4 Help !

Jason laughed at how excited his wife looked and was wondering how someone could change their mood so quickly. Just a while ago she had a grumpy look. He gave a quick peck on her cheek and said "Honey, Rachael said that she will send details on the mail in a bit and then I'll know what she requires."

Janet smiled at him and returned the kiss.

"Honey, listen I forgot to tell you that I have some left over office work which I need to finish it by Monday. In fact I had almost forgotten about it. Thank goodness I just remembered.

Just thinking about it I am getting a headache. The work is a little critical and a single mistake, things may get escalated. Please can you make me a cup of strong black coffee. I'll be in the study. " said Jason.

"Sure" said Janet and she got up and made a move towards the kitchen to make coffee. After sorting out the current wife crisis, Jason walked to his study.

Before turning on his laptop he checked the time and saw that there were 15 more mins left before he could connect with Rachael.

He did have some pending office work which required less than an hour's time to complete but he had decided to work on it at a very slow pace. This he planned intentionally so that if Janet wanted to stealthily check on him, she could see that he was working.

Jason patted his back thinking how smart he was while smiling to himself.

He then slowly turned on the laptop to login, while waiting for his coffee. Once Janet brought him his coffee, he asked her to close the door behind her. He decided not to lock it.

He casually started looking at his official mails while simultaneously keeping an eye on the time. Just five minutes before the time, he started calming his mind. It was essential to calm down the mind and drive away any thoughts in the mind for the telepathic message to come through. As the entire communication was through thoughts it was essential that there were no other thoughts in the mind.

Also the ETM method required extreme focus especially when encryption was involved.

This needed some energy to be spent on. Jason felt ETM was better as there were many migrants from Zeus in the past few years and he feared that someone may hack their conversation.

But on the other hand, Rachael knew that both Ray with his extreme super powers and Ethan could easily hack ETM from what she learnt while on Zon. And what made her even more jittery was the conversation she was about to have with Jim was about Ethan.

She had been lazy and missed learning the other better and powerful communication methods and she regretted it. She mentally made a note of it, to learn all such available methods, if at all her intuitions about Ethan turned out to be false and she went back to Zon. She could alternatively take help of her brother to learn them.

Finally it was time for Rachael to calm down her mind.

Both of them initiated the telepathic tunnel from both the ends at the same time setting the details of the receiving party. When the tunnel was finally established, the next step was to layer it with of 6 encryption layers. This step was the one which consumed significant amount of energy.

After the set up was completed which took a few minutes to establish, the encrypted telepathic channel was now ready to use. Jason sent the message first

"Rachael I believe you can hear my thoughts. Please respond if you can hear me"

Generally in the first few seconds there will be glitches in the communication channel, as would require some time to set up the thought frequency. Once that's set, the thought process could flow easily.

After a few seconds Jason could hear a murmur followed by a feeble voice of Rachael which became clearer as seconds passed.

"Hi Jim, yes I can hear you now"

"Great, now before we get started from where we left it I'll need you to do me favour" said Jim.

"Sure Jim, tell me"

"Listen I just told Janet you had called me to seek help for the new year party and that I will take her help for organising. I just told that by slip of the tongue and then realised what a blunder I had made. I also told her that you will be sending me a mail on those details.

I am so sorry, but I had to lie to her to ensure that she does not get the details around what we are talking. I want her to stay out of all this"

"Oh" said Rachael and after a moment of pause she said "I totally get from where you are coming Jim. Well, for your luck, we are planning something and I guess Janet can help"

"Oh that's wonderful" said Jim " Tell me what's it and it will help if you can drop a mail on that as well"

"Of course Jim, I'll drop you the mail. We are planning to give a surprise party to my parents on new year eve and as a part of it we are inviting few of my parents close friends and your parents are included. We thought inviting people through the traditional way of post cards will give a nostalgic touch to it.

Now this was decided at the last minute. And I am literally worried if the post cards will reach on time. So, I think Janet can help here to prepare the post card and post it on our behalf.

She can post the card from the local post office out there. I guess that way the card should reach them on time as you stay close by. I will send the contents of the invite over email"

"That's perfect. I'll wait for your email after our conversation. Now let's get on to the main topic which has been bothering you" said Jim

"Sure Jim, but let me try and wrap it up as soon as possible. Because ETM can be easily hacked in today's world. I did not want to tell you this over the phone earlier. I am aware that both Ethan and Ray can disrupt ETM. It will take them less than a minute to break it"

It was Jim's turn to get surprised and he had almost forgotten how powerful these two guys were.

"Rachael do you think we have to meet up and talk directly to avoid any risk"

"I am not sure Jim if we can do that and I don't think we have sufficient time to even meet up. Let's say even if we get an opportunity to meet I don't know if I can open the topic without any fear"

"Okay, can you give me a hint as to who or about what you are getting an intuition on" probed Jim.

"Jim, it's about my life partner"

There was a long pause from Jim before he reacted

"Are you sure about what you are thinking?"

"I am really not sure on that Jim. I don't know if it's just what I am feeling or if it's an intuition I am having. My mind is muddled right now and has been going crazy. As the end of the year is approaching my intuition has gotten stronger as to something bad is gonna happen. But my thoughts are unclear and I am unable to decipher." Rachael's thought came through.

"Hmm, do you think something may happen at your place in the party for your parents?"

"No Jim, not at my parents party. Ray and Ethan have got tickets for the new year celebration party at the Great Drinks Dance Bar and I have not been feeling good about it. But you know I can't refuse Ray as he got the tickets out of love. "

"Got it, do you want me to book tickets for Janet and myself ?" asked Jim

"You know what Jim, that is exactly what I wanted to ask you for. You are the best. Don't bother about the tickets. They have stopped online bookings. I'll get Ray to get them for you both"

"Done deal. But then as both us and my parents are coming over let me book the lodging at least"

"There is no need for it Jim. As we are inviting many of my parents friends we are arranging for all of them. You need not worry. I just need you to be there on the new year eve, at the dance bar just in case something goes wrong"

"Okay sounds good then. I'll wait for your email then Rachael "

"Sure Jim. Thank you so much. I could not have asked for a better friend. Once I get the tickets I'll scan them and send you a copy and once we hang up, the first thing i'll do is to send you the mail. Bye Jim "

"Bye Rachael " said Jim

And with this the communication channel was severed.

Rachael was still worried but she knew that she could completely rely on Jim if things went out of hand. She could not share the details about Ethan with Ray although she knew that her brother was way too powerful. He was still was too young to comprehend complex situations and take the right decisions

She decided to take Ray's help only in dire situations if things got out of control and the ones which could not be handled by Jim. With this thought in mind she switched on her laptop to send the email to Jim on the invite contents.
