Prequel - The Seven

The scent of blood flooded the city.

Seven figures stood on top of the highest ruined building as they looked around the destruction they had caused without care or contempt.

The streets below drenched in the blood of thousands if not tens of thousands of human soldiers. It would be a dreadful sight for anyone to see as it was a disgusting view of a war that lasted only days. It was almost like the gods had descended down onto the battlefield.

Posters torn lined the streets with similar propaganda.

"Resist the vampires."

"Invaders prepare to fight for what is right!"

Tanks destroyed with massive holes gouged out into them, some others thrown against objects while even some had destroyed each other. If someone had come in to look at the carnage it would only cause confusion.

Some of the destruction looked like a massive animal had torn its way through many of the armoured structures, vehicles and areas.

Massive dark black pools formed in other areas that seemed strangle devoid of fighting, nothing remained as these pools had taken everything and only clothing, weapons and other items remained strangely clean and intact.

The one thing that could cause the most confusion clearly was the fact that some soldiers had killed each other, many lay dead or dying while they still tried to kill each other. Brother against brother, army killing each other in a bloody civil war.

So much destruction that seemed almost impossible to stop.

The seven figures at the top of the building looked down at a rather worn map, circling with pens which areas they seemed to want.

The figured cloaked in shadow as they began to take different areas.

"So here is the final map."

"Lessard takes Western Europe and the North of Africa."

"Emblem takes North America with Lovelock taking Southern America. Giovanni takes Eastern Europe and Syberia along with the middle east."

The group continued to nod as each of them nodded at the respectful sharing of the land.

"Morvant takes what used to China, India and Japan along with the islands around them."

"The Vigil clan will be a peacekeeping force, seems like the best way to do this so our children don't get into mischief."

They all stopped, turning to the last figure. The only one who was standing away from the group. It seemed one of them was not interested in this whole splitting up the world.

"Blackrose, you can have all of Africa except the northern coast. Australia is also still mostly above water as well along with new Zealand. I mean, you really could have anything you want boss…"

The woman spoke quietly, cutting off the man. Her voice holding more influence or power than anyone here.

"Antarctica."

They all looked to each other with painful eyes before turning back to the woman.

"Hey Cel, it's not your fault. We had to kill him for this to…"

"I really do not care, I will wait for him to return. Nothing matters now."

Giovanni took a step forward, his voice loud and imposing.

"It was for the best, he was a weak-hearted fool…"

Lessard quickly pulled the man back, as the temperature began to plummet, Ice forming on all surfaces as the six became silent. It was not till Vigil spoke again.

"Antarctica it is, excellent. Well, let's begin."

This was the meeting between the seven most powerful figures that had taken over the world.

Though eventually, Blackrose became lost to time as many began to forget about the Original seven, the Original's becoming more of a legend than actual fact.

The story takes place nearly one hundred and fifty years in the future.

Vampires rule the world that is divided up into different clans. Each at the necks of the other for anything and everything.

Humans are now second class citizens who are simply toys for those who are immortal and bored.

Though in all things, light still exists in the most extreme of situations.
