18 Chapter 14 : Power ups

Jacob found himself laying on the floor of his room, before he stood up and walked to the living room with the wider space. Getting there he focused deeply within himself to confirm that he did not dream, he started to feel the energy right there just beneath the surface. He then searched himself finding the talisman within his pocket, he looked at it before he attached it to his chest energy bursting outwards like a broken dam before he restrained it.

"My powers can not be compared to Alien X, but I may do some things on a smaller scale." Jacob told himself, knowing his powers were with him temporarily he did something about it. Focusing on his armor he willed it to be fixed, seeing that his powers were working he then enhanced his armor bringing his fantasies to live.

He made his armor into a combination of artificial symbiote and galvanic mechamorph and a mimic, added a VI that would be loyal only to him, made it immune to extreme damage, heat, cold, sound, electric and hacking as well. Combined multiple near indestructible metals that he knew of like the galactic glaze(Silver surfer), proto adamantium and nanomanium which can be applied to any metal and is able to negate magic, then he added the instant adaptability rune. Remembering Amazo the android, that had the ability to copy nearly any super individuals powers so he added that to his armor.

Then he focused and created a rune of time, once he activated it the time in all of milky way slowed down to a crawl. It gave him more than enough time to do what he had to, he like many DC fans wished to be like the flash himself. Having the power over speed under one's command as they can do many impossible things, now he would do something about it.

He would create his own artificial speed force, but not just any simple speed force but the cosmic version of the speed force. Extending his hands he started to shape the stubborn reality to his whims as the energy that surged from his hands compacted before a stone emerged from it, floating in the air crackling with lightning and barely contained energy he has successfully created his own version of the infinity stone, the artificial speed force infinity stone.

He then made a copy of himself emerge from him, Both of the Jacobs nodding as they knew what to do, the copy then used his power to open a miniature portal to Jacob's soul as he creating the necessary connections to not just his reality powers but for his speed force as well. Taking the stone he inserted it in the indent he created for the speed force the power starting spread, he then made many contingency runes within his soul and mind.

Anti - Mind control, anti telepathy, incredibly fortified mind protection that would leave any invaders catatonic state, anti possession, anti magic and anti curse runes.

Once the copy was done it faded with Jacob now armed with his artificial speed force he then connected his powers with the suit the suit seemingly turning liquid before crawling over his arm then covering his body with speed revealing his new and improved suit ready for action.

Looking himself in the mirror checking himself out, he liked what he saw himself decked in what he could describe as a combination of a speedster and a symbiote with the added factor of awesomeness.

He knew about Godwin's inability to help him if he was not in a vicinity of the stars so he created a solution, creating a locket necklace he opened it then he expanded it from the inside infinitely as he then created a self sufficient star system within it. Using his imagination he created many suns, stars, planets, different time flows and laws and everything that was necessary to keep it self sufficient.

Seeing this extraordinary sight he only smiled, then he added an invisible rune to it that would make it indestructible, anti theft and summoning charm that would make it appear to himself anytime or anywhere no matter the distance. Know that what he just created was dangerous so he created a ring that would siphon the cosmic energy from the locket's universe.

The ring shone with power that was ready of use before he added a rune of ownership and concealment on it, now that he was ready he stopped the time rune returning the milky way galaxy back to the normal speed.

Jacob then called Godwin to his apartment, who did not waste his time and knocked on his door. Opening it Godwin gave him a surprised look, "Did you take a steroid shot or something?"

Confusing Jacob "What the hell makes you say that?" Godwin that entered the apartment, then looked at him with a deadpan "Jacob just 2 hours ago we got our collective asses beat by an alien chick, and here you are after those hours with a glow up. Tell me what's the secret?"

Jacob felt annoyed at that reminder before he said "That's not how i remember things going down, we got hit sure, but i gave back double the trouble." Godwin only looked at his friend with pity before shaking his head "Whatever floats the boat, Jacob."

Tired of Godwin's antics he said "And here i wanted to give you an upgrade, seems like you don't need it after all." Turning away from his friend with his arms folded and head raised, Godwin upon hearing upgrade switched his tune real quick.

"Hehe, Jake... buddy.... you wouldn't do your bro like that would you?" Jacob still turning away from Godwin he only shrugged still turned away from him, "Okay fine, i lose...what do you want?" Said Godwin in defeat, then Jacob turned to him and said "Four weeks of pizza and beer on you." Godwin looked at him in horror, before he shook his head "Nah bruh, i don't know what you've been smoking but ain't no way I'm doing that." Jacob seeing that Godwin was refusing showed him the ring, looking at the ring then at Jacob he said "Bitch is you homo??? Am straight man, only women."

"God damnit Godwin i made this to amplify your powers!!!" Roared Jacob pissed at his friend's insinuation. "And for the record, I'll take even an old grandma than share a bed with your lizard looking ass!!" Now Godwin was also pissed "Oh hell naw!! you did not just call me a lizard you 'oh please do you have a coin to spare' looking ass!!"

After a massive roast session they calmed down, before looking at each other bursting laughing before they hugged it out, " No homo." Said Godwin during the hug before Jacob responded " Oh shut up you ghetto tar donkey."

After the final session of roasting, he handed Godwin the ring who took it putting it on his finger.

He immediately felt an euphoric feeling washing over him, as he could feel his connection to the stars amplified as if he was close to it. After coming down from his high he asked Jacob "Dude this is amazing.....How????" Jacob looking at Godwin said " I don't know how to say this any other way Godwin, except I'm a demigod."

After all he had seen including his friends transformations into Aliens, then seeing Alien invaders that look just like humans do with super powers, not including his own he just accepted the answer. "Alright then, what's the plan?" Asking Jacob, Godwin seemingly pumped to having another go at the aliens again. Jacob looking at him before looking in the direction of the Metropolis City's direction before answering.

"The plan, Godwin? We foil the invasion while kicking their collective asses." Godwin then came and stood next to him by the window looking at the same direction. "Sounds like my kind of party, loving the sound of this!" Said Godwin with a smirk.
