face me, her expression full of questions. "No. We weren't."

"You weren't?"

"Jino and I were not in a relationship. He's my best friend… That's all we were. Nothing more than that."
