Fusing With The Ultra Hidden Boss

Ezra was regarded as a relatively talented individual in his class, and people recognised him as someone with good prospects as a future hunter. He was soon to turn 17, and that meant he would be transported to his very first tutorial dungeon. The tutorial dungeon was unique for every person, but they were notorious for having secrets which allowed lucky or smart people to get ahead as a hunter. However, the advantage that Ezra got was better than he could have ever imagined.

Tower 3

Ezra appeared on the second floor which was also a forest, however it seemed more barren than the previous ones and the trees that were present were incredibly tall. This immediately made Ezra realise that the area would probably be very large as well, and the monsters would be larger than before.

He suspected orcs, as it would make sense with the last two floors being goblins and hobgoblins, and another green skin species would make sense.

He did not want to check the quest yet, as he wanted to be surprised just in case it wasn't orcs, but he knew he would have to kill ten enemies of a single kind anyway.

As Ezra suspected that the area was going to be large, he wanted to see if his new skill would be any good for movement. He used his skill and saw that the spider silk shot out of his wrist, and when he thought of it shooting out of the other wrist it did the same. The line of silk did not stop until it attached itself to an object, and only disconnected from Ezra's wrists when he wanted it to.

He then decided to try and practice with quick connections and disconnections as well as aiming, and he did this by trying to swing through the trees.

He shot a line of web out of his right hand towards the top of one of the trees, and swung himself forward through the air, and a second before disconnecting he shot another line which connected, and he swung off of it.

He repeated this process, and after a few tries he managed to get used to the motion of swinging through the trees. This method of transportation was significantly quicker than walking or running, and Rex was able to keep up with his speed as his stamina was very good compared to a regular pet.

While swinging through the trees, Ezra's suspicions were proved correct as he came across a large orc that was walking around with a large tree trunk seemingly to use as a weapon.

Ezra's skill level for King Of Webs had increased due to his production of webs and his movement becoming better. This meant he had become quite adept with using his webs and wanted to try it out in a combat setting.

He swung down and shot a separate web at the back of the orcs head before pulling it backwards and landing on its chest as it was falling backwards. As the orc was stunned on the ground, Ezra shot a web at its mouth and nose to stop it from having any access to breathing.

He then quickly pinned its body to the ground with more webs. Once the enemy was immobilised, Ezra transformed one of his arms into its Cipactli form and plunged it into the monster's chest before ripping out its heart and crushing it. This immediately killed the monster, and Ezra absorbed the soul which soon appeared after he didn't devour the body.

- + 5 Strength -

- + 5 Vitality -

- + 2 Mana -

The strength and vitality gain were very good, while the mana gain was smaller due to the orc's lack of mana.

Ezra went back to swinging around before coming across a primitive looking gigantic base. Unlike the hobgoblin's village, this seemed more savage as bones were laid around on the floor and on top of the buildings.

Ezra wanted to take on as many enemies as possible to train his combat abilities, as he had previously used stealthy tactics that would not assist him in a regular fight. He knew he could escape if he needed to with his King Of Webs skill, so he was not too worried about entering an area with a lot of enemies.

He swung into the middle of the base and Rex followed quickly behind him. Ezra then shouted as loud as he possibly could, and hundreds of orcs came rushing out of the buildings. There seemed to be more than enough to complete his quest one hundred times which meant he would receive good rewards even if he didn't complete 100% of it.

The orcs began rushing towards Ezra and Rex, and despite their massive numbers looking like an advantage, it was actually a bad thing as they were already getting into internal disputes and tripping over one another.

Orcs were renowned for their physical strength and health for a relatively low tier monster, but they were definitely not known for their intelligence.

The first orc to reach Ezra tried to swing a punch at him, but he quickly dodged it as his reflexes had become much better with his increase in stats since he had first fought an orc.

He used his webs to connect to the orc's head and pull himself upward into the air. This smashed the orc's head down and sent Ezra flying high. He grabbed onto another orc with a web and pulled himself down towards its head. He transformed his feet into their Cipactli form and sliced the orc's head into multiple pieces with his sharp claws.

As he was back on the ground again, he returned his legs to normal as he was better at manoeuvring with his human feet. Another orc came towards him, and he roundhouse kicked it in the face, transforming his foot before slicing the monster's super body into multiple pieces.

Before the roundhouse kick had even finished, Ezra had connected a web to another orc that he had pulled towards himself. He lowered his body; and the orc was sent tumbling over him and into a group of three other orcs. The four orcs were piled on top of one another, and Ezra used his webs to secure them in place.

He fought against orc after orc with the method of closing the distance with his webs and then cutting them in two. Occasionally he faced a group of orcs that were too large for him to take on in one go, so he was forced to use Fearful Disguise to stun them before throwing them onto the pile of orcs which had been growing steadily.

Rather than killing the orcs immediately, Ezra was incapacitating them and creating a large tower of monsters which he glued together with his webs.

A few times, Ezra was faced with an enemy both behind and ahead of him, and he learned that he could use his Disappearing Slash skill to appear behind the enemy that was stood behind him rather than the one in front. This meant that he could immediately continue fighting the one ahead of himself without having to stop.

Rex was not even remotely struggling against the orcs, as he seemed to be growing stronger continually as well as growing in size. Instead of the size of a dog, he was closer in size to that of a wolf. His strength seemed to be much higher than before, and Ezra planned to check if he had reached a higher rank once they were not being targeted by orcs.

Before he knew it, the huge number of orcs had completely stopped approaching as they were now all attempting to free themselves from their tower in a futile effort to survive.

Ezra executed his master plan, as the ginormous tower was set ablaze by his Flaming Fist skill. The orcs all burned simultaneously, and their souls started to mix together into a large ball which Ezra consumed once it had finished growing.

- 999 Orc Souls Have Been Consumed -

- + 945 Strength -

- + 945 Vitality -

- + 378 Mana -

This was a massive gain for Ezra, as not only did he get a lot more stats, but he had also gained more combat ability by fighting with so many orcs. As well as this, he had checked Rex's description and, as Ezra had suspected, he had reached rank C.

Ezra planned on leaving the tower for a while as he was certain that his parents should be back from their holiday, and he wanted to see them and let them know that he was a hunter now.

He thought about completing the quest, and a screen appeared in front of him.

Ezra was amazed with the rewards. He had assumed the quest was to defeat ten orcs, but it had only been to defeat a single one. This made much more sense to him as it was only the third floor and ten orcs would be a difficult task, and he was insanely happy that he had managed to receive such incredible skills as well as 170,000 points.

Ezra could see the Recycle skill coming in handy to make sure he did not have any useless skills that would waste space in his status. He also recognised the incredible ability of the Simulation skill as it meant he could train for as long as he wanted without wasting any time.

He decided to check his status for the first time in a while to see where he stood in terms of overall stats and skills.

Ezra was incredibly happy with his status as it was incredibly high for the amount of floors he had completed, and in turn that allowed him to get even more rewards from the lower floors. While regular hunters would only be able to complete the base level quest or at most the ten times completion rate, Ezra could do one thousand times more than needed due to his incredible growth.

He decided that it would be good for him to leave as soon as possible so he could go and see his parents for the first time in a while.
