Chapter 11 : The Divine Revelation

"There's no way.... You are him....The OG Odin himself!!" Jacob exclaimed in disbelief, not able to believe his eyes nor ears of what he heard. Odin removing his hood showing a regal looking king with a golden eye-patch smirking at the mortal's reaction.

"Yes." Odin responded, Jacob then asked Odin "Okay since you have convinced me of whom you are...where are the others? Why am I seeing you alone here? And why is this place in such a ruin?" He kept asking questions after questions none stop " Are you in a mood for a tale?" Odin asked him "About?" Jacob asked "To answer your question, of course." Odin answered and Jacob nodded ready for the epic tale.

Odin once again sitting on his throne then conjured a chair, table full of refreshments and beer for Jacob telling him "I'd get comfortable, if i was you. And in no way will you interrupt, are we clear?" Jacob only nodded to Odin's order went ahead to get comfortable, taking a beer he was surprised that the cup refilled itself. Odin cleared his throat, getting the attention of Jacob "Are you ready child?"

"Yes sir" said Jacob, sighing Odin started waving his hand, conjuring the images and scenes of his tragic tale.

"It was long ago since In the vast tapestry of existence, a cosmic war raged—a battle of gods and goddesses for the faith and devotion of mortals. Asgard, the realm of the mighty Norse gods, found itself at the center of this conflict, pitted against a coalition of prideful pantheons from different mythologies. Their clash shook the very foundations of the universe."

He saw as the Gods and Goddesses fought one another, using the elementary forces of nature all the way to magic. The magic showing the scenes as Odin was explaining.

"The gods of Asgard had always been guardians of mortals, watching over their lives and guiding their destinies. However, jealousy and arrogance festered within the hearts of the other pantheons, who coveted the loyalty and worship of humanity. Thus, they sought to overthrow Asgard's reign and claim the mortals as their own.

The war that ensued was a spectacle of godly might and divine fury. Lightning clashed with fire, celestial energies collided, and the very skies split open as gods and goddesses clashed in epic battles. But amidst the chaos, a realization dawned upon the divine beings—a realization that the mortals, whose faith sustained them, were being caught in the crossfire, their lives disrupted by the whims of the gods."

Seeing the destruction the gods caused with their powers was beyond Horrid for description, witnessing the destruction of countless civilizations. Humans, Elves and so many mortal lifeforms getting caught between the war of the immortals.

"In a moment of clarity, the leaders of the pantheons convened, recognizing the destructive path they were treading upon. They understood the need to safeguard the free will of humanity and to prevent further interference in mortal affairs. And so, an agreement was reached—an accord that bound the pantheons to non-interference in mortal lives.

Again he witnessed many Gods and Goddesses he recognized meeting for the truce, Odin looked weary from the war but was ready to fight to the end if necessary. He saw a white being approaching them with a scroll, which after they read the terms contained within the scroll passing it between each other so the others may read it. Reaching Odin's turn he took the scroll then read, before shaking his head. Setting his hand within the scroll changing the agreement. "After today, no more shall any devine being interfere with the mortal lives." After much debating and argument amongst them they later agreed.

"For a time, peace prevailed as the gods withdrew from the mortal plane, their influence restrained by the terms of the accord. Asgard, battered and scarred from the war, began to rebuild its glorious realm, embracing a newfound sense of unity and harmony. The other pantheons, too, retreated to their respective realms, honoring the agreement forged in the wake of devastation.

However, one pantheon, consumed by pride and insatiable ambition, secretly nurtured resentment towards Asgard and the accord. Unbeknownst to the other gods, they hatched a treacherous plan, seeking to exploit a loophole in the agreement. They would betray the accord and seize the power of mortal worship for themselves.

With deceptive tongues and a mask of compliance, this pantheon manipulated events, orchestrating a calamity that would shatter the fragile peace. Their actions threatened to annihilate Asgard, leaving it defenseless against the encroaching darkness.

But Odin, the wise and noble All-Father, foresaw the treachery. In a final act of strength and sacrifice, he intervened, utilizing the last remnants of his godly might to save Asgard from certain destruction. The effort drained him to his very core, forcing him to embark on the arduous path of Odin's sleep—a deep slumber that would allow him to recover and gather his strength."

He witnessed not just Odin fighting the invaders of Asgard, but he also saw even Thor who with his mighty Mjölnir sending many beings and giants flying with the swing of his hammer. Before he aimed it to the sky summoning the lightning that slammed towards him eradicating the enemies surrounding him. Many other Asgardians fighting with might, magic even illusions, Before Odin was suddenly engulfed in a bright energy. And with a mighty roar he spinned his spear before slamming it, sending a mighty seismic energy wave not only driving the invaders out, but destroying the ones closer to himself.

"Before entering his slumber, Odin placed a curse upon the pantheon that betrayed them. A curse that would bind them, preventing any further interference in the lives of mortals and condemning them to eternal isolation. Additionally, Odin's curse held within it the power to unravel any other pantheon that dared to violate the sanctity of mortal existence.

As Odin entered his slumber, the curse took hold, sealing the fate of the treacherous pantheon and serving as a warning to all others who might harbor similar ambitions. The realms, now aware of the consequences, upheld the sacred accord, honoring the boundaries set forth to protect the lives and choices of humanity.

Asgard, though scarred and weakened, persevered. Its inhabitants, fueled by the legacy of Odin's sacrifice, vowed to rebuild their kingdom, to fortify their defenses, and to stand as a testament to the strength of unity and the endurance of their faith.

And so, the tale of the Godly Accord echoed through the cosmos, reminding gods and mortals alike of the fragile balance between divinity and humanity. As the universe embraced a newfound era of peace and non-interference, the legacy of Odin and the curse he bestowed upon the betrayers served as a timeless reminder—a cautionary tale of the consequences that befall those who seek to meddle with the lives of mortals."

Clearly transfixed on the tale as the images and the scenes seized to exist , Jacob had to ask ''Which pantheon betrayed the Asgard?" Odin looked furious as he answered, once more conjuring his memories in a form of illusion so Jacob may bare witness.

"It was the Olympian pantheon, led by Zeus, that betrays Asgard and breaks the sacred accord. Zeus, known for his pride and thirst for power, becomes envious of the influence and worship that Asgard receives from mortals. He believes that the Olympians, with their immense power and divine heritage, deserve to be the sole pantheon revered by humanity.

Driven by his desire to assert dominance, Zeus conspires with a group of rebellious Olympian gods who share his ambition. They seek to exploit a weakness in the accord and devise a plan to overthrow Asgard's reign, intending to claim the mortal plane as their exclusive domain.

Zeus, resentful of Odin's wisdom and the prosperity of Asgard, becomes convinced that it is his birthright to rule over mortals. He views the accord as a hindrance, preventing him from fully exerting his divine authority and basking in the adulation of humans.

With deceptive charm and cunning manipulation, Zeus convinces his followers that by betraying the accord, they can reshape the mortal realm in their image and ensure the undivided worship of humanity. They see themselves as superior to other pantheons, viewing mortals as mere pawns in their divine game.

Driven by their inflated egos and their hunger for power, Zeus and his rebellious Olympians orchestrate a grand scheme to break the accord and strike a fatal blow to Asgard. Their treachery not only endangers the existence of Asgard but also threatens the delicate balance of power among all pantheons.

Zeus' motivation is rooted in his insatiable desire for absolute control and the belief that the Olympians deserve to be the singular objects of human devotion. In his arrogance, he underestimates the consequences of his actions, blinded by his delusions of grandeur and the belief that his pantheon alone deserves the faith of mortals.

However, as the story unfolds, Zeus and his Olympians learn that their betrayal comes at a steep cost. The curse placed upon them by Odin not only isolates them from the mortal plane but also serves as a dire warning to all pantheons that seek to interfere in the lives of humanity. The consequences of their treachery stand as a testament to the importance of unity, respect, and the sanctity of mortal free will.

In the end, Zeus and his followers are left to contemplate the consequences of their prideful actions, as Asgard and the other pantheons rebuild, vowing to uphold the accord and protect the lives and choices of mortals lest they find themselves cursed as well."

Jacob took some time get his thoughts together after digesting the information, he then asked looking up "Is this Asgard?" Odin hearing the answer nodded, he then said sadly "We are Gods, and the state of our realm represents the faith the mortals have on us"

"Alright then...but what does all of this have to do with me?" Jacob asked Odin, who remained silent this time looking at Jacob before closing his eye in what seemed to be sorrow.

"That is because you are one of us, an Asgardian... just like the rest of us." Said another voice from behind Jacob, turning around he saw a man approaching with a distinctive features. Stepping out of the shadows was a towering, muscular figure with long blond hair and a regal beard. He wears golden armor adorned with Asgardian symbols, and wearing a hammer on his belt. His piercing blue eyes reflect his unwavering determination, while lightning crackles around him, showcasing his control over thunder and lightning.

"Thor?" Jacob asked getting a nod in return he asked Odin "What do you mean, i am one of you? I'm just a human, a mortal it's simply not possible."

Odin responded "Your Father was an Asgardian, a savior and a dear friend whom I've lost...." seemingly unable to continue, Thor continued where his father left off

"His name was Aelar, he was a legendary figure in all of the Asgardian history, he was celebrated for his mastery over elemental forces and his unwavering commitment to justice and balance that he was revered as the Guardian of the Realms. A title bestowed upon him by Odin, for his tireless efforts to protect the innocent and maintain harmony across the cosmos."

Seeing that Jacob was listening he did not stop

"Aelar served as a trusted advisor and mentor to Odin during the beginning of his reign as the ruler of Asgard. Aelar's wisdom, deep understanding of the elemental forces, and commitment to justice made him an invaluable source of guidance for Odin in maintaining balance and order in the realms.

He possessed the power to manipulate and control elemental energies, including fire, water, earth, and air. He could summon storms, command the fury of flames, reshape the land, and channel the very essence of nature itself. His powers were deeply connected to the natural elements, enabling him to bring order and stability to the chaos ridden realms."

"What happened? If he was that powerful surely he would still live...." Said Jacob, Thor looked at Jacob then his father. Odin continued

"Aelar had witnessed the rise of a formidable enemy known as Malevolence. Malevolence was a malevolent entity, bent on the destruction of Asgard and all realms under its protection. Its dark power grew exponentially, threatening to plunge the cosmos into eternal darkness.

With heavy heart and unwavering determination, Aelar made the ultimate decision to offer himself as a sacrifice. He knew that only through his selfless act could the realms be saved. The sacrifice required the convergence of immense cosmic energies and the merging of Aelar's essence with a powerful artifact known as the Heart of Stars.

As the fateful day arrived, Aelar stood before the raging storm of Malevolence, channeling his godly powers into the Heart of Stars. The celestial energies surged through his veins, illuminating him with a blinding brilliance. With every ounce of his strength, Aelar forged a barrier of divine light, shielding the realms from Malevolence's destructive onslaught.

In a cataclysmic clash of power, Aelar's sacrifice unleashed a cataclysmic explosion of cosmic energy, engulfing him and Malevolence in a blinding burst of light. As the energies subsided, Aelar's physical form dissipated, his essence merging with the Heart of Stars, becoming an eternal guardian of the realms.

Through his sacrifice, Aelar succeeded in containing the darkness of Malevolence within the Heart of Stars, preventing its malevolent influence from spreading further. His selfless act ensured the safety and harmony of the realms, but it came at the cost of his physical existence."
