Reward

Screams and shouts can be heard from the crowd, they are happy that the test has finally finished and they have seen a battle of many geniuses.

"Now that the test has ended, the first to third place will receive a reward from the Headmaster!" Announced the examiner. When hearing that the winner will receive a reward from the headmaster made me very excited about what it could be. All I need is just a private room in the dormitory so no one will disturb my practice and research.

The hall door suddenly opened, and guards are coming into the hall. The crowd was confused why do the guards come out in a large number. "Announcing, the Headmaster arrival!" Shouted one of the guards. After the announcement, an old man wearing a soldier uniform came in. His figure was like 50 years old man, had a proportional body, and an elegant aura of dominance.

I look at him and see that he is wearing a General-Rank badge. "Welcome, Headmaster!" greeted the examiner and judges. Their eyes are full of respect and admiration for the old man. "Mmm." He hummed and nod at them. "So who is the winner of the test battle?" asked the old man.

"The winner of the test battle is Jay Khaos, Princess Alice, and Chen Ming." informed the judge. Suddenly the old man becomes shocked, how can the third-place be Chen Ming? He hasn't heard any battle for the third place. "How can little Chen Ming become the third place? I don't hear any battle for the third place." Asked the headmaster with a demanding for an explanation tone.

"Umm, the opponent of Chen Ming is unconscious and injured so she can't fight for the third place, sir." Said the judge. The old man narrowed his brow and said, "She is injured and unconscious but she hasn't made a declaration of surrendering. So I will give her the same reward as little Chen Ming!"

"Jay Khaos and Chen Ming, come to the arena to receive your reward!" Called the examiner. Because the princess was like Alexandra, she will receive the reward later. Hearing the examiner call, I went to the arena and stood in front of the Headmaster. "Hmmm, young and strong you will be a powerful figure in the future." Praised the old man and he continues his word, "Because you have won the first place, I will give you a mid-level sword skill, a private room in the dormitory, and a 50 credit for later use in the academy!" said the old man while handing me the reward, he also gives me an identity card.

After done rewarding me, he walks and stood in front of Chen Ming. Chen Ming was rewarded with a Mid-Level dagger skill and 25 credits. He also gives Chen Ming an identity card. Then he announced that the top thirty-two can leave the test hall and go to the dormitories. I walked down the arena and saw Ray waiting for me near the door, I call and we walked out of the hall toward our dormitory.

The dormitory is quite far from the academy since we have to use the Academy train. We scan our identity cards to enter the train and took a seat. We reach our destination in just about five minutes, after getting out of the train I walk to the A-1 dormitory while Ray went to the A-2 dormitory.

The A-1 dormitory which I will stay in is for a private room only, but the A-2 dormitory where Ray stays is for a noble family. So noble and a winner can have their private rooms in the academy. "Stop, scan your identity card first before entering the dormitory!" said the guards, they stopped me because I didn't scan first so I just went to the scanner and put my identity card in front of the camera. After confirming my identity card, the guards allowed me to enter.

I walk around the hallway finding my room number. My room number is 102, so I am on the third floor. Each floor has a total of 50 rooms and not all of them have an owner who stays in it. Entering my room I was surprised because it's completely clean and decorated.

I sit on my bed and open my system notification because I still haven't checked when I finish the mission.

"Atla, show me the mission notification," I said. When I said it, suddenly a blue screen showed in front of me.

[ Congratulations to the host for completing the first mission 'Join an Academy!' !! Received 500 SC as a reward ]

"Sigh, finally complete the mission it's very exhausting for me." I sighed. Then I lay on my bed and a question popped up in my mind. "How can I improve my chaos mastery Atla?" I asked.

[ Helper: To improve chaos energy the host can try to find an item or place suitable for training the chaos energy! ]

'And where can I find those?' I ask.

[ Host has to find it himself, the system will not help host searching for it. ]

Hearing the reply I couldn't help but cough and mock, "Baah, the system is so shameless. So where I should find it huh?". I think about the possibilities where the item or place could be.

"Atla, can I combine my [ Rose Thorns ] and [ Wind Slash ] skill?" I asked Atla.

[ Yes! The host can combine the two skill but it will cost 50 SC ]

"Okay, just combine it." I said while waiting what kind of skill will it be. I'm very excited to see this two assassin skill be combined.

[ Description: <Invisible Cut> is a higher level skill of Wind Slash! Unlike the previous skill which can be seen in the air, the new skill attack is fully integrated with the air and hard for people to sense it. Note! Doesn't work for people above High-Level Soldier ]

Reading the description of the skill, I couldn't help but laugh. Finally a new skill that is stronger than a normal skill. For the grade it is a High-Level skill. Even though it is still working against a High-Level soldier but it can't give an absolute victory, but it can make the enemy confused where can they block the attack.

After exhausting all of my energy to use the skill against the princess in the test, I'm completely tired and need a sleep. So I close my eye and didn't think of anything other than sleeping.
