LAKI

Laki did not know how to feel.

She was happy that she completed her quest, even though the quest reward was only 60,000 jewels, every jewel counted, especially now.

It all started a couple of years ago when a group of guild members travelled to Tenrou Island to participate in the S class trials, and of course they were all the strongest members of the guild.

The news that they disappeared came days after they were meant to return, and it hit them hard.

Moral was at an all-time low as they all drank and ate their sorrows away.

Weeks went by without anyone picking up a quest from the board before something finally changed.

Being of seniority, Macao finally picked up the scraps that was left of the once greatest guild in all of Fiore by announcing himself the 4th Guild Master of Fairy Tail.

With a leader established, guild members finally picked themselves up from their tables and began to accept the loss of their family and began to take and complete quests.

All seemed well for a short while as people began to move on from their sorrow states, but they all forgot about one important fact, ALL THEIR STRONGEST MEMBERS ARE GONE.

It didn't take long until they realized that they were in fact broke.

When Fairy Tail had all its guild members they had mages capable of taking higher ranked missions which brought in a lot of revenue to the guild.

Now with them gone they lost the ability to do those missions and so they lost a large majority of their revenue as well.

It didn't take long for other guilds to take notice of the weakness of Fairy Tail, Twilight Orge being one of them.

A couple shady agreements later Twilight Orge had kicked them out of their own guild hall to a rundown tavern and had them paying them money every month.

Laki liked to think of herself as a positive and passionate person, but just thinking of Fairy Tails fall from glory is enough to bring her mood down a lot.

But that image is what drives her to grow stronger and stronger to help restore Fairy Tails name.

This was all going through her mind on her way back to Hargeon where she could turn in her quest for her reward.

She was so distracted that she almost missed the raft with an unconscious person washed onto shore.

Almost missed it, because thankfully for Atlas in the corner of her eye she saw it, a raft with a boy lying down who looked unconscious.

*Gasp* "HUH, OH MY GOD is that a person" She yelped hopping 4 feet up.

Immediately she sprinted over leaving behind cartoonish smoke.

At the side of our hero at his lowest low, she attempted to shake him so vigorously that an eggbeater would be jealous.

"HEY ARE YOU OK" she screamed while shaking.

ATLAS

"HEY ARE YOU OK" someone screamed.

'Ow what the fuck was that' Atlas thought.

Fortunately, he did not seem to be dead but if that voice keeps shaking him and screaming his brain may just turn to mush while he bleads out his ears which would very much suck as he seems to finally make it somewhere.

Flicking his eyes open he did not know what to expect, but it definitely was not this.

Taking up all his blurry vision was what seemed to be a person with purple hair, yes purple hair.

Why the hell is that things head purple, is it even fucking human?!?!?! Atlas thought.

Coming from an isolated tribe and seeing people who all look similar with brown, black and blonde hair, someone with colorful hair was just not even imaginable for someone like Atlas.

With a few more blinks he got a clearer image of a women, who was definitely human with purple hair.

Thankfully him waking up seemed to settle her down, so thankfully he seemed to avoid death by screaming and shaking.

Still extremely thirsty (no not in the sexual way) attempted to ask for water, "W-W---Wa---tt—eer P-PP-lle—a-se" he croaked.

LAKI

'Huh I wonder what W-W---Wa---tt—eer P-PP-lle—a-se means, never heard of that language' she thought trying to decipher what the boy just spoke.

ATLAS

It took all of his last will power to utter out those two simple words and when he finally thought he could drink, the women looked out into the distance pondering.

Just as his hope was rising slightly is rocketed back down to rock bottom.

'I'm going to die because some stupid lady can't understand 2 words, and I thought dying by myself from dehydration was the most pathetic death. Congratulations me you have even surpassed your own expectations! …I guess I will see you soon mom.' Atlas thought as he fell back on the boat getting ready to accept death for a second time that day.

LAKI

Still attempting to decipher the message Laki looked out into the horizon and heavens for any clue not paying attention to the boy who she was trying to help fall back down with an exasperated expression on his face.

'Hmmmmmmm' Laki thought until it hit her, "OH WATER PLEASE, water please HAHAHAHA who would thought it would have been so simple. I'm sorry sir of course you can have some water, I have it right here" Laki said grabbing her flask.

Flask in hand she looked down at the boy seeing him back in the position she found him, "OMG GET UP ARE YOU OK I HAVE WATER" she screamed a second time which only seemed to infuriate the boy even more.

The boy slowly got up and as Laki attempted to pour the water for him, he grabbed it out of her hand and started chugging it like Cana with beer.

'Why is he so mad I was only trying to help' Laki thought.

While drinking the water Laki finally got a good look at him. He had blonde hair and blue eyes like Lucy, however his hair was dirtier and eyes more ice cold. She assumed him to be around 15 or 16 years old. Quite cute indeed.

And when he finally finished drinking water Laki asked, "Hey what's your name, Im Laki Olietta! Pleasure to meet you".

A few seconds went by before the boy responded, "The names Atlas, Atlas Haul. And it is not a pleasure to meet you".
