2 PERVERT FISHERMAN

Even faster than a diver with fins on their feet and as clear as someone with goggles on. However, Rexana made all the diving and finding pearl shells under the twenty feet deep sea felt as easy as harvesting eggplants in the garden.

Her coming out of the water even startled a few fishermen on their boat.

"Ana is that you? How long have you been in the water?" One of the fishermen asked.

"Not long, just enough for me to find this." Ana raised the pearl shell to show it to the fishermen.

"Oh, you found pearls, do you want to trade them for the three fishes we got here? One each for you, your mother, and your father. Come up to the boat."

The smile on the fisherman's face made Rexana more pessimistic. She remembered the last time she joined them on the boat. They just took most of her pearls and forgot to give her back some fish, they were just sweet-talking to her yet never paid her most of the time and simply took her harvested pearls.

"No, sir, thank you, it's Aunt Pina's guests' orders." She immediately swam away from them as soon as she answered. She was actually lying and was just using Aunt Pina's guest as an alibi so she wouldn't have to deal with the fisherman.

Pina is an eatery owner on the seaside whose eatery is known and is a favorite drop-in place for tourists in that area, because of the exquisite seafood served in the eatery.

Nevertheless, Pina always hated how Rexana always came up in the wet dress and sandy. She always thought that her guests might get disgusted with how Rexana looked and with her messy, vibrant red hair and overly tanned skin, which could be more considered burnt, she wasn't that pleasing to look at.

Just before Rexana stepped inside the eatery, Aunt Pina's assistant or service crew went hurriedly out to meet her.

"Rexana you can't come inside." She pushed her a bit to stay away from the eatery entrance.

"But I'm just going to sell these pearls to the customers, I won't be doing anything undesirable." Rexana tried to explain with her begging eyes.

Before, she had always found a way to approach the restaurant's customers. Since never it happen that she was blocked just before she reached the door.

However it seems that the crew was persistent in blocking her, Rexana had no choice but only to watch over them from afar. She had no choice but to hope that she could find a way and catch up to the customer the moment they walked out of the store.

Rexana took another glance at the customers inside and she saw a group of mostly men who were used to living in the city. Their untanned skin showed that they probably stayed a lot inside the building and rarely took advantage of the sun's kiss.

Rexana turned around and walked away in defeat. She had decided to just wait and stay on a hammock until they got out.

Nonetheless, after all, swimming and diving the entire half-day made her exhausted and the bamboo hammock is so inviting, especially every time the air touches her skin. It hadn't taken long enough for somnolence to force her to close her eyes.

She woke up and felt a little sting in her stomach caused by wet clothes that went dry on her body. However, her mind wasn't focused on that, there were so many more important things she had to think about.

She immediately looked back toward Aunt Pina's eatery and saw that there were only a few people inside and most of them were local customers of Aunt Pina. Her target customers weren't there anymore.

"Ugh" she grumbled because of her carelessness. She was in the hammock to wait for them to go out and now she missed them. She looked over the pearls in her hands hopelessly. She thought that she could bring back home a little meat and nice vegetables for her parents. However, how could she do that when lost her chance to sell it at a good price and not just three pieces of fish.

Nevertheless, she wasn't ready to give up yet. She was still hoping that she would find another tourist on the bayside to sell her pearls. Although, the orangy sunlight was making her more hopeless. The sun was about to set and it would be just in a few little minutes that she would lose her chance to find customers.

There were fewer people on the beach today since the day started with heavy rain and it was only almost midday that the sun came out. However, at that moment it was too late to inspire people to hang out on the beach.

However, Rexana wouldn't bother if she had to walk to the other end of the shore, she wouldn't matter to go that far, just in the hope to sell the pearls. Her mom's birthday is coming and she wanted to at least give her something as a birthday gift. She wanted to buy her a new apron and cake.

Without taking so much time Rexana ran toward the shore and start finding customers. She hadn't taken long when she once again crossed the road with one of the fishermen who wanted to trade her pearls with fish. He was Bruno, he was known to be a drunkard and kept on harassing Aunt Pina's female service crew, long story short, he loves harassing young girls and Rexana's father kept on reminding her not to talk with that guy.

However, she hated how the situation kept them at a crossroads.

"Ana still looking for someone to buy your pearls?" Bruno, slowly walk towards her, with the kind of look that Rexana always hated. That stare and every time he tried to lick his lips while looking at her. Nonetheless, Rexana wasn't also taught to be mean to people and she always had to reply nicely even though, she had a bad feeling about Bruno.

"Yeah, but I'll just walk around, and maybe I could find someone who might be interested to buy this."

"You don't need to, I had told you that I want to buy your pearls," Bruno smirked.

"But you're just going to trade it with fishes, I don't need fishes this time. I want money."

"I can trade that with money though with one condition," Bruno smirked again with that nasty look of winning.

"You will this time? But, but what's the condition?" Rexana asked excitedly and she almost forgot everything that her parents said, to never trust Bruno.

"Yeah, I want to buy your pearls with this," he handed out some paper bills from his pocket and looked back at Rexana.

"Only, if you will also give me a kiss." Bruno advanced on the now scared-looking Rexana.

"No!" Rexana said as she jerked around trying to run away from Bruno.
