8 Grandmother Ming

"Ming Xia, how dare you hurt your younger sister?" Said the old Madame and she walked into the room with her two sons and their wives behind them.

"G-grandma?" Ming Xia muttered shocked to see her grandmother.

And she wasn't the only one who was shocked by this, including myself and everyone present.

"Grandmaaaa… S-she hit me so badly," Ming Ciao cried out as she ran into the old Madame's hands and the woman's eyes which were filled with anger a minute ago melted immediately.

"Oooh my child, don't cry, grandma will protect you.." she reassured her grandchild as she then faced Ming Xia angrily.

"What are you still doing standing? kneel and apologize to your sister for hitting her like that!"

She commanded angrily as her voice rab through the whole room which was so silent that even a single drop of water could be heard.

I sighed slightly as my eyes didn't leave the plumpy woman with white curly hair which was styled in a nice bun.

From her face you could tell that she was an extreme beauty at a young age and by her dressing and Manner, you could well learn of her well lived and luxurious life.

But she was one of the side characters that existed in the novel.

The grandmother and elder of the entire house. The only person who ever loved the villainess even till the last seconds of her breath, Grandmother Ming.

"Didn't I just tell you to kneel, yet you still stand.. s-such an arrogant brat!" She muttered angrily, facing her son, Ming Lou, the female lead's father who quickly shouted at his daughter.

"Xiaxia, quickly as your grandmother said immediately, don't be stubborn." He scolded as Ming Xia looked at him with slightly watery eyes before then getting on her knees.

Seeing her mistress kneel, Lian, Ming Xia's maid then knelt down and cried out, "Old Madame, please have mercy on this frail maid for what I'm about to say but my miss is innocent, the one who should be apologizing is the second miss for insulting my Miss in the midst of everyone including us maids."

Lian said as Ming Ciao's eyes twitched slightly in anger, quickly looking at her grandmother, she cried out, "Grandma I Didn't do anything to my older sister, She was the one who had hit me right before the maids and servants for no reason at all."

"Please grandma, don't believe the words of such a foolish maid over your grandchild," she sobbed as tears fell from her eyes.

Meanwhile I just stood at a side, enjoying the typical drama. I sighed, I'm so happy that I wasn't given the female lead's body.. if it were me I would have given Ming Ciao not Just a slap but a huge beating.

What a chronic liar and no one is even standing up for the female lead not even her father.

"Madame please ask the maids and those present before you came in, they can justify that the first miss is innocent and it is the Third miss who is lying," Lian said as Grandma Ming exchanged look with her Granddaughter and her sons.

Sighing she looked at the maids who where busy hiding at the door, "You, tell me who started the fight and who's lying between the two of them?"

She questioned as they both exchanged concerned look. At one hand was their smart and kind hearted young Miss and the second was their wicked and heartless second Miss.

Even Though they would do anything to save their first miss from this situation, they couldn't risk their jobs and life for her.

If they said the truth and the second miss is proven guilty, the old Madame may not punish her since she dots on her so much, leaving them to become her next targets.

No! They absolutely couldn't risk it.

"O-old madam, The second miss is saying the truth B-but the first miss is lying," they said shakenly as a smirk appeared on Ciao's lips.

I understand their situation, they had to take the side of who was most powerful and that was my sister even if she was a conniving snake.

"You liars, how dare you lie Like that? Do you not fear the heavens for what you have done?" Lain shouted at them as they just looked away.

"G-grandma.. please ask someone else, the maids are scared they won't dare to rat out their master," Ming Xia stated as the old Madame just sighed.

Just then, I heard my father call out my name, "Mei mei, so you were here all along? C'mon tell your grandma who is innocent and who is guilty!"

My father commanded me as in just a blink of an eye, all eyes and attention were now on me.

What the hell was going on?

Sighing, I looked at my sister who had a happy expression as though she knew well that she had already won the battle and then I looked at the female lead who Just had a gloomy face on like she had already accepted defeat.

After all, which sister would rat out her other sister, especially her the villainess.

Sighing I felt like digging a hole and hiding in it. On one hand was the female lead and the other my sister, even if Ming Ciao was a brat, she was still my sister in this world and it would raise suspicions if I were to side with the female lead.

Closing my eyes, I stepped forward ready to reveal a lie but instead I heard the deep and grim voice of someone unexpected.

"Ming Xia is the liar!"
