25 EXTRA: Crazy Cultivators

Crazy and maddened cultivators are often the strongest. This is partly due to their will and sheer preservation to continue no matter what. There was a reason that they had to be avoided at all costs.

However, this pales in comparison to the completely idiotic and dumb stuff they do for the sake of power or experiments!

Throughout the history of this Cultivation World, there have been several people who tested ideas. Those who succeeded became the strongest, and those who failed never took another step forward.

There are those who have successfully engraved their own names into the history of a plane that always forgets. When they succeed, the Heavenly Dao itself remembers, even if it's true body is quintillions of kilometers, if not more, away.

10 Million years in the universe, after the War of the Worlds, a female cultivator managed to create 9 Golden Cores within her body. This was due to a fanatical belief that life was the greatest, and after discovering the Nascent Soul Stage she began to have… interesting aspirations.

Her sheer power manifested in the form of her complete dominance over the continent. Yet, those who remember her do not think of her power. But rather her overwhelming intensity in pursuing that weird dream!

She became an absolute menace as she sought to be everything. Every particle, every life, each and every creature was one she wanted to be. Only then could she live out her perfect life.

[She] was the reason that clone techniques were forbidden in the Spiritual World, as anyone could be [Her].

– Dreamer of Life

…

A mad man took the entire world by storm as he attempted to completely spiritualize his body and create a new species. Seeing that monsters were absolutely beautiful, he attempted to make his own True Spirit. Failing each and every time without knowing why.

He was maddened as to him, Monsters and Demonic Beasts were the beauty of the world itself. There was nothing more beautiful than it… He also wanted to eat them since it would also mean that they would provide the most flavor.

Spiritual Energy increases all factors within a body, for example a man with a strong body will have a much stronger body than those who did not do it before.

Therefore, the taste and texture of the monster had the same properties. In a world in which spices and such have not been widely used other than by mortals, monster meat rules supreme.

He wanted to create an infinite source of delicacies. One that would be forever immortal. He ended up creating an incarnation of the wind in an attempt to produce an infinite amount of monsters by using spiritual energy as their main force of reproduction.

The mad man did not just create this mess, but also ended it. By eating the infinite storm monsters. Seeing that it was not enough to satisfy himself, he began to create new methods in order to taste True Spirits – the Immortal Beasts themselves!

The Dao itself was also something he wanted to taste…

– Devourer

Millions of years after the Wind Calamity, a new mad man was born. He was a normal person. WAS. The Cultivator soon discovered the most horrendous pain, shattering his meridians and Golden Core. Yet, this did not scare or frighten him. As he wanted more.

Even as a mortal, they sought to discover the greatest pains. They attempted to discover the greatest reactions in the body in order to deduce what would cause the greatest amount of pain.

Due to their newly found Masochistic nature, they delved into researching how much damage and pain the body could take before it dies. He used himself as a test subject repeatedly.

Even with his broken meridians and broken golden core, he wanted to become stronger. As only by becoming stronger could one experience the suffering that was this world.

In the end, he turned into the Greatest Body Cultivator to grace this world. Although the path to ascension was not fully cut off yet, he decided to jump into the void to see how painful it was in an attempt to ascend to the Immortal Realm without being an immortal.

Many feel that this person wanted to court death itself. Yet some agreed with his ideals and… the culture of tortuous body cultivation rose up. It was not necessary, but due to the fact that each and every body cultivator seemed to love pain, many deduced that the methods were painful enough to drive cultivators into masochism.

A new mantra amongst Body Cultivators was born, "If there's pain, then [He] shall follow. And we too, shall FOLLOW!"

– Doctor of the Earth

Four hundred thousand years after that came another Cultivator. Due to the changing tides and decrease of Spiritual Energy, she could reenact the feats achieved by her predecessors. Yet, she couldn't care less.

All she wanted was to revive her love. Yet, this was insane in the fact that the person she referred to did not actually die. They were constantly on the run from her… tendencies.

As a result, she believed that he was dead even if she saw him on multiple occasions. Seeing that they were running away from her caused her to become even more disillusioned and maddened.

Souls and of the like were only accessible to higher cultivators, and revival was a mere dream that one could not do unless they were a True Immortal. Snatching another's body required the soul of the person, but what if there were no soul?

The answer was, create it. In this world, everything was composed of the five elements, although there were aspects that came above it, you could create anything theoretically.

She soon erased her own record as she had achieved it. Reviving [Him], her perfect love. Someone who did not exist in the first place, undocumented and unknown to fate or destiny.

– Unknown Lover

Then in the proceeding hundred of thousand of years, only a few cases of true mad cultivators appeared. Yet, all of these were of no consequence or bother to the Heavenly Dao.

These were feats that could be achieved by anyone, unlike those who surpassed the Heavenly Dao in their sheer desire.

Everything was a part of the Heavenly Dao, but there were always existences that went beyond and separated itself from the clenches of it. If these Cultivators reached [Dao Ancestry] they would be able to surpass it.

Yet, the Heavenly Dao did not hate these existences, after all it was still evolving and changing. Why should a mother hate its own children for taking flight?

The birth of a brand new maddened cultivator was on the rise, even if it was not from their own, it would still be one that it would enjoy. The usage of elements were common in the upper realm, with some cultivators embodying it.

Yet, what if they went beyond? Towards a point that did not exist in their creation, a singularity that surpasses all? Everything was bound by Time and Space to an extent, but what if something went beyond it?

[Permanence] was not a true concept in this world after all. All can and will eventually fall, including the Heavenly Dao itself, the Dao Ancestors, and the many Golden immortals below it.
