16 Horrible Mother

"Brother in-law is innocent!"

Ming Mei shouted as all attention was now fixed on her.

Running towards her Hui Li, Ming Mei staggered slightly almost falling down.

She was still weak and needed rest but with the situation at hand, she had to leave rest aside.

Just right beside her were Sisi and Jai Jai Lin who tried to stop her but she just happened to be faster than them at running even when she was not well.

Meanwhile, Shocked to see her daughter Hui Li filled with happiness stood up from her chair and walked towards her.

Hugging her tightly she sobbed, "Oohhh my baby is alright, are you okay huh? Why did you get up? You should be in bed. Where are those stupid maids of yours.."

But before she could finish her words, Ming Mei escaped from he arms.

"Mother what exactly are you doing?" She asked her face red slightly in anger.

Confused by her daughter's new Change of attitude, Hui Li frowned, "What else does it look like I'm doing? I'm punishing this scum for trying to hurt my Mei Mei.."

She declared as she pointed angrily at the bleeding Jin Ling.

Seeing him alone made Ming Mei's eyes water.. she couldn't help but pity him.

He suffered so much and every single time he is blamed for everything. Whether his guilty or innocent.

'authors should be more kinder to their characters, it's not fair!'

She thought as she then flashed her mom a deadly glare, "Your wrong Ma, Brother in-law is innocent! He Didn't do anything to me, I fell and hit my head... You all know that I am born with a weak body so you shouldn't be punishing him for-"

But she was rudely interrupted, "Enough! You are young and ignorant.. I'm sure he must have hurt you, you just don't remember but don't worry Meimei, mommy will have justice for you."

Hui Li stated as she commanded the servants, "What are you all waiting for? Beat him!"

She said aloud and they continued hitting Jin Ling mercilessly.

"Mom! Please stop! s-stop! You'll kill him," Ming Mei tried to stop Hui Li but she was too wicked to even hear her words.

Seeing as all this was getting out of control, Ming Mei closed her eyes slowly for a minute, "Then you leave me no other choice."

She mumbled to herself as she then charged towards her brother in-law who was in the midst of being beaten.

And without hesitating, Ming Mei laid on him as she protected him from getting it.

Her action shocked almost everyone, including Jin Ling who totally didn't see it coming.

"Third Missy!" Sisi and Jai Lin shouted in horror as they gasped.

"Y-you.. Mei Mei, what are you doing? Get down from there.. do you want to hurt yourself?" Hui Lin shouted as worry was flashed across her face but Ming Mei was more stubborn than she looked.

"No! If you can punish brother in-law for something that he didn't do, then punish me as well.. C'Mon! Hit me, I slipped and hit my head so I should be punished but I won't leave here without my brother In-law. STICK THAT TO YOUR SKULL!"

Ming Mei shouted as she stuck to her words, hugging Jun Ling so tight that she literally covered his entire body.

"Y-you... Your arrogant child! I have been too soft on you huh? How dare you disrespect your mother like that?" Madame Hui Li was literally shaking as she said angrily.

"Mother? Scoffs* you have never once been a mother ever, all you do is shop all day and travel from one city to another.. you have never trained or taken care of me and my sister, that's the reason why we are what we are.. you are the reason I'm arrogant because you are the worst mother ever!!"

Ming Mei shouted, her words true but shocking.

She didn't know what got into her. she felt as though she could feel all the pains and sorrow of the real Ming Mei.

She said something that has been hidden in the villainess mind for years.

The soul reason the villainess became what she was in the novel was because of her wicked mother who only thought bad values instead of good to her daughters.

With anger visible in her eyes, Hui Li flared up, "So you think you can talk to your mother like that huh? I'll teach you a lesson!"

"Servants! What are you waiting for? Continue with the beating!" She ordered angrily as the servants all hesitated, fear visible in their eyes.

"What are you waiting for?"

"W-well Madame, T-the l-lad-" they stammered, they possibly couldn't hit the lady.. she was as weak as a petal, she could never handle it.

"Forget about her, it's her wish to protect him so she can get punished along with him, continue with the beating," she said as she sat back down.

"N-no, no Madame, the lady just recovered.. please have mercy!" Sisi and Jai Lin were already in tears for their young lady as they knelt down and begged the Madame but as heartless as she was, she completely turned a blind ear to their words.

"Do it now!"

She shouted once more and the servants exchanged glances and gulped down slightly before they Aimed directly on Ming Mei's back.

Just as Ming Mei was getting ready to feel the painful impact of the sticks, just then she felt a huge hand grabbing hold of her small petite waist as Jin Ling carried her swiftly and placed her under his care.

He was hit once more but his attention were all on the tiny woman under his arms.

"If you want to die, then die in some else's arms!"
