Fusion With The Weakest Monsters By Accident

In the year 1975, portals appeared around the world which came to be known as gates. These gates contained monsters that would be able to escape from the gates if they were left alone. These monsters had the ability to get stronger by killing humans or each other which gave them the ability to evolve once they had gained enough experience to raise their levels high enough. If this wasn't enough to make them a serious threat, the stronger monsters were also impervious to any weapons that mankind attempted to use against them. Luckily, humans with powers that could fight back against these stronger monsters appeared. Not only did they have powers, they could also raise their levels the same way as monsters could. These people became known as hunters, and they helped to keep the gates stable, while also improving the world with the materials they brought back from gates, not without being paid for it though. 47 years later in the year 2022, a 16 year old boy named Lugis was forced to work as a porter in an attempt to make money to pay for his fathers treatment for a rare illness caused by a scorpion-like monster's poison which has caused him to be in a coma. However, while working for a high ranking guild as a porter in a low level gate, an accident occurred which would change his life forever.

Chapter 4

Now that he had checked everything he felt he could, Lugis only had one thing left to do in the dungeon.

He had to defeat the Boss and escape the gate.

Lugis, who had only made it about 3/5 of the way through the gate while running from the guilds, started walking towards the end of the gate. He knew for a fact that despite being an entire rank above the Half Golem Boss, it would be quite a difficult fight for him as he was not used to the powers he gained from his fusion with the Golem Parts.

Not only would it be difficult due to his unfamiliarity with his powers, Boss monsters also tended to be stronger than the regular versions of monsters. This meant that despite the Half Golem Boss being E rank, it was closer in strength to a mid D rank.

Along the way to the mausoleum at the end, Golem Parts that had not attempted to fuse with him began to attack him out of regret for not joining the competition, and anger at the victors.

This showed Lugis the massive variation of types of Golems. Aside from the four types that had fused with him, there were Water Golems, Wind Golems, Thunder Golems, Earth Golems, Metal Golems, Wood Golems and Light Golems.

Out of all of the types, Lugis was quite happy with the ones that had fused with him. Not only were they quite strong types, he did not want anything to do with either the Water or Thunder elements as he planned on getting revenge on the guilds that had hunted him as soon as possible.

Due to his superior stats, Lugis had no problem with them no matter the element. This meant he did not have much of a chance to use his abilities as he could just punch or kick the Golem Parts away.

Once he reached the mausoleum, Lugis was confused at how to get the Boss monster to appear as just walking around it was not enough. His first thought was to try and destroy the mausoleum in an attempt to bring the Boss out.

He used the power of his new left arm and started to charge up an attack to make it as powerful as possible. Lugis felt power from his core start flowing into his left arm, which was accompanied by a feeling of warmth building up. A huge surge of power ran directly into his arm as the previously mildly lit flames exploded into a vibrant and destructive flame.

In the end of his cannon like arm, a large ball of condensed fire kept building up. After around thirty seconds, the ball of fire reached its maximum size and power which meant Lugis aimed it towards the mausoleum and fired it.

In a blinding flash and sound of an explosion, the fireball was launched at immense speeds towards the mausoleum before blowing up on impact and sending a mass amount of flames into the surrounding areas.

After the smoke and cloud of debris cleared, the mausoleum was completely destroyed which revealed steps going down which were concealed within it. This was different to the information he had read about the dungeon, as the Boss would normally emerge just by going too close to the mausoleum.

Lugis thought to himself for a moment, 'Could the gate have changed somehow due to me becoming part Golem, or was the information I read wrong? If the reason is the former then gates in the future might be different as well.'

Before entering the lower section of the mausoleum, Lugis decided to check if his level had increased from killing every Golem Part he saw on the way to the Boss area.

Name: Lugis Blackthorn

Species: Human / Golem (Shadow, Fire, Ice, Crystal)

Level: 7/50

Rank: D

Attack: 65

Defence: 65

Vitality: 120

Agility: 50

Free Points: 28

Seeing this status was shocking to Lugis, this was because of the amount of free points he had. Hunters stats would not increase by level up, as they were all increased upon their rank increasing. However, each level up that a Hunter went through would award them one free point that they could put into any stat that they wanted. This allowed them to specialise their stats based on their skills as they were the main way that Hunters fought monsters.

Lugis assumed that the free points he obtained were four times higher than normal because of his body having four sources of power, with each different type of Golem that fused with him obtaining a single free point per level up.

He then proceeded to distribute the free points in the way that he thought best for his body's abilities and future needs.

Name: Lugis Blackthorn

Species: Human / Golem (Shadow, Fire, Ice, Crystal)

Level: 7/50

Rank: D

Attack: 75

Defence: 75

Vitality: 120

Agility: 58

Free Points:

As his Vitality was already his highest stat, he decided to put no points in it due to the development of it being the highest. He then put ten points into both Attack and Defence, and the remaining eight points went into his agility.

Once he was sure that he was ready, Lugis started to walk down the steps into the bottom section of the mausoleum. As he got further and further down the steps, it became darker to the point that the only source of light was from his Fire Golem Arm. Once he finally reached the bottom of the stairs, he found himself in a large room which was lit up by torches the second he took a step onto the floor.

The room that was now lit up revealed the Boss monster at the far side of it. In between Lugis and the Boss were three Half Golems, which confirmed his assumption that the gate had changed.

The Boss monster was stood behind the Half Golems, and it was a Wood type Golem. Only one thought was going through Lugis' mind, 'This is definitely going to be harder than I had thought it would be.'
