The Myth

His mission was retrieving a hostage and their valuable documents, or only the hostage and copy the documents, while destroying the originals. He was sure about this being the room where said hostage was held, as he's been surveying the place for days, planning his infiltration. "Could they have moved them?" was the main thought running through his head. Then again, it would be quite an unusual choice, to keep a hostage locked up in a broom-closet. "Why does it even have a window...? Never mind that now." George thought to himself "Now I'll have to improvise." The agency has provided him with floorplans of the castle, so he had time to plan his route in and out. Now, that his "foolproof" plan has somehow gone slightly off the rails, he had to pull those plans from memory, and think logocally. He had to figure two things out. First: Where IS the hostage, if not here? And secondly: How will they get out? Now, it's true that he planned an escape, but that plan was built around the idea, that the hostage will be in the room, he was now in. This called for a new route, utilizing more "conventional" ways and tools, than what he had originally planned with. No, now it was time to use the "good old" method of making shit up as he goes, as at that point, No. 5 had no better idea. He opened the door ever so slightly. The room was at the end of a short hallway, away from the view of guards patrolling the main corridor. Then, he had a revelation. 

A guard, walking along the third floor's main hallway, suddently heared some muffled clanking nerby. He followed the sound, and found the broom closet door slightly open. He peeked inside, but it was almost pitch black. He found this a little wierd, as some light should have come through the window. "Maybe someone closed the shutters" he thought "Why was there a window in a broom closet anyway?" His pondering was rudely interrupted by two hands grabbing at his head, and pulled him completely inside. A few moments later George stepped out, now fully dressed in the guard's clothing. He pulled two metal wires from his pocked, and reverse-lockepicked the closet, as instead of picking the lock, he managed to lock it up instead. As he left, he could hear some muffled message coming from his victim's radio.

His first instinct was to find the castle dungeons. That might be a good place to sart looking for possible hostages. But for that, he needed to get downstairs. The only problem there, was that he had no idea where any stairs or elevators would be. Sure, he looked long and hard at the building's schematics, but ultimately figured that the easiest solution migh just be the best one, and his original plan involved him going back the exact way he came, only this time he would incapacitate everyone before decending the tower wall with the hostage. After that, getting through the rest of the property would be easy as pie. The long and short of all of that is, that George had only figured out where the broom closet is, both on the floorplans, and in person. This prompted him to just start looking. If he puts a mask on, probably not many people will ask about him, as they might not realize they have not seen him before. The guard, whose uniform he stole won't be bothering anyone with raising an alarm, or waking up any time soon for that matter, as George sat him against the wall, and put a chloroform-dipped hankerchief on his face. 

After a few minutes of mostly aimless wondering around, he found a staircase, leading dowm. Following it, he could get all the way down to the ground floor. On hisway, he didn't meet many guards, and with half of his face covered up, nobody asked him about anything. On the ground floor however, there were way too many doors and hallways for him to just look all over the place. It he only had about an hour before sunrise, which is when he's supposed to get to his pick-up point, not far from the castle premises. George has wasted way too much time on the third floor, so now he had to act extra fast. As a "throwing everything at the wall to see what sticks"-move, he casually walked up to the nearest guard standing by. "Hey." George said, slightly lowering his voice to seem...thougher(?) Whatever will fool the enemy into helping him. The guard looked at him with a stone cold stoic expression. Precious seconds ticked by, and George started going on a side-tangent in his own head, about how an actual rockface would blink first, if it had a staring contest with this guy. But he continued on anyway. "How can I get to the castle's dungeons?" Still no answser, just cold.
