The Name 'Ghost'

Chapter 9

Elena scooted towards me when she saw me in school, pecking me on my forehead. My face was screwed up into the utmost bitterness, my eyes dilated as Isabella was watching. I pulled her off my shoulders, "what do you want?" I asked. "Ain't you excited about our wedding?" She said excitedly.

"We should be talking about hunting Henry, not some stupid wedding," Blake said in wolf telepathy, he was talking to me in particular.

"I'm not ready for your drama pls, let go of me. I sure know this is what you've been craving for, you finally got what you wanted." I smirked walking away. I looked at Isabella who was ignorantly wondering what was going on.

"Hello bro, I'm sorry I heard about it," Blake said, patting my shoulder in a friendly way, I hugged him instead, he is just the brother I've wished for. He's the only one I can relate to and rely on. "I promise to always stand by you," he whispered in my ear.

My phone beeped inside my pocket, I dug my hands instead to reach it. I brought out my phone, my eyes widened when I saw a threatening message from an unknown sender.

"Meet me at the Golden Gate by 10:45, ask about 'Ghost', and make sure you come alone."

I narrowed my eyes wearing a fake smile so as not to cause any tension from Blake. "Is everything okay with you?" Blake asked, with a heavy sigh I replied "Yeah. Um —I need to take care of something."

I headed to my car, didn't want to waste any more time. I started the engine and drove off while Blake just stood there watching me head the road. A few minutes later I was at Golden Gate, it's a place where most werewolves come to hide when there's a full moon. The sender may likely be a werewolf, so I thought. I took my phone to check what time it was only to find out I was dead, I groaned, if there was anything I hated, it was a dead phone.

I came out of my car and scanned the area to observe any funny movements, but there weren't. I decided to walk to the nearby coffee shop to wait and probably ask about this 'Ghost' person.

I felt the hair on my body stand up, it usually happens when a werewolf is angry. But, wasn't sure if it was the anger I felt as I tried pulling the glass door open.

"Hey, could I get a coffee please?" I asked the bartender. But the gruffly man scoffed as he looked up.

"Okay..cocoa? tea?"

Unsure of which beverage he was getting, but the utter behind me drew my eyes to a group of bearded men sitting behind. They went silent as I turned to look in their direction, as did the group sitting near the window. Just to satisfy my curiosity I saw the ring on one of them.

"Wolf trackers!" I sniff trying to adjust my seat. "What could they be doing here?" I asked myself trying to figure out their mission, could they be looking for Henry? I groaned.

I stood up to leave before I heard a strong strange voice

"why are you in a hurry to leave? you just got here."

I paused for a moment, reached out to my jacket, and tossed my hands inside my pocket trying to relax. One of them stood up as well, he looked intense with his bare head, but he didn't scare me a bit. I only chuckled when he came closer to me and asked

"Where are you from?"

I tried to focus on his heartbeat to know if he was agitated or frightened before giving him a reply.

"I'm not from around here sir," I lied.

"No. I think I recognize you" one of them said "You're him, you're Ghost ain't you?." Now I know someone was trying to set me up or maybe this Ghost person is wanted.

"I'm sorry sir I don't know who you're talking about, I'm just waiting for my date that's all," I said with a friendly smile. I watched the bartender throwing the rag he had been using to clean the bar over his shoulder. "What's going on there?" He asked.

"I was just leaving," I replied instead to avoid any further questions.

I reached the door but I turned instead "So, who is this Ghost guy again?" I asked them.

They all faced me in awe and disdain. One of them chuckled and replied. "You don't need to know kid, all you need to know is that he's dangerous and not someone you should toy with." I scoffed and walked out of the shop.

Sorry for the previous chapter guys, it wasn't edited. And sorry for not writing before now, I've been busy lately. And I also want to apologize for this chapter I know it's not lengthy.
