The Sacrifice and The Goal

Everyone was shocked because they were expecting a huge attack but opposite to it, Ralph created a huge Dome enclosing the whole town within it. Ralph then put another barrier over The Holy knight and everyone with him.

The Holy knight was still shouting at Ralph for being a liar to this Ralph just replied,

"Are you dumb, why would I tell the enemy before I will do a great attack"

Then Ralph turns towards Lina and others and was about to begin speaking but Lina spoke before him

"No…Ralph please no"

"Lina this is the only way, I will not die we will meet again I promise"

"No Ralph please if you do it now, they will be free and attack you from behind"

"This is for the sake of baby" as soon as he said this blood started coming out his nose and mouth, behind Holy knight and paladins were attacking the barrier placed over them.

The [Dome of Control] a skill which is bestowed within the Rivera Viscount family creates a barrier dome as big as half a kilometer, but by using his manifest the blue gem on his armor Ralph makes it as big as the town.

The skill gives the power to create an endless number of barriers within the Huge Dome. And also the ones who skill bearer is aiming to protect can be transported anywhere inside the Huge Dome freely but while doing it all the barriers leaving the one protecting them disappear and it takes three minutes for the transfer to occur.

Also, another huge downside of the [Dome of Control] is that once it is summoned the barrier and user shares their vitality the barrier won't break until the user is conscious but every attack on the barrier will affect the user's body and will cause pain to him.

That is what happening with Ralph is the Holy knight and Paladins attacking the barrier they are trapped in is causing pain to Ralph and after using his manifest (Maximize Gem) to increase Dome range he is feeling the impact more than normal too.

This is something Ralph can only do once every 4 years due to restrictions placed on skill and also the limitations of his manifest being consumable type. Seeing him bleed from mouth made Ryu think

'Why…. He had to go through all this for me, is it the price of loving me. All I wanted was for peaceful days to continue. Then why!!!!' he wanted to shout out loud

"Lina, this is the only way," Ralph said while wiping the blood off his mouth

"Promise you won't die; our baby will meet his father again," Lina said while almost crying

"I promise Lina" and then Ralph hand on the barrier began to shine and Looking towards Aiena he spoke while the barrier surrounding them was changing in color

"Aiena, promise you would take care of yourself and be happy"

"I….promise…Lord…. Viscount" Aiena said crying with a runny nose as she falls on her knees

"Please do not die…...please" Aiena continued sobbing then the Barrier surrounding the Holy knight, Paladins and knights disappeared as the color of the Barrier they were in is changing.

The Holy knight come running fast towards Ralph with his sword blazed in silver flames with maniac like eyes and swing it towards Ralph,

"[Light Screen]" Ralph cast from one hand towards the sword as he continued to channel his mana in barrier to make it teleport and Lina come forward near the edge of the barrier and kissed Ralph on the cheek poking her face out of the barrier and said with eyes full of tears

"I'll keep waiting, for you no matter what!!" as she pulled her face back in the barrier and Ralph answered while looking towards Ryu instead

"Father loves you the most, more than anything in the world. I will miss you, we will meet again for sure baby, please do not hate me for not being there for years" Ralph said while crying and Holy knight was just shouting

"You will die lord!!!, this baby will be next!! Your tricks won't work" and Ryu was thinking

'I won't forget you; I love you too. I won't ever hate you. For me who can't even stand you are my hero father….you spoiled me, why did it have to happen to this family due to me!!!!' Ryu wanted to shout the last part out loud

And when the barrier and even they were turning translucent Lina shouted loud

"Ralph!!!" the Holy knight had broken through [Light screen] and his sword was coming out of Ralph's shoulder. Ryu's mind went blank

Ralph spoke in a low calm warm tone

"I am fine," this was the last thing Ryu and everyone saw before they appear at the edge of the barrier in front of Ethel's Forest, and Lina was silent everyone was silent.

And Lina thought

'Ralph did his best for the baby he is still fighting back there' and with a resolve said to everyone

"Let's run inside the forest, Ralph is still holding them back so we can escape"

And she started running carrying Ryu who was lost traumatic memories of his past life and was scared for Ralph, towards the forest the only thing going in Ryu mind was

'Is he fine, he cannot die…he promised'

And Aiena asked while she was being carried by Hina and running behind Lina

"Viscountess mam, Lord he was stabbed.... will he be fine" Aiena was desperately holding back tears as she knows they were already in a troublesome situation even Snow was unconscious and was carried by Lana on her back in this kind of situation she cannot trouble them any further and to Aiena like that Lina answered

"You see that Huge Barrier Aiena that thing and your lord is connected and both share health until it is still there, your Lord Viscount is okay!" as soon as she says this Ryu turned his attention towards the barrier in her arms the barrier was getting lighter in shade.

Lina stopped after they were a considerable distance from the town and trees were around them. While catching her breath she spoke to Aiena

"See the barrier is still there" but as soon as she said this the barrier disappear. Ryu's mind went blank. He thought 'I just wished for happy days to continue.....why... WHY!!'.

he remembered the first conversation he had after fusing with Mictian

["Why are you sending me to that world??, what's the purpose??"

"Well rest assured if it is you, I believe you will find the purpose"

"Can you not just tell me right away??"

"No, I can't"]

'Now, I know you said I will find my purpose. So be it I've found my first Goal' Ryu imagined all the things he will do to his first enemy now and then continued thinking

'He will die I will kill him!!!, he will die by my hand no matter where you go and hide in this damn world of Pefrion you will die by these hands Holy knight!!!'

Ryu snapped this had happened before too in a past life when his uncle did unjust things or when he manipulated class toppers to fight between themselves to end his bullying and now after having his personality fused, he more than accepted his evilness inside himself too. He continued to think

'You will die by my hand, that Cable will be punished too, my father how could you kill him his promise won't be fulfilled like the last life the promise will be broken'

'My first Goal: Kill damn Holy knight wait for me!!!'

Thinking this Ryu began to laugh in his mind. remembering his past life as he falls asleep from the strain on his baby body and brain from everything that happened.
