1 Issue #1

3 cars pulled up outside of a large house in the suburbs of Georgia. Several people got out of each of the cars before pausing to assess the others that had arrived.

"I know Eric is short on child soldiers but you are too, Xavier?" Emma asked as she stood beside her car with her assistant Lilith

Xavier had a hurt look come over his face when he heard Emma's words. The recent tragedies that had fallen on the X-Men still weighed on his heart and mind. Daniel seemed as if she wanted to make a move but was stopped by Xavier who tugged on her arm.

{It would be unwise to do that, Danny. I prefer not to tangle with Emma even on my best days. If you make the first move, you will surely suffer.} Xavier warned his student through a telepathic message.

Xavier put on his best smile before addressing Emma

"I never wanted my students to be soldiers, Emma. I just wanted to show the world the potential that mutants have for good. All the battles that we have had to go through... I feel remorse that all my students have had to go through such things. But I hope that this era of pain and suffering will come to an end soon," Xavier said

Emma rolled her eyes before Magneto interrupted from the side

"Enough, Charles. My followers and I go to war with the humans yet we have lost less than you. While I admire your dreams, they shall always be that. Dreams," he said coldly, "We are all here for this new mutant. So shall we enter or do you both wish to continue talking out here while I recruit this promising, young mutant?"

Emma and Xavier looked at each other before turning to Magneto and nodding. The trio made their way toward the house with their aides following close behind. Emma had Lillith, Xavier had Daniel and Xi'an, while Magneto had Mystique and his daughter Wanda behind him.

The group walked up to the building and knocked on the door. After waiting a few minutes, a brunette in her mid-20s opened the door and looked at the trio stoically. She then opened the door wide for them before turning and yelling in the house.

"Jack! Get dressed! There are people here for you," the young woman shouted before turning her attention back to the group outside. "I'm guessing you are all here for Jack. He will be down in just a few minutes. Do you all want to come in?"

"Um... yes. Thank you," Xavier answered on behalf of the others

The group of 8 walked into the house and followed the brunette into the den area. There were several children of various ages inside but they were quickly shooed away by the young woman. Everyone then took their seats on the various pieces of furniture around the room.

After everyone sat down, they each began to introduce themselves. The woman who let them in started the introductions.

"Welcome to the Foster's Foster Home. My name is Mariana Foster and I help out around here. My mother is the actual person in charge," Mariana said as she studied everyone present

Magneto and his two followers spoke for themselves. They were famous, or rather infamous would be the better word. The war on humanity that Magneto's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants declared had been going on for over 10 years.

Xavier was also famous in his own right. He had published several papers about mutants and was also the headmaster of an academy that taught young mutants how to use their powers. As for where that academy was, it was a mystery to normal people due to the danger it would pose if anyone could go there.

The mysterious one was Emma Frost. Mariana could not recognize her from anything that she had seen before but she figured that the woman was an old friend of the pair. She also appeared to be in her late 40s or early 50s like the other two famous mutants which made Mariana even more sure that her guess was correct.

'I wish I could have seen this woman when she was younger though. She is already such beauty at this age, I can only imagine how many heads she turned 20 years ago.'

"Hello, darling. My name is Emma Frost and I am the headmistress of the Massachusetts Academy. Lilith is my aide. We just started a special program for promising young mutants. This will give them a chance to have a full-ride scholarship at a world-famous private school," Emma explained to the young woman

Hearing that she was the headmistress of the Massachusetts Academy, Mariana was shocked. Even she knew how important that school was. It was normally only a place where the rich and powerful could go. If a person was not either of those, they had to be insanely talented in either sport or academics.

Although it could not be said to be the best private school in the world, no one could deny that its influence was number one. With all of its powerful backers, graduating from the academy with honors could allow one to go to pretty much any college or university that they wished to.

'I need to get Jack to join this school. That kid always thinks in the moment and will probably join Magneto. I need to make sure that I properly beat his... educate him into making the correct choice.'

The smile on Mariana's face became much friendlier as she spoke with Emma. Xavier and Magneto tried to join in the conversation but the two women dominated it, leaving them little chance to speak up.

The pair of men shared a look and knew they were at a disadvantage. Neither of them carried the prestige that Emma did with her academy. Accompanied by her seductive body and attire that could enchant most teen boys, the chance that this young mutant would join either of them was very slim.

But neither wanted to give up. They knew they had to give their all for this young mutant. Cerebro and Magneto's mutant detector both felt that the presence that this young kid gave off was different than most. It was not more powerful than other mutants they had sensed before but it was much different.

7 minutes after they had arrived, Jack finally made his way down the stairs. Each of the leaders put their game faces on. This was going to be a difficult fight to get this new student.
